Falmouth, Massachusetts
*Note - during the summer this is a Saturday to Saturday weekly rental. Feel free to check on flexibility, but for most weeks we hold to the Sat/Sat traditional Cape Cod schedule.
This 4-bedroom home-away-from-home is outfitted with your comfort, fun and convenience in mind for your time in Woods Hole or Falmouth. Walk or bike to the village of Woods Hole or beaches. Ride, skate, run or walk the Shining Sea Bike Path. Eat out on the deck (or grill your catch of the day!) while any young ones play in the yard or laze in the hammock. Play board games, watch a movie, borrow a book, or challenge a friend to Foosball. Most of all: go to the beach!
Our kitchen has a gas stove, fridge with ice maker, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker (and a multi-cup coffee maker), microwave, and everything you'll need to cook, bake and serve. Our dining room table extends to seat 10 -- or eat at the picnic table on the deck.
Three upstairs bedrooms (each with queen beds) and a downstairs bedroom (two twins) and two full baths - both updated - ensure plenty of room and privacy for your group of up to 8. We have a pack-n-play if you have a young one in your family.
Information on local attractions and restaurants is provided so you can plan your adventures. We enjoy the beaches, the bike path, day trips to Martha's Vineyard, and Cape Cod Baseball League games in Falmouth. Where will you explore from this comfortable home base

This VRBO is in a great location and the owner has many extras to make your stay enjoyable. We parked our car after arriving and walked, biked or took the ferry to enjoy our week. This house is located by the bike path for easy access to Woods Hole and Falmouth. The beach is 1 mile away, the bikes provided made this trip easy and fun. We would come back again!!!
This is a lovely house at the end of a quiet street with a fully equipped kitchen, nicely upgraded bathrooms and lots of amenities like beach chairs and even bicycles. There are three bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs, and there was plenty of space for the 7 of us. We had our 4 year old granddaughter with us who loved the lego box in the playroom area and of course the beach. There are many beaches to chose from and one day we walked to the ferry in downtown Woods Hole and went to Martha’s Vineyard. There is so much to do we ran out of time! I would definitely recommend this house to anyone who likes peace and quiet at night and lots of activities during the day.
We stayed at Traci & Matthew's house for two weeks, with a rotating cast of family members. The house is well appointed, fully stocked kitchen with all necessary gadgets (including a lobstah pot) that one would need. There's plenty of space for people to all be together, or find a quiet nook for some alone time. We enjoyed the large deck (much bigger than it looks in the photos!) and ate many of our meals outside. The outdoor shower was lovely after a day on the water, and helped keep the indoor bathrooms free. The location is amazing, close enough to everything, yet very quiet and private at the end of the street. The bikes allowed us to roam around without shuffling cars in the driveway, or getting stuck in the summer traffic. Our college-aged children loved biking into Woods Hole, Falmouth, the ferry, and all of the beaches. My elderly mother has mobility issues, and the first-floor bedroom and bath were perfect for her. In the photos, the downstairs bedroom was set up as a bunk, but it was two twin beds which was much easier! The master bedroom was very spacious (with a giant closet!) and a desk, which allowed for some remote work days. We miss it already!
This home is very conveniently located close to beaches and the town of woods hole. Easy access to ferries to MV and lots of towns nearby to explore. The home was easy to settle into and comfortable. Really appreciated the access to supplies and laundry. The owners set us up with a few essentials to get us started (coffee, tp, soap etc) and we’re responsive when we had questions. Thanks for a great week!
We had a lovely experience staying on Glendon Rd. The street was quiet and the house was within walking distance of the center of Woods Hole. There was plenty of space for the six of us to spread out. Great amenities such as bikes, beach chairs and toys, and a full kitchen. The deck was a wonderful spot to sit, drink coffee, and enjoy the morning. We would absolutely consider staying again!
Where do I begin? The booking process and communication throughout was exceptional. When we drove up to the house I just smiled thinking - wow - this is home for the next week. The house is at the end of a quiet street that has access to a walking and bike path. Everything that you could think of was provided (except the bed sheets and bath towels, of course). There’s a beautiful backyard and deck (with a hammock!). It is in close proximity to the Steamship Authority (ferry over to Martha’s Vineyards) in Woods Hole (although we took the Island Queen ferry from Falmouth because the parking is much easier). We enjoyed walking and shopping on Main Street in Falmouth as well as in Woods Hole. My daughter (who is 10) is interested in Oceanography so I signed us up for a tour of WHOI (Woods Hole Oceanography Institute) - it was beyond my expectations. We hit a new beach every day - each had its own unique touch. Traci knew it was my daughter’s birthday and left her a little something which really added a personal touch! We can’t wait to go back!
This house was perfect for our visit! We have lots of family in the area, but recently sold the one big family home where we (I) have stayed for the past 50 years. We decided rather than foisting ourselves on a relative's floor, we would simply get our own place nearby. This was perfect! We did a lot of our own meals and the kitchen is beautiful and was fully equipped for strawberry-rhubarb pie, margaritas, or simple barbecue. We were able to have different family members over each evening, and hosted up to 10 people for one dinner. The outside space was lovely. I had my morning tea on the deck each day, our older daughter made use of the hammock, and we barbecued several evenings. We used the bikes to get around some and found the trail to the bikeway very pleasant and easy. Several of us used the outside shower - which was awesome! (And helps to keep the bathrooms free...) The bedrooms were more than adequate for our purposes, and we even had one bedroom to spare so if any of our nieces/nephews were available, we could've hosted them fine. I would definitely recommend this home and the hosts, who were always very quick with their responses to any questions we had both before and during our stay. I'm hoping it will be available the next time we get to come to the Cape! ?
What a peaceful place. We loved every moment of our brief stay. The house was very well-supplied and the bathrooms were particularly great. Outside the home, we were able to do and thoroughly enjoyed several of the activities that were recommended by the owners. My kids did not want to leave!! We would love to come again. ;)
Our trip to Woods Hole was just what we needed as a reset before the fall. We felt lucky to find a rental late in the season and even more lucky when we got to the house. It's a great little house, just like in the photos. What you can't see is that the house has everything thing and more that you need for your trip - from beach equipment to coolers to a well-stocked kitchen and laundry room - everything was more organized than in my own home. We loved cutting through a path to the bike trails and finding a few small beaches just 15 min walking from the house. We used the bikes every day and rode into town or the beach. Traci was super responsive before, during, and after our trip. Wouldn't hesitate to come back to Glendon!
This Woods Hole home makes the perfect family getaway! There is a lot of comfortable sleeping, eating, and living space for adults and kids alike. We enjoyed all our meals on the back deck, which includes a grill and a large picnic table. Clean up was easy with the compact but remarkably roomy dishwasher, an amenity we were grateful to have. The hammock quickly became a family favorite, and it's big enough for two so our kids could share! The owners have thought of everything to make vacationing (especially with kids) easy: There are books to borrow, puzzles and games to play, and DVDs to watch on a rainy day. They also provide bikes, beach chairs, and other gear that is wonderful to have but difficult to travel with. On the basis of the owners' recommendation (they provide a book of restaurant menus and local activities) we ordered pizza to be delivered to Stoney beach at sunset - it was a highlight of our stay! After a day at the beach, we loved the convenience of the outdoor shower, clothesline, and washer/dryer. Easy access to the bike/running path kept everyone in our family happy. We are returning guests and will definitely be back again!
