Wonderful property in a beautiful location.

Had a lovely time!

The lake Eden cottage is well kept and has everything that you need. It is a serene spot with water surrounding 3 sides. The cottage has numerous windows offering a great deal of light. It is located on a quiet road and the only traffic is from other residents. Communication with James was easy and he did get back to us in a timely basis.The only problem that we had was the comfort of the furniture. The main living area is rattan furniture with ill fitting cushions and an old futon with an old mattress. One bedroom is advertised as a queen and it looks to be more the size of a full bed. I do not wish to discredit the property, because it is a special place. I just feel that this should be mentioned giving you an awareness.

A Beautiful Gem in Vermont!! We had an amazing anniversary get away to Lake Eden. This cottage is clean, comfortable and has everything you will need. The view is Gorgeous!! Our pup loved swimming, the yard is very roomy, the screened in porch so nice to relax on. I cannot say enough good things about this rental!!! Hope to visit again

Everything about this property and Lake is fabulous. House is well stocked, clean and very comfortable. If your desire is to stay in a home lakeside, THIS IS IT!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property. The house was as described, clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The views were stunning. It was early in the season but the fishing was still good.Would definitely return.

The home was warm and welcoming. We had temperatures between 30 and 60 degrees and were always comfortable. There are many things to do in the area and we enjoyed hikes, restaurants and maple sugar farms.

We enjoyed our winter stay very much! Quiet and secluded. House was clean and well lit.

Communication with host was great. The house was perfect for our needs for our ski trip. Fireplace was difficult to work and it would have been nice to have some more seating in the living room. Overall a very nice and clean house.

This house was absolutely wonderful! We were here for our Mardi Gras break and to enjoy the snow. It was the perfect distance away from Stowe to not be in the middle of the touristy area but close enough to enjoy the town. We loved the ambiance of the fireplace and the cabinet full of games. Kitchen was full of many amenities to cook most meals. House was clean and cozy. It snowed while we were there and the driveway was even cleared quickly for us so we could safely get out.

The house is so cozy and has everything you need. We were there over a very cold weekend in February and we loved coming back to the house to sit by the fireplace.

Great place for going skiing in multiple locations. House is lovely and well orgarganized. Just an heads up for people like me that do not read the amenities. There is no TVbut plenty of games.

This is a beautiful house and we enjoyed it perfectly for my wife’s 60th birthday. She wanted to go somewhere cold, with snow and this was the perfect place with the lake frozen over and covered with snow. We loved it so much!

Accommodations were as advertised. Very clean and well equipped for our stay. Great location. Access road was well maintained in the winter weather.

The tranquility of the home is perfect. Simple, clean, and spacious. Not to far of a ride to Jay peak for skiing. Would stay again.

Already booked for next year!We’ve been coming to the Stowe area to vacation for roughly 20 years, and we think this homey cottage/cabin directly on Lake Eden is certainly the most picturesque we’ve rented. And if you are there during Thanksgiving week, as we were, extremely quiet – we were pretty much the only ones out there – other than a flock of wild turkeys.Despite the feeling of remoteness, you are only 15-20 minutes away from Morrisville and the grocery shopping/dining opportunities there, so it makes a good base of operations for heading out to visit much of what Vermont has to offer.When weather was not favorable, just sitting inside with a snapping fire going in the fireplace and watching the lake change colors and mood was extremely relaxing.Beds were very comfy, showers had great water pressure, and country kitchen is spacious and very well-stocked for cooking most meals. We brought our own knives and non-stick pans as we would for any rental, but the ones supplied were in pretty good nick. The washer/dryer just off the mudroom entry are quick and efficient.If we had any suggestion for improvement, it’s that the living room furniture could use a refresh – the cushions on the wicker chair and futon are quite flat, so trying to curl up with a book in front of the fire was not that comfortable.FYI, the shared, single-lane, private driveway/road to the house is tricky only in that there are some very deep potholes, so you def want to keep the speed down.

