The Trinidad Pearl is one-of-a-kind. With stunning 180-degree views of California’s Lost Coast from nearly every room, this historic home sits on almost four acres of private, sprawling oceanfront. Enjoy the spectacular views while relaxing in the new hot tub. It’s the perfect location to experience the best of Trinidad.

When the sun comes up, enjoy your coffee in a rocking chair on one of two private furnished decks while watching sea lions on the offshore rock formations. Wide-open beaches are a short drive from home. Escape to the forest to surround yourself with towering Redwoods, lush ferns, and wildflowers. Sue-meg (Patrick’s Point) State Park is within walking distance, and Prairie Creek Redwood State Park is just north. The adorable shops and restaurants in Trinidad are down the road, while Arcata, Old Town Eureka, and Ferndale are all a short drive.

At home, play oceanfront pickleball on the newly-added private court, and yard games on the rolling lawn in the pure sea air. When you find downtime, gather on the large decks for a glass of wine or local beer, and fire up the gas grill for a summer cookout. Keep your eyes open for whales, bald eagles, hawks, and of course, sea lions! Sunsets are epic at the Pearl. In the evenings, enjoy stargazing and s’mores around the outdoor firepit while the waves crash below. For more formal meals, the fabulous full kitchen boasts a double oven, extra-large gas range, stand mixer, stainless steel appliances, espresso machine, high-end drip coffee maker, and much more for every chef’s culinary creations. You’ll love heated bathroom floors, custom Craftsman interiors, large luxury stone showers, and a soaking tub with an ocean view. Four large bedrooms each have comfortable beds with high-end mattresses.

Quiet evenings at home call for games, puzzles, and reading by one of two wood-burning fireplaces as your music plays over the whole-house sound system. Others can watch a movie on the projector in the loft lounge space. A separate lofted home gym/yoga room makes it easy to stay in shape during your stay!

When vacation and business overlap, the Trinidad Pearl is set up for remote work with views of the sea. There are desk workspaces in three of the bedrooms. Fast WiFi (100+ Mbps) provides strong videoconferencing capability and stable VPN connections on a whole-house mesh system.

Our family stayed at the Pearl for a week. It is a beautiful house with plenty of room for the family as a group and to get away for privacy. The location is truly stunning. It is hard to believe you are there when you look around. We had great fun on the pickle ball court. Lots of competitive and fun games with the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop. Two nights we had a fire outside which was also magical. The house wanted for nothing. The bathrooms are luxurious, the kitchen is made for a gourmet cook which my daughter is and she loved it!!! The Pearl is the kind of place you don't want to leave to go on adventures. But the adventures in the area are spectacular as well....Su-Meg Park and Redwood National Park, Houda Point at low tide, Home Place beach all spectacular and at the same time homey. We will never forget our stay at The Pearl.

The house is beautiful. The kitchen is amazing. My daughter is an avid cook and just loved cooking in that kitchen. Everything was top grade. The house is spacious and open but yet allows private spaces. We had great pickle ball matches. The court has to be in one of the most amazing settings in the world! This property is the kind of rental that you feel comfortable just staying at all day rather then going off on adventures. But we went off on many adventures close by. We had a very very wonderful time.

Just as advertised. The house was beautiful and there was plenty of room for the 7 adults staying, cooking, eating, we even had a dance party in the living room! The views are spectacular and close to everything! Eat at Larupin and don’t miss the Tall Trees Trail (online reservation required).

Our experience living among the redwoods at the coastline was one we shall never forget…because we are planning to return already! Family, friends, those you wish to make unforgettable memories with are sure to agree that this home is the place to make them come to life. Don’t forget to bring your cameras because the sunsets will inspire anyone to become a photographer. Whether you are looking for an activity-filled or a quiet retreat getaway, this is the place to find it all!

Perfect cottage on the ocean. We could hear the seals barking and the sound of the waves was so relaxing. We were really hoping for some amazing sunsets, unfortunately the fog likes to roll in just before sunset! Enjoyed playing pickleball and enjoying the fire pit. Highly recommend this home!

The pictures and description on the website accurately reflect the property, we were not disappointed. It was perfect to end each day enjoying the wonderful views while listening to the sea lions. Really impeccable. A solid, well-appointed and spacious house with everything needed, and nothing not needed. The property is magical, mythic in it's outlook. I could wax longer very easily, but will keep it short to underscore it's magnificence.

This place is truly amazing. I stood on the deck the morning we left to commit it to memory as best as I could because it is not something I ever want to forget. We were visited by seagulls, hawks, a couple bald eagles and a deer during our stay. Bring your camping skills if you're planning to use the fire pit. The humidity from being so close to the ocean makes it a bit more difficult than you'd think to get it started.

We loved our stay at Trinidad Pearl!! The views from the house and yard were breathtaking! Beautiful sunsets in the evening. I have never seen a more well stocked kitchen in a vacation rental. It had everything we could possibly need! The host was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed pickleball and the yard games! It was a great location to stay and be near the Redwood National and state parks. We would love to come back again!
