Beautiful home, best floor plan, good location, and the TideLife folks were so helpful! Only question we had was as to alternate beach access, but we had the best time back at Deb! Thank you!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was clean and maintained, the bedding was comfortable and the property management was very quick to respond to any issues that we had. Unfortunately, we had quite a few. There seems to be a lot of deferred maintenance issues such as rusted door hinges and running toilets. We could have lived with these issues but our two main complaints were 1) the owner kept the AC Nest control pad locked and we were forced to call the rental agency every time we needed the air adjusted. It was 76 degrees in the house when we arrived and never got to a very comfortable level throughout the week. Often times, we needed to adjust the temperature during the night when the rental agency was closed. This was incredibly frustrating and uncomfortable.2)The house is located in a neighborhood that has it's own private beach access by golf cart and we purposefully booked this house for that reason. New this year, there is a code required for this access and the owners chose not to share the code with us. Please be advised that this house does not allow the access to the beach that every other owner in the neighborhood has (and allows their renters to do). It was unfortunate, as it made the trip to the beach more laborious than what we had anticipated. Had we known, we would never have booked in this location.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, our Eliza Clare stay was good, although there were some bumps. The home seemingly changed ownership since we booked the property last year, & with that came changes in the amenities that were once advertised with the property, including use of a golf cart, & club membership level. We wished these differences had been communicated to us in advance, as it might have changed the home we chose to rent. Tide Life was accommodating in providing a golf cart for us which we appreciated, even though there was lots of confusion getting it delivered. The home was nicely decorated & clean on the inside. Outdoor patios, stairwell, & garage were quite dirty & covered with leaves & debris when we arrived. We swept what we could but feel the home's exterior areas need a good scrubbing & better management between renters.The overall DeBordieu rental experience has changed dramatically since we last rented, so many new fees & restrictions! There was a lot of confusion among DeB staff about new policies, & we spent much of our vacation clarifying fees/registrations that we had already set up & paid in advance. If this new approach is to keep renters out, it is definitely having an impact. We understand the obligation renters have to respect property & to help pay for use of amenities, but the way DeB is handling it makes renters feel like 2nd class citizens. DeBordieu needs to make sure their staff has a complete understanding of new rules & that they are fully trained to more professionally handle renters who are trying to do the right thing & have paid a lot of money for vacation. Despite all of these annoyances, we continue to love the area & the time spent building more family beach memories.