Absolutely tremendous property and outstanding owners! This place has become a cornerstone of our winter travel plans, and we find ourselves looking forward to it all year.

The host, house and location were great. All activities in the area were about twenty to thirty miles which is not bad, when you consider we were vacationing there for sightseeing. Only suggestion I would have would that the furniture needs updated for more comfort and maybe a television.All in all great place and great time. Thanks James for sharing with us.

The Home had everything you could possibly need to feel home away from home. The only thing we couldn’t find was a potato peeler. Everything else was fantastic! Stowe is about 30 minutes away. Burlington is 45 minutes away. It’s a great base camp to explore local attractions if the weather isn’t great. Can’t wait to return!

This place is in the perfect setting if you want to get away from the crowds and relax. Nothing better than tight lines in a peacefull surrounding! We absolutely loved our time we spent here!

Beautiful property, spacious home, relaxing.

Idyllic lake location, we were in and out of the water all day. Special treat listening to the loons early morning. Good grocery options in Morrisville. Also easy 30-40 minute drive to Stowe and Waterbury where we enjoyed the downtown shops and eateries.

Three generations of family and our dog had a lovely weekend on the lake. We really enjoyed that the house had modern amenities like wifi, grill, and a stove for cooking our meals. The yard was very private and the water access was ideal. We're already considering booking again in the future!

This was our third year at this property. We are always sublimely satisfied. The best is the feeling of privacy being on surrounded by water on 3 sides. We like the simplicity of the decor and the lack of a TV. We also like that certain basic food stuffs are left (like salt and pepper) in case we forgot them. It's perfect.

Beautiful clean water. Long evening fires listening to loons and watching the sky.

We love this lake house so much, it's our fourth time back! One thing to note is that the room with the king mattress has an extremely soft/plush mattress that's even softer than we remembered. If you need a firmer mattress definitely sleep in the Queen room.

This was our second year at this house and it was once again fantastic. We had one minor issue that was out of Jim’s control, but he solved it the next morning after I reported it to him in a Sunday afternoon. I already have next year booked and can’t wait to return to Lake Eden!

This was our 4th year having a family reunion here with grown children and grandchildren. Plus one lab. We all enjoyed the water (especially the dog!) as well as the large yard. The screened porch and the house itself are comfortable and roomy places to gather to talk and eat together. We're already looking forward to next year's reunion!

This was my family's third year at the lake house, and we had a wonderful time as always. The lakefront is absolutely beautiful, and we really enjoyed swimming, kayaking, and fishing. The house is very comfortable and has everything we need. Already looking forward to next year!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The cabin was very clean. The grounds were kept wonderfully. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances. Jim, the host, checked in halfway through our stay to see how things were going and they were going great. Overall, we had a wonderfully relaxing time. We got to reconnect with family and we'll definitely stay here again. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay!! We had kids ages 6mo-12yr and they loved it! They spent the whole day swimming in the lake and enjoyed canoeing. The weather was over 80 but we were very comfortable with the breeze through the windows. The views are stunning! The beds we also very comfortable and we utilized the kitchen and grill with no issues.

This property was just like it was described

The location and cottage were amazing. We did a lot of activities in the rain: walk, fish, boating and lawn games. Absolutely wonderful place for a family weekend. We had plenty of space inside and out.

My husband and I did a long weekend away for our anniversary. Neither of us have ever been to Vermont so we figured we’d give it a try. The property is as described. Its a beautiful house, extremely clean, kitchen was very well stocked, and the house was extremely comfortable. Did not realize there was no TV completely missed that in the description however we did have my iPad and a speaker so we were able to watch TV. There is not much to do in the area in May however unless you have good days for hiking, which we did not it rained every day . But I’m sure in the summer when you can use the lake more and in the fall when they have different events as well as winter with the skiing, there would be so much more to do there. But if you want a very nice quiet time away without hustle and bustle, this is a perfect spot. We are hoping to go back during one of the other seasons, either summer or fall to experience a different time of year..

