Family Beach Getaway

Good communication, quiet location, well equipped kitchen, great having access to beach chairs. We had a great stay and did not want to leave!

Great fishing trip at the Family Beach Getaway property at North Topsail beach. This is an awesome rental at a great price. 3 balconies and an great ocean view.Had every amenity we needed. The owners Paul and Cheryl were awesome to work with! I would recommend to anyone renting a vacation property to try and find one listed by the actual owners and not a management group. You will have a much better experience! We WILL be back!

Like other reviews said the pictures online don’t do it justice. It’s a really nice beach themed house. It’s nice and bright. We enjoyed our stay and I didn’t want to leave.

It’s our second time here and really like the locale and the comfort of the townhouse. Everything needed for our stay was available including a full size washer & dryer. Paul was great responding to my e-mail when we weren’t able to use the cross over (damaged from the Nor’Easter) and where to go. Wouldn’t hesitate to rent again! Thanks Paul!

Very clean and owner was great to deal with. Would have appreciated some paper products being provided, even just a partial roll of TP. (Understand the listing says none provided.) Fine place for the price.

Loved it! Perfect place to stay if you wanna be at the beach not directly on. The decor and house set up is super cute! And we are movie people so having older VHS tapes from my childhood was a super cool bonus for us!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was phenomenal. We wanted a quiet place, with space for our family of 4 within walking distance to the beach and that was exactly what we got.

Our stay was amazing! As everyone has said, pictures don't do it justice. It would be lovely if they could be updated on the listing to get an accurate representation of what to expect! Everything has been tastefully updated and felt homey. Upon arrival, it felt spotless and ample towels and bedding is provided. The front door key pad can be finicky (batteries died when we were there and no replacements to be found) but an easy issue to be solved! Getting to the beach isn't too difficult (even with a toddler) and the pool is a nice option to have as well, with a small wading area for little ones. The kitchen had the basics, and the books/games/movies were nice! Be warned though that we were unable to hook up the video games and vhs tapes even though they were provided. We would definitely come back to this sweet place!

Everything was as described. Great place to stay we really enjoyed our time there. The beach is just a very short walk away which was also a plus. Would definitely recommend.

We were very pleased with our accommodations for all our needs for family & friends for a wedding reception weekend.Our hosts provided plenty of kitchen & bath supplies. We had plenty of room.Nice & clean, great communication with hosts.Great location & nice view. Ospreys flying past the front window & more.

We had a pleasant 3 night stay at this condo. It was clean upon arrival - you could smell it had just been cleaned - but we did notice a few deep cleaning items that were missed. But nothing major and there were ample towels! The distance to the beach was slightly longer than we thought reviewing the pictures as this home is at the very back of the complex. The general location of this home is in a quiet area at the north end of the beach. The actual beach here was nice but not as wide as some other areas further south. If you visit during the high season I suspect this beach would be crowded. There are very few restaurants on the actual island. We ate at two that were within a couple of miles (Seaview Pier and Splash) and also at Rick's back on the mainland and all were good. You will have to go back over the bridge to the mainland for an actual grocery store ...so plan ahead! Overall, a good place to stay and reasonably priced.

What a treasure! This was the perfect get away spot for those just looking to enjoy family time. Convenient to the beach and pool, plus Surf City is about 20 minutes away if you are looking for more activities other than the beach and pool. Owners were very responsive and communicative, Townhouse was clean and had all the amenities if you prefer to cook at home most nights. We would 100% stay there again. There were 5 of us and plenty of room!

The photos don’t do this place justice. It’s a great spot and you can see the ocean from the balconies. The upstairs was bigger than I expected! Had some trouble with the shower initially but the hosts were quickly able to provide guidance. I appreciated the tea kettle! There were spices etc in the pantry and although we didn’t cook much, there seemed to be a good bit of utensils and cookware. There were hangers in the closet which was nice, and the washer/dryer worked great. Overall we were very pleased.

Took the kids to the beach for the weekend and had a blast. After getting settled in it was like we were staying at our own home. The four porches was a really awesome experience. There were plenty of supplies and the walk to the beach was right out the door. Parking underneath was great because it was raining when we got there and it was easy to unload and load the car. Highly recommend to others.

We loved a weekend here and we're quite impressed with every little thing. We hope to be back when pool is open (it looked so inviting!)

Lots of space to spread out and great location with easy access to the beach. Several things were broken or not working, including the futon. Floors also were dirty and don’t look like they had been swept. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our time here.

The townhome accommodated my spouse and my friend very nicely. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the access to the pool. Hosts were very responsive. The check in and check out process were very smooth. Kitchen is also well stocked with appliances / utensils. I love all the balconies. Overall, a great price for the value! Would definitely stay here again!!

This is a charming townhouse! It was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed. We very much appreciated the detailed instructions so we knew what was expected of us as your guests. While the beds were not very comfortable, that is truly to be expected as everyone has their own bedding preferences. Thank you for allowing us into your home.

This was our second stay at the Family Getaway. We had just an amazing time .. very comfortable stay, easy access to pool/beach. Our kids love it, too. Highly recommend!

Thank you , Paul and Cheryl, for a wonderful place in a wonderful spot near the beach, this was out fourth or fifth time, and we cannot wait to come back. It feels like home but better, because there is a beautiful beach, wonderful pool and the ocean, we love the seafood markets around as well and the Maine Lobster Shack restaurant with the best lobster rolls ever.

Everything was great from cleanliness to price. The owners were friendly & helpful. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again.

We were there during hurricane Debby and felt safe in the town house. The waves were fierce. But we were able to find lots of shark teeth. All appliances worked and were thankful for a nice washer and dryer. We were in and out of the rain all week. The kitchen was fully furnished with coffee maker, dishes, bowls, pans etc. Just bring your own paper products, dish and clothes detergents in case the renter before you didn't leave any. We wouldn't hesitate to rent it for next season.

This condo has a fantastic view of both the ocean and pool. There are 5 balconies to enjoy the ocean and bay view. A spacious condo with updated baths. The pictures do not show how light and airy the unit is. Also, the owners are very responsive! Enjoyed my stay and will be back.
