Family Tides - Gated Community of Destiny East, Great Amenities, Comp Golf Cart!

The house is incredible! It is absolutely huge with plenty of room for everyone. We had 14 people staying ranging from kids 11/12 years old to teens and adults. We were never on top of each other, there was more than enough room in the huge bedrooms and plenty of seating in the common areas and a huge kitchen. The check-in process was basically automated and the codes were all correct and worked as expected. Some of the door handles to the balconies seemed difficult to operate whether it was user error or just effected by the salty air, but we figured it out! There was plenty of parking for 3 vehicles in the driveway. The golf cart was great to have to help haul chairs and umbrellas and bags to the beach.Overall, this house is absolutely incredible and we had an amazing time!

Absolutely loved the property but within minutes of being there our socks and feet were filthy from the floors. House keeping was contacted and attempted to clean the floors, we still had dirty socks/feet. We purchased cleaning supplies and cleaned the floors which resolved the issues we were having. Unsure if they are not using the proper cleaners for tile, but after we spent a couple hours they were great. Everything else was perfect.

We had a wonderful group spring break with friends and family meeting up from multiple states. There was more then enough rooms for everyone. And best part bathrooms!!! Great location close to the beach and clubhouse, so you get the best of both worlds. I’d say the only downside was how dirty the floors were. Are feet were black within minutes of being there. And the top floor bedroom and bathroom entrance door didn’t lock properly. Could be pushed right open. The same for all the balcony doors, those also didn’t lock or stay shut. The little kids easily pushed them right open even when locked. The bedroom above the garage can be loud with it opening and closing. It needs blinds that can block the neighbors lights. Or if anyone is outside and someone is trying to sleep. As well as the balcony blinds, don’t go to the floor so you can see if somebody’s getting changed or laying in bed. Definitely needs some updating and maintenance (ceiling can see where there was a leak and ductwork can see insulation coming through, as well as a good scrub of the jacuzzi tubs). The property was seriously beautiful. I’d still highly recommend staying. The property management was pleasant to work with. Can’t beat the location and atmosphere.

Good: The space is very large and decorated nicely. Well stocked with supplies in the kitchen and bath/bedding to suit a a large group and or multi family trip. There was privacy between families and it was great having the golf cart included. Communication was great, but honestly it was too many messages. Bad: When we arrived the floors were all very dirty, we all got black feet so ended up having to wear shoes in the house the rest of the trip. The hall bath toilet stopped up and there was no plunger. We bought one and left it there. All of the dishes in the cabinet were dirty. Majority of plates had not been washed, and almost all glassware (both sizes and wine glasse) were dirty. We thought it was a bad dishwasher- because it’s quite old, but when I ran a load it worked great. So we bought more dish soap pods and ran 3 more loads to clean all of the dishes and glasses the first day. (It was annoying but better than cooking meals and having nothing in that moment to eat off/drink with) Also beware: they go around and take pictures nightly so you can get charged if you miscommunicate between ppl staying with you and someone leaves the trash can out. Literally the day they pickup it had to go immediately back. We left it out longer because they passed us and didn’t pick our up. Then after the beach it was going to storm really big, and one part of our group thought it would be better to leave it out but closer to the house so both cars and golf cart would fit in the garage. Next morning first thing it was put back to normal. Well I get a call that we have a $59 fine already. (This was the morning after pickup, we didn’t leave it out long) so yeah, we were technically in the wrong, but quite petty that they don’t have any leniency at all. Just know the hoa is watching at all times We would stay here again, but we go the management company will ch check the dishes and glasses and joy trust the previous renters. Also less message would be nice.

My family and I travel to Destin a couple times a year. This was by far the nicest property we’ve stayed at! The house is beautiful with beautiful decor. With 5 bedrooms and at least 5 bathrooms we had more than enough bedrooms. It has multiple balconies! The house comes with a golf cart although you could also walk to the beach from the house. I could go on and on about all the nice features of this house. I would definitely recommend and we will definitely plan to stay here again!!

This home was absolutely beautiful and spacious, my family really enjoyed and we hated to leave! There was plenty of toys and chairs to take the beach and the golf cart was a plus for trips to the beach and pool! The only thing that I didn’t like was having to put down a deposit on the armbands used to access the community pool. I feel as though the armbands should be at the property upon arrival and guest can be charged for all armbands that are not returned versus having to go to the office and put down an additional deposit. ( Just a suggestion) Overall I would definitely book this home again!!
