Stayed Mar 12, 2025I traveled to Wald Am Arlberg with my four friends to Ski in St. Anton, and our stay could not have been better! Heidi was extremely friendly and communicative, the rooms, common area, and facilities were exactly as described, and nothing beats waking up every morning to the sight of 5 majestic alpacas. The location was also perfect for skiing. There is a bus stop right across the street to take you to Sonnenkopf or Stuben to connect to the Ski Arlberg system. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Third year in a row we were guests in the apartment Zum Baren. Apartments have a very high comfort with a big living room. Price - quality level is excellent within the area Ski Arlberg.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This was our second year in Wald am Arlberg and the first time in Zum Baeren, we had a great time here with Christmas and stayed for eight days. We stayed in apartment WG3 which has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, an open kitchen in the living room. We were very pleased that we did not had to sleep on a couch bed in the living room which is common in apartments. The apartment was big enough for our fives. In the basement a ski-locker per apartment is available and four cars can be parked. The owners live behind the apartment and are very friendly and helpful. Further the skiing in the Arlberg region is perfect. In 5 minutes at the Sonnenkopf and in 25 minutes in Lech you can ski on different slopes every day. I can recommend this to everyone. We already booked for next Christmas.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A modern, well appointed custom built apartments situated in the Klosterle valley. The building is only a few years old and the overall standard and cleanliness of the apartments is extremely high. The apartment we stayed in (the larger of the two on offer) consisted of two generous double bedrooms, one en-suite and one family bathroom and a large kitchen/living area. The host is very helpful and speaks very good English! This is our second visit to the zum Baren and we hope to return again next year!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969In a few months we will visit Haus zum Bären for the third time. What makes us come back every year? In the first place the combination of four appartments makes it a perfect place to stay with the whole family (12 people in december 2007 in the age of 1 till 63). In this house we are together and at the same time every family has its own appartment. Second the ski-area Sonnekopf is very close to Haus zum Bären. It's a nice ski-area with very friendly people. Perfect for families with children. But also for adults or teenagers Sonnenkopf offers enough good pistes. For those who like bigger ski-areas Lech and Arlberg are easily reachable by car. We always enjoyed ourselves in Sonnenkopf. More about Haus zum Bären. Heidi, the owner, is very friendly. Fresh bread every morning is a perfect way to start the day. The appartments are spacious and clean. Good beds. Nice and personal laintings of the owner on the walls of the house. Our children play with the slegdes in the garden at the back of the house or near the church of Wald (steeper slopes!). And Wald is a pleasant little village. And at last: the house is easy to reach by car. All this makes us come back (and I can assure you, that's quite special for people who like to go to different places for vacation!).

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Just 5 minutes from ski piste 'Sonnenkopf' you'll find this new apartment-house with 4 apartments (opened in december 2006). We stayed already 2 times at apartment number 4. This apartment has a large living/dining room with an open kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher and oven. 2 large bedrooms, one with its own bathroom (shower) /toilet. Seperate bathroom (shower) /toilet for the second bedroom. All rooms are nicely decorated with wood and paintings from the owner. Skibus stops at 50 meter. Supermarket in Dalaas, 5 minutes by car. Each apartment has a heated skilocker. Garage accomodation for 4 cars. Very friendly young owners who lives in a house behind the apartments. We are looking forward to visit this apartment for the third time in first week of january.
