Wonderfully comfortable! Lovely setting !

2nd stay at this beautiful house with a wonderful ocean view and access. The owner was exceptionally gracious and accommodating. We plan on returning to this rental.

This house is in a beautiful neighborhood that is quiet and has beautiful views. It’s so comfortable and clean and the beds were amazing too!

The house, the setting, the quiet neighborhood and the close proximity to the ocean,state park and town--all were great and appreciated by our group of five best friends of more than 50 years. Highly recommend this VRBO for friend/family reunions.

nice older property. All went well. A couple of minor details which could easily be resolved included:1. Table foot on deck broken but did not impact function of table as we did not use it for meals. 2. No soap or shampoo for shower/bathroom other than hand soap. 3. spices and single salt/pepper shaker were good but zero sugar (we were not going to bake, so didn't need much but not even any for morning coffee, as we checked in late the first night.

Great location

Check in is a breeze! Communication is wonderful. Lots of supplies to cook with in the kitchen. The house is great for entertaining! Go treasure hunting down at the waters edge.

Third time staying at Golden Cottage and it again did not disappoint! House is lovely and comfortable in a great location with fabulous views.

We have rented many beach properties over the years and this home is one of if not the nicest of all. A spectacular view of the ocean from the brand new deck, the dining area & kitchen. On the second floor the two primary bedrooms feature balconies with equally breathtaking views of the ocean. The entire home was meticulously maintained and clean throughout. Very well equipped kitchen. The owner thought of absolutely everything. The owner was quick to respond to any question. A truly wonderful property!

Beautiful location. Ample bedrooms and relaxation space for our group. Easy to get to local points of interest and even walked to a great dinner at the Emerson Inn. Great communication with host and definitely met our expectations. Would love to return

We rented this home to spend Halloween in Salem. Just close enough for ease but far enough to relax at end of night.

Well-maintained, spacious house with nice decks to enjoy the spectacular ocean view. Tons of natural light and ocean views inside from the many windows. Super comfy beds/linens and towels. Stairs a bit narrow and slightly steep might be a challenge for some but no problem for us. Excellent kitchen. Very quiet and beautiful neighborhood.

We had a great experience, our stay was short but this location was great for accommodating our group of friends. More then enough space for 7. The views were amazing.

The pictures don’t do this property justice. Absolutely beautiful, and very comfortable. The back yard is larger than it looks, perfect place for games like a soccer or corn hole. Didn’t have to contact the owner while there but I did a few times before the trip and she responded immediately. We had 9 people sleeping there and a few more during the day and for meals, and we had plenty of room. Very clean and quite a few small appliances in addition to large stove and refrigerator. We will go back for sure.

My stay at Golden Cottage by the Sea exceeded all my expectations. The view of the ocean was truly stunning and the house was spotless and well-stocked. I loved sitting on the porch in the morning looking out over the ocean. The neighborhood was lovely, with many public walking paths. I highly recommend Golden Cottage by the Sea for a quiet, seaside vacation.

Our group ranging in age from 83 to 12 really enjoyed our stay in the Golden cottage. Great ocean views from main living area and kitchen plus 2 bedrooms. 5 bedrooms (all upstairs- be aware if someone in your group has difficulty with stairs) with good amounts of space. Very nice updated bathrooms and an awesome shower upstairs!! Kitchen well equipped and pleasant to cook in. Dining table has room for 10! Kids used backyard for volleyball, easy walk to Atlantic Path.

This was our second stay at the Golden Cottage by the Sea. The cottage is clean and well kept with 5 bedrooms and an open main floor that is great for socializing. The view from the multiple decks is spectacular. We saw whales from the deck during our dinner on the first night. It is an easy drive to the Rockport Historic District and to Glouster for a dinner out or picking up fresh seafood at Turner’s Seafood. This is an easy home to make memories.

Family vacation with my children and young grandchildren and thoroughly enjoyed.

We had an unbelievable stay at this wonderful house. There are very thoughtful touches that help make guests feel so welcome comfortable and tended .This house is exceptionally clean. This is our 2nd stay and it 's just perfect for our family, from 2-80yrs

We could not have had a better location for our trip with our adult kids and niece. The house was perfect for our seven adult group. Plenty of room in the kitchen to cook together - and we found all the kitchen gear we needed. The back deck was another favorite place,

Great place to relax. Very nice kitchen to work in with several people. Very quiet neighborhood. Interesting walk on the rocks to the Halibut State Park along the water.

We spent 9 days in lovely Golden Cottage in June. Loved the musical theatre (Fiddler), a visit to the Crane estate and gardens, poking around the artists’ shops and antique shops, and the many public walks in the area. Relaxing and fun. The room-sized LG AC units were terrific, and the whole house is so well thought-out, though a working toaster and a blender would be good additions. I’d love to come back again!
