We had everything and some that we needed for the weekend! Could use some heat in the bedrooms but the comforter and blankets provided kept us extra warm. Thank you so much! The Rodgers family
We rented the Mill Pond Hideaway for our annual ORV trip. Shawna was wonderful with communication prior to our trip. Upon our arrival we had a few questions...she was right over and even helped us out with a trail map. Such a very kind lady! The cabin was clean, very tastefully decorated and close to town. The two bedrooms are on the opposite end of the cabin so you have privacy if you travel with others. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans, utensils, etc. I would suggest bringing any type of condiments, cooking oil or seasonings along with you. The bathroom is a decent size and is well stocked with towels, toilet paper and a few travel size toiletries. My AT&T phone did not have service, however those that had Sprint and Verizon did not have a huge problem. Outside we enjoyed the firepit and a few miles down the road is a very nice man that sells firewood. The ORV trails are just a short drive down the street and will keep you busy for hours. About a mile from the cabin is the quaint town of Luther. There is a small grocery store where you can get eggs, milk etc but I would suggest bringing these items with you. There are also a few pub type restaurants in town that were pretty good. All in all, we had a wonderful time and I would highly recommend this cabin for your getaway. Thanks James and Shawna for a great weekend!
Very relaxing weekend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was beautiful and had everything you would need for your stay. We spent a lot of time on the porch overlooking the pond. We watched the deer across the pond in the mornings and evenings as they played along the shore on the other side. The beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of linens and towels. The cabinets were well stocked also. We were very impressed as to how it was decorated and how new everything was. Had plenty of parking for our vehicles and trailer as we went ORVing while there. Very relaxing. No cell service for some providers, but one cell provider did work. We would definitely recommend this place to others and would love to come back again. You do need to have the homeaway app on your phone because the VRBO app doesn't have the info you will need for the cabin. We did stop by and look at the other cabin in town and it was really big and roomy if you had a lot of people staying .It too was very nice. We would consider staying there too if Mill Pond wasn't available. Jim and Shawna have done a wonderful job with these cabins.
The cottage is well appointed- especially the kitchen which has about every thing one might think of. Two bedrooms, both beds were comfortable and a good size bathroom. We did not get a cell signal or wifi, so that was challenging for us. Luther is small but there is a little market with the staples and two bars that serve food all day long. The fishing is supposed to be great but we did not fish. Overall it was a very peaceful place to unwind and relax.
We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed it very much! Everything was well maintained and clean. It felt like home! I would like to stay here again. I, definitely, recommend staying here! Thank you for sharing your hideaway!
The cabin is great. It is comfortable, cozy, clean, and well decorated. The two bedrooms are separated by a laundry room and then a kitchen. Each bedroom has an air conditioner which when turned on in the heat of the day air conditions the whole cabin. The overhang facing the pond provides comfortable seating all day even though it must have been 10 degrees hotter on the road. No surprise but AT&T does not have service in the cabin but Sprint does. The beds are comfortable and one of the bedrooms has its own entrance. The kitchen has every pot, pan, and utensil possible. The photos and the videos on this site are accurate and perhaps don’t even do the place justice. I guess you can tell I loved it. I was alone for 3 nights and felt perfectly safe before I was joined by my step daughter. Luther is smaller than small so I would suggest bringing fruit, vegetables and meat if you are planning on cooking or eating healthy. There are two small stores in this one block town that have all the snack foods and drinks you want. The people in town are very friendly and welcoming. I was especially happy to meet Shawna and spend some time with her. She is delightful. She and Jim answered a host of questions prior to my visit and she answered more questions once I had arrived. I definitely recommend Mill Pond Hideaway and I would love to return.
Property was very clean and had everything we needed. We were able to drive our side by side directly to three different ORV trails and had a blast! Also caught several bass in the pond. Super nice folks in town and on the trails and even had a nice surprise of town fireworks we could see from the cabin.
We had a blast!! Very nice little cabin in a very nice little town
We had an amazing stay. Perfect cabin for 4 adults and 2 kids. We cooked meals for 10 here and enjoyed the outdoor seating areas. The kids loved the boat and fishing. Our phones worked fine, no need for internet since we were here to spend time with family. The bedding, towels, kitchen stuff was all nicely cared for and left for us to use. Wonderful weekend!
