Stayed Dec 28, 2025Host was very kind, organized and attentive. Communication was excellent, the house itself was beautiful, clean, and well cared for. Set on the lakeside, the view from the backyard is perfection . exactly what you could want for a vacation to New Orleans, close enough for a short drive to the city, or over to a more laid back quiet town of Sidell to grab groceries or enjoy a less busy area for a meal. yet perfectly secluded on a quiet street, away from town and traffic. Great place to unwind in the evening or just relax all day in. We would absolutely love to stay here again if we ever venture back down this way.

Stayed Aug 14, 2025Great stay! The walk out pier is great, though at the time, had no power/lights at the end. The elevator is *not* available for guest use, a stipulation not specified in the listing at the time we rented. A/C must be kept above 70 in the summer, which is fine for most people, but for some with heat induced/related illnesses, may not be cold enough. Otherwise, I loved it.I can only hope for an elevator and power at the pier for next time.

Stayed Jun 15, 2025The house was very nice, decorated well and welcoming. Great view and location, close to marina, best one To go to is The Rigolets Marina though. Loved the house ,The beds were comfortable after a long day of fishing. Lovedthe breakfast nook, nice and cozy to eat at, or read on the table. Kitchen well stocked with essentials like paper towels, dish soap, sponges, spices, and coffee and coffee condiments. The Keurig coffee maker did not work, so we bought our own. Plenty of room for our family to lounge, relax, and sleep. Bit of a climb up the stairs, I should have prepared better for that, because I Got a good leg workout. There’s only one entrance In and out of house through front door. The bathrooms were stocked with plenty of towels and washcloths, shower soap, shampoo and conditioner {nice surprise}. There was a porch that goes all the way around house To look out. I wish the chairs were more comfy. Bring your chair to go down to sit on dock. The dock was nice to fish from but there are no night fishing lights. The lights on dock go on and off, they won’t stay on. Bring headlamps. We bought 2 crab traps for crabbing, and were reimbursed. Make sure you get turkeynecks or fish scraps to bait traps. We caught several nice redfish, lots of catfish (hardheads)no good] croakers, and crabs. We used fresh shrimp, WORMS, and fish bites as bait. Mostly tight lining. Caught oyster shells also lol. Nice hammock fun to swing in.We enjoyed vacay very much. Had a great time.

Stayed Jan 16, 2025This was a wonderful property. The house had plenty of room and we appreciated all of the items there to help us get started like toilet paper, coffee, paper towels, dish soap and sponges. The beds were so comfy. It was about 35 to 40 minutes from the French Quarter and an easy drve...but longer when rush hour. We liked being away from the craziness of the Quarter and loved the sunrise! Would definitely stay there again!

Stayed Mar 23, 2024When we arrived, we all were happy with how clean the property was. It was honestly even more pretty than the pictures posted. The kitchen was spacious and had all the equipment we needed. One of our favorite parts of the house was the lovely balcony overlooking the lake. It was such a beautiful view to look out at every morning. Communication was also excellent. Any questions we had were answered quickly. David was always friendly in his replies. We would highly recommend this home!
