Whether you bring your boat to enjoy water sports, use the house as a base to explore the High Country or just throw a stick for your dog, Pete's Hideaway promises a great holiday for the entire family.
The house is a fully renovated, comfortably modern holiday home situated directly on the shore of Lake Eildon. The large, elevated veranda offers stunning views of the lake and the iconic Bonnie Doon bridge and invites to relax, enjoy al fresco dining and watch the boats go by. A privatetwin berth jetty is available for mooring boats and jet skis during summer (depending on water levels)
The lake invites you to enjoy all kinds of water sports ranging from boating, jet-skiing and canoeing to swimming and taking leisurely walks along the shore. Ride your bicycle along the 'Great Victorian Rail Trail', explore the Strathbogie Ranges on foot or motorbike and in winter, drive up to Mt.Buller to hit the snow slopes.
If you are in need of rest and relaxation, just stay in the fully climatised home, choose a book from the extensive library, cook up a storm in the very well-equipped kitchen and stay in bed until noon in the super comfy beds.
The home is fitted with reverse-cycled ducted air-conditioning for comfortable temperatures in any season.
The kitchen is well equipped with a five-burner gas stove, an electric oven, dishwasher, large fridge and an extensive array of cooking utensils.
The master bedroom contains a queen-size bed and has its own small deck facing the lake; perfect to enjoy a quiet drink away from the kids. Of course, there is an ensuite with shower and toilet
Bedrooms two and three contain double beds with queen-size doonas.
Bedroom four potentially sleeps six people as it comprises two double beds as well as two elevated single beds.
All bedrooms offer storage for your clothes and personal items.

    Our family (which consists of three adults and one Labrador) loved our short stay at Pete's Hideaway. We holidayed here some 18 months ago and liked it so much that we came back. The house was very comfortable. We soaked up the views from the back deck which overlook Lake Eildon and the surrounding mountains. The private jetty was great to tie the boat to and made it easy whenever we wanted to go for a ski. Our host Ryan was extremely helpful and ensured that all of our queries were addressed upon checking in.

    Absolutely hands down one of our favourite locations to stay. The house was amazing, the view out on the deck was beautiful, and we loved going for a stroll down to the island and have a fish throughout the day. We had plans to head out for a drive and look around the area, but the car did not move. We loved the place so much we didnt want to go. The worst part about this stay was the fact we had to go home highly recommended.

    Just where you want to be on the lake “front and centre” couldn’t get better if you tried❤️ great for watching all the action on the lake and easy access to launch your boat and keep it out the front where you can see it … amazing , comfortable , clean , huge fire pit and plenty of entertaining areas. Great for the dog and accommodating , but not a fenced yard, but balcony is secure . New laundry facilities , kitchen in the summer would be amazing with all the bifold windows and doors . I absolutely loved this property and everything it has to offer , the Host Ryan is so helpful and a phone call away if you need assistance. Can’t go wrong with this property .

    We loved this place. The view from the balcony is incredible, rooms were very clean and double glazed windows kept us warm when it's cold outside. We can say this was the best accommodation we have stayed for our holidys so far. Thank you!
