Edgetts Lodge sleeps 30 in its 6 bedrooms.
You won’t see Edgetts Lodge at first. You will see the big sign carved by a local artisan and the drive curving through 38 pristine and private acres of old-growth red pines. It takes a few minutes to get there, but when the lodge comes into view it is well worth the anticipation.
Built from the huge red pines taken right from the property, Edgetts Lodge is 5,100 square feet of hand hewn rustic log luxury and sky scraping windows. It sits high above a riverbank with a breathtaking view of the Pine River; one of Michigan’s most beautiful and unspoiled blue-ribbon trout streams.
Edgetts Lodge property runs on both sides of the river and the Pine is designated as a “Federal Wild and Scenic River” - rated one of the Mid-West’s best for kayaking and canoeing. You will see white tail deer, wild turkeys and even bald eagles in the forest. The lodge property is good for all seasons activities: trout fishing, angling, hiking, cross country skiing and snow shoeing to name a few…
As you enter the lodge, it will feel like you have come home – the perfect combination of indoor comfort and wraparound porches and decks. The lacquered pine walls, the trophies and special details: you are bathed in the golden glow. On the first floor, there is a spacious great room with a field-stone fireplace, a gourmet kitchen, formal dining room and a master suite with private balcony. Downstairs is a fully equipped, ground floor game-room with a cozy, field-stone fireplace and 2 separate “bunkhouse” bedrooms and full bathroom.
The upper floor boasts a second master suite and private balcony, a family room with built-in media room and large screen TV and two additional, multi bunk bedrooms (known affectionately as the Bear Room and the Moose Room).
All in all, Edgetts Lodge sleeps 30 comfortably. There is a game closet, a laundry room, 3 ½ bathrooms and panoramic views of the Pine River and the surrounding woods. Whether you are a family celebrating a milestone birthday or anniversary; a group of friends getting away from it all; or couples on a romantic holiday, the Lodge is the place to call “home” for a week or a weekend.

We have a 16 man golf outing and have stayed at the lodge for 5 years now. Amazing place! Can't say enough about it. Never disappoints!
We had a recent bachelor party at Edgetts Lodge and the group was looking for lodge that gave us privacy with a view. This lodge DOES NOT disappoint! The pictures absolutely do not do this place justice. Beautiful river views with amazing customer wood-work throughout. Basement offered a poker table/mini game room for our group. Fishing right out back and enough privacy to get you away from the city hustle. I would definitely recommend this lodge, as I know I'll be going back! Thanks again to Mark and his staff!
Had an awesome time at the lodge. Very clean and well maintained. Everything was perfect and owner was very attentive to make sure we were happy. Will definitely go back!
There was 22 members of our family that stayed at the Lodge. We all loved it here. The Lodge is beautiful and well maintained. The group went fishing, kayaking, and golfed at nearby courses. I walked every morning and seen deer every time. The deer even came in at night and watched us around the fire pit. It is a great place to stay, also very quiet and serene. A good place to chill out.
Edgetts Lodge is an awesome place. First starts with Mark and care and attention to detail he puts on your stay. He took great care to make sure everything was spelled out and straight forward. Also you can tell Mark wants you to love your stay as much as he loves being up north. Then you have Doug, he is the care taker. Really nice guy and knows everything about the area. The lodge is massive, plenty of room for 14-20 people. Everything from the kitchen to all the rooms had everything we needed to feel at home. But the real magic is outside. A beautiful view of the mighty Pine River. So much space in the back, we played bags and frisbee cup for hours. Please do yourself a favor and take your family and friends. It is the most relaxing time! Thanks Mark and Doug for the amazing stay!
Loads of space, beautiful lot! Highly recommend for a family gathering or friends weekend.
As a four time returnee to Edgett’s Lodge, I can not say enough wonderful things about this place! The layout of Lodge is lovely. One walks into a gorgeous entry that flows right into a magnificent great room with floor to ceiling windows, overlooking the Pine River. The wide open kitchen allows many people in to work at once. The dining area is also designed for a large group. The bedrooms are spacious and there are plenty of bathrooms. We vacation at Edgett’s Lodge yearly with a group of other professionals and our tween age kids from Ann Arbor, MI. It has become a tradition for us now. We take advantage of Caberfae Peaks during the day, make dinner together in the wide open kitchen in the evenings and then sit by the fire or put together puzzles in the great room. The kids love to play ping pong and cards in the finished basement. This year we even ventured out at dark and made a fire by the riverside fire pit and roasted s’mores. Mark has been a very kind owner and allowed us to arrival a day early and leave late this year. He is very responsive to our communicate with him and we felt cared for during our stay. We will be renting again next year!
This is our fifth time at Edgetts Lodge, and each time the experience exceeds our expectations. From the great staff, wonderful pre-trip communication to the beauty of the winter-scape - this is a northern Michigan paradise! Plenty to do in the area for recreation, or for those who go in the winter - plenty to do if you just want to stay cozied up indoors. The best compliment I can give it is - it will make you feel as though you are at home. Thanks Mark, Doug and Julie - we will see you again!
I am running out of things to say and words to describe this Lodge and the atmosphere of peace, beauty and wonder. I had a smaller group this year of high school teens but still the place was perfect! Laughter filled flowed from the loft as the teens laughed and played games. The fire roared all weekend filling the place with warmth. Mark is an amazing owner and Doug, the caretaker is only a phone call away. I recommend Edgetts Lodge to anyone looking for a place a getaway with family and friends. It's large enough to sleep and accommodate many people, spacious enough for everyone to have their own space yet somehow cozy enough to feel quiet and intimate. It was a great weekend and already I am looking forward to next year's visit. Thank you Mark!!
Our family had a great time at the lodge. Very comfortable sitting areas for the family to spread out and relax. Wonderful view of the Pine River. The toy/game closet was a big hit with both kids and adults. The only issue was that family members over 6 foot didn't fit on the full-side beds.
