EXPLORERS WANTED! INTOWN home: Short walk to ocean, shops & Acadia Park trails!

Great property! It was very convenient to town, just a short walk to the shops and restaurants. The house had everything we could possibly need!

Very cozy home , well stocked we had everything we needed. Quiet neighborhood but very walkable to down town and restaurants. We were delighted with Rockcairn and highly recommend this stay.

Truly a perfect stay. The location was in the best spot to explore all around Bar Harbor and the home was cozy with so many amenities. A wonderful spot for our family with a child less than 1 and a dog.

Charming 1900’s home. Nice park a few steps away. Walked to town and the wharf everyday with the littles for meals and tours. Quiet, away from the busy part of town but close enough to walk. Will definitely be back

We had a wonderful stay at Sherri’s home, and she is probably the best host we’ve ever had the opportunity to rent from!! The home’s location can’t be beat - only an 8 minute walk into town and 2 min walk to the large ball field/park in BH. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and there was plenty of seating and amenities for our group (supposed to be 7 adults, but ended up being 5 of us). It was also very nice to be able to do laundry after long days of hiking and exploring the park! We brought our dogs with us - the property was comfortable for them and this is one of the few properties in town that allows pups. This was a game changer for us as we wanted to experience Acadia with our dogs after visiting for many years without them. Of note, the side yard/driveway area is not very usable if you’re parking cars in the driveway, and the yard is not fully fenced (the gate didn’t latch closed during our stay). The outdoor seating area also isn’t the most usable as there are lots of bushes and trees that have grown in over the years.. but this wasn’t an issue for us as we were busy exploring town! Overall, I would definitely stay here again and really loved renting from such a wonderful host who truly wants the best for her guests! Thank you, Sherri!!

We had a great time at The Rockcairn and would happily stay again! Spacious, plenty of sleeping space, and easy walk downtown or drive into the park. Sherri was very helpful throughout the whole process. She answered my questions ahead of time in a timely manner, let us drop off our bags when we got in early before check-in, walked us through the entry/exit details, and checked in on us once during our stay. Such a wonderful property and attentive hosts! The home was clean and comfortable, perfect for our family of five with our teenagers. The location provided great access and easy walking distance to downtown Main Street, as well as access to Acadia and trails. We will be back!

This home was a great location to wander into Bar Harbor and explore the island as well as Acadia National Park. Hosts were very attentive and eager to provide help and advice. We very much enjoyed our stay!!

Lots of bedrooms. House was clean, host and hostess responded quickly to our emails. Quiet neighborhood. But the location alone is fantastic. Within walking distance of town, the harbor and other attractions. Parking is at a premium in Bar Harbor, and it all adds up. I would stay here again.

We had four couples staying and this house was perfect for us! We loved how spacious the house was to hang out together at night and how close to the Main Street shopping and restaurants! The hosts were amazing and took care of everything that was needed immediately. We will definitely stay here again!
