Stayed May 3, 2026The cottage was comfortable and clean. The location had stunning views of the Burren with access to trails right from the driveway. The locals were amazing including our host Anne as well as Peter and Nina at Mountain View Horse Centre! O’Donohue’s pub has the best seabass supper with lovely folks serving us. We hope to return soon.

Stayed Apr 18, 2026The cottage was impeccable when we arrived. Check-in couldn’t have been easier, as it was entirely up to us when to arrive and check in. The host, Anne, was extremely welcoming and friendly, which seems to be characteristic of the Irish along the west coast. She responded immediately to inquiries, so we were never left wondering. The cottage has a little guest book with lots of great information on local pubs and restaurants, the sites, and the fascinating history of the area. The house itself is very charming, with all the modern comforts while still retaining the character of the local architecture. And finally, for anyone who appreciates the countryside, the wild coast along the Atlantic, and literary and historical traditions, this area is perfect for a relaxing and fascinating sojourn. We can only highly recommend the Fanore Cottages.

Stayed Jun 9, 2025We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The cottage feels very authentic and kind of old. The location was in the country near the coast. The area is beautiful!Ann was a wonderful host. The plumbing was a little wonky. There was an extra energy charge when we checked out which was unexpected. It was not a lot, but just unexpected.I would recommend this if you want to experience the Irish country and coast.

Stayed Apr 11, 2025Coming from a city, this house was a little piece of heaven with the ocean, green fields, and birdsong. Anne was incredibly kind and made sure we had anything we needed. I'm already dreaming about going back!

Stayed Jun 20, 2024We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The Burren is right out the door and the countryside is beautiful. House was well stocked and clean. We used this as our base of operations for a few days while exploring Galway and other places on the west coast of Ireland. Would definitely recommend!

Stayed May 13, 2024A clean, roomy cottage with 5 bedrooms, large kitchen, dining room and living room. The host is wonderful and so knowledgeable of the area if you have any questions. The cottage is not located in a village so be sure to stock up on groceries in Ballyvaughan or Lisdoonvarna on your way. There is a pub with food located just a few kilometers away. It was a very enjoyable stay with so much to do in the area. Just not enough time!

Stayed Jun 12, 2023Nice Cottage in rural area! Loved the cows right at the back patio! The hot water took a minute to figure out would be nice if this info was included in the cottage info book! Beach was a bit further than expected but beautiful! Anne was very nice and responsive!! Wi-Fi should be included with cottage info as well, Delayed figuring out the hot water because we didn’t have service. Beautiful area, Irish music in Doolin Pubs was fantastic!