We stayed 6 days, my wife, daughter and friend, and our two dogs. Roomy and clean, very beautiful cottage. Fully appointed kitchen with all the supplies one needs. We built a fire in the big handsome fireplace, also with all the tools needed. We appreciated the choice of two dining areas, we pretty much stuck to the breakfast nook. Every morning we dropped the girls at Jay Peak, then myself, wife and dogs, hiked, relaxed, napped and enjoyed the quiet. Would love to do it again!

The house is situated at the end of a point on lovely Lake Eden. We felt like we had the lake all to ourselves to enjoy in the mid-winter! We had a glorious sunny day to play outdoors with our dog, and the house was cozy and warm. We used the wood fireplace for ambiance and happily read our books. The kitchen is well stocked and the appliances all work well. The bed was comfortable, the bathrooms clean. The mudroom entrance is perfect for wet boots and all of your gear. We had all that we needed and felt like we were truly out in the country!

Stunning location! This feels like a home that a family has been very happy to have for decades and they've decided to share some of the joy and coziness of the property with others. The property is well maintained and situated on a peninsula on a lake that is gorgeous even when completely frozen. As soon as we got through the door we could immediately relax. Wonderful fireplace, comfortable beds..we were happy with this choice.

My best friend and I stayed here for a weekend and enjoyed the beauty of the frozen lake, the warmth of the house and the very well stocked kitchen! We did some cooking and found that the dishes and cooking tools/pots/pans, etc were perfect. Very quick responses from the host, everything was as described and expected. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the home! My best. friend has asthma and allergies and she had no reactions at all in the house, which is quite impressive! Would highly recommend.

Lovely quiet unplugged long weekend on a beautiful VT lake.

We skied Jay Peak for two days, water park on the second day. We looked forward to coming back to this place at the end of each day, made family meals in a kitchen that has everything you could need. Played a lot of board games and had CONVERSATIONS with each other. What a concept! Happy New Year!

Our second year celebrating the holidays disconnected from screens and the absurdity chaotic life we all deem “normal”. No place better than Vermont to get away and no property better than this one to rest/recharge/recenter. Jim even arranged a White Christmas for us.

Very lovely place, and would be a great stay. The house is surrounded by lake on 3 sides, which is very cool! The kitchen is well equipped and clean. Beds were comfy. If you're staying on the futon downstairs during the winter, just make sure to bring some extra layers as it can get a bit chilly a night. The provided space heater was very appreciated. Overall awesome stay and highly recommend to others.

We were amazed by the beauty of the area and the house was perfect. Highly recommend it. My son who lives in New England wants to go back with friends for a skiing trip.

This was our second time renting this incredible lake house for the Thanksgiving. Once again, we had a wonderful, comfortable stay. It is exactly as advertised and in some ways even better. The location is incredibly beautiful - the house sits on the point of a peninsula on the lake, in a spot that means you are surrounded by the water on 3 sides with a beautiful view out of most windows. Bedrooms are roomy and beds are comfortable, equipped with plenty of linens and towels. The living area is very spacious, as is the kitchen which is exceptionally well stocked with plenty of plates, silverware, glasses, and every cooking implement you will need (it was Thanksgiving and we did a lot of cooking). Jim the host is very responsive and always helpful when needed. With luck, we will be returning here next Thanksgiving as well.

Our 5th stay. Can't beat it. The owner is extremely nice. Property is spectacular.

We’re already thinking about when we can go back.

My husband and I were looking for a vacation away from everything and when we saw this property, we thought it fit the bill. It was a very scenic ride on the way there and once we reached Vermont we just took it all in, all the beautiful sights of nature at its best. Once we arrived at the house, it was just as described. We enjoyed the tranquility and the beauty of the location.

This was our first vacation since the birth of our son. Such a special time for our family, and this was the perfect place to spend it. The location, backyard, lake access, were unbeatable. The kids and our dog had a blast. We hope to return again next year. So many thnks to the host!!! :)
