Montreat, a family-friendly village that’s home to a 4-year college and Presbyterial retreat center, is packed with healthy, wholesome recreational options. Once you’ve worked up an appetite you can cook in our kitchen or skip the cooking and dine at Montreat’s Assembly Inn or any of the many restaurants in nearby Black Mountain.

“The regeneration of the individual is much more needed than the revolution of society.” Innovator, thought-leader and internationally recognized man of faith, Billy Graham, who wrote these words, lived and worked just a 5-minute walk from this mountain home.
Visited the are for New Years with a group of 12 (6 adults & 6 kids). The house is as it appears in the pictures and descriptions. No frills but perfect for our group. It had all the necessary accessories and space for us to all spread out or be together. We had a couple of hiccups but the owner always responded within 5 minutes and even checked in to make sure all was well. He was one of the best I've worked with. Black Mountain was awesome and we were a short ride into Asheville. Would definitely stay here again.
Our group stayed here for the Montreat Youth Conference. Had a wonderful time. Provided us with everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!
Perfect accommodations for our group of 7 high school youth and two adults! Everything from the bedrooms, to meals around the table, to the meeting space in the living area, etc., worked well for our stay. We definitely will consider booking again!
The rental of this property was east and done online. We found the home full of character & charm. Only a few minutes from downtown Black Mountain. Host provided games and puzzles which the children enjoyed. The host was quick to respond to any questions or requests I had. Overall a very pleasant experience.
Host was very responsive and catered to our needs. The house was clean and welcoming. Only draw back was there are not 6 bathrooms, only 3 so with 12 people it was a lot of strategic planning on getting showered and ready before and after the games. Overall a great property, would stay again!
Lots of space and rooming options await at this charming (and updated) Montreat cottage.
This is an amazing rental for a large group. Thanks for everything! I especially appreciated how easy it was to work with our host. Highly recommend!
Great house, great location.
Cute house tucked away In the hills. Very well stocked with games and all the kitchen goodies . Owners are very friendly and quick to respond
The listing states that the property was 0.2 miles from Montreat’s Anderson Auditorium and then we were told it was 0.9 miles. The listing also says three full baths and three half baths. There were no half baths. Other than a funky layout and very cold basement when the first floor was comfortable, we found the accommodations adequate and the kitchen was well appointed.
