Fantastic Large Home Right On Beautiful Lake Pepin!

The home is beautiful and had plenty of room for our whole family but lacking In the parking area. Only enough room for three cars. With a 5 bedroom home I would suggest more parking otherwise absolutely perfect place!

Plenty of room for our group of 9 Fiber enthusiasts. Had a great weekend of knitting, sewing, and laughing. Lighting was a small challenge but we made do with extra task lights we brought with us (just in case). Beautiful view, especially with the two eagles hanging out in the tree in front of the place! We plan on returning next year.

Perfect house for our annual Girls Weekend! Not too often you can find a house with enough beds and 4 bathrooms to accommodate 10 women that's affordable! This was our 3rd year in a row at this place, and by far, our favorite. We tend to just hang out at the house and relax, but there is plenty to do in Lake City and lot of them within walking distance. The house has a beautiful view of Lake Pepin!

Super clean and lovely home. This has all the amenities we needed. Very comfortable beds, beautiful view of the water and an excellent location, walking distance to shops and eats. Host was very responsive. We’ve stayed twice and I’d highly recommend!

This was the perfect setting for our group’s annual board game weekend. The home easily accommodated our group of 8 with room to spare. The home was clean and had everything we needed.

The space was what needed for our family as a home base for a family wedding.

There were no children, only adults over 65. Communication with host was great and the cleaning lady was lovely. She was just finishing when we arrived at 4 p.m. The location allows for a great view of Lake Pepin and easy hiking.

We loved the location, number and comfort of beds, large gathering table, overall comfort and cleanliness. We’re staying again next year.

Wonderful place to spend our friends' weekend! Spacious enough for all 6 of us to have our own bed, which is tough to find. Excellent kitchen & dining space, well equipped with stuff we needed, gorgeous furnishings, comfortable beds. The outdoor space is lovely & it's close enough to the marina we could walk over to the marina. Best of all, the checkout process was a breeze! No stripping beds or massive post-stay-clean-up requirements- just run the dishwasher & take out your trash & recycling. Highly recommend! Will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic location for enjoying lake activities. Kiddos luvved beach, park, splash pad across the street. Fire pit gathering place was a magnet for the adults. House has everything for a comfortable & relaxing stay. Easy check-in & check-out. Will definitely be back!

This is our second visit to this house. The location is great.

This was our 6th year back and already booked for next year. We love this place, so close to the beach and now the beautiful park just finished last year, we can walk to the Marina where we rent a pontoon and also a boat slip for my grandsons small boat. The house is always clean and so homey. This year was great weather and water was perfect. Great communication!

Perfect spot for kids to play and adults to relax. That’s a difficult combination to find!

We appreciated the amount of space in the house which allowed quite a few of us to stay together. Also really enjoyed the outdoor seating area and fire pit. Unfortunately the awesome view was blocked by construction equipment which deterred our enjoyment. The house has a real lake cabin feel, comfortable beds and plenty of seating. Given the cost of the rental, we might have expected a more upgraded fit and finish as well as amenities like coffee and shampoo which we had to run out and purchase. Loved breakfast at Heidi’s - most hopping spot in town!!! Overall, enjoyed our stay.

Very nice home. The a/c had a difficult time keeping up but the days we were there were very warm. Otherwise, this is a very nice home for several people.

The house was perfect for our large family gathering on the lake. We loved the park and splash pad across the street. Lots of space to gather indoors and out. Everything was clean and comfortable. The house/kitchen/bathrooms/laundry were all well stocked. I also want to add it had easy TV instructions (as most VRBOs do not). We had a great time and would stay again.

Golf trip with some buddies. We had a great time playing golf in the Lake City area, and the house was awesome for that. Had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and relax in the evenings. I could highly recommend this to anyone staying in Lake City. Thanks again. DP

Needed a place for extended family to stay - multiple family units and all generations! There was enough space and the gathering places in the house were perfect. The location was better than we had anticipated. A lovely place. Stairs to the upstairs are steep for certain people. Two rooms on the main level for those who can’t do stairs. It worked out great. Would choose this house again!

Beautiful house with plenty of space for each couple. The location is perfect for relaxing and people watching. Very friendly neighborhood. Loved the view of the lake while sitting on the cozy outdoor area. We will definitely be back again!

What a great house. We had a group of women friends, so the 4 bathrooms were so nice. This house has a perfect location, awesome outdoor area, huge amount of room and is cared for very well. We enjoyed the accommodations immensely!

Amazing view of the river complete with an eagle nesting in a tree. Enough bathrooms for our group, plenty of space, puzzles with ALL the pieces and within walking distance to pretty much anything you could need or want.

We have an annual weekend getaway and have stayed in many places. Lake City and the Chestnut House is our favorite and we'll be back for our third stay next March. This year we experienced the ice breaking up which brought quite a few eagles to see

We had a great stay! An easy walk to the marina, downtown and the walking trail. Plenty of room.

Very clean, loved the outdoor seating and fireplace. Everything there that we needed.

My four siblings and I stayed at the Chestnut House for two nights in October. It is roomy, clean and comfortable. Everyone was able to have his/her own room. We especially enjoyed sitting around the large dining table looking out over the water. Although, we would have enjoyed a few cable tv stations. We will be back!!

10 sisters and one sister in law have been here for three days for the last 4 years. Already have reservations for next year. Love the house and you cannot beat the location. Best spot in Lake City

We have been coming to Lake City for several years to golf at the Jewel. This has been our best rental by far and we have already reserved for next year. Liane was a perfect host, the house was spotless and the location couldn’t be beat!

Our group of 8 Senior citizens have traveled a lot together over many years but Lake City and this house have been our go-to place. We have stayed here multiple times over the years when we remember to get our reservation in quickly. Fills up fast. The accommodations are wonderful and the location is right on Lake Pepin, close to downtown Lake City. We have never been disappointed staying here.

Location and enough bedrooms is the seller. Price and terms compared to other places we've stayed, were less than desirable. Yard and patio not kept up. If you parked in the garage your vehicle would reek when you left. A couple beds were horrible! Very nice person to deal with though!

This was the third time we had stayed at Chestnut House, and it was just as wonderful as the first time. Great location, spacious, clean. Plenty of opportunities to enjoy beautiful Lake City. Would highly recommend renting here and from Liane. She is a fabulous hostess. Thank you again for a memorable week with our entire family.

This property is one of our favorites. The location is perfect for beach, park, downtown and marina. The house is well stocked for anything you would want to do. Games, books, kitchen ware, comfy beds and outdoor furniture. The 8 of us relaxed and enjoyed what lake pepin and lake city have to offer. We will be back!
