Elegant Downtown 'Sunshine Cottage'

Our stay was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The property was exactly as described—if anything, it exceeded expectations. The location couldn’t have been better, making it easy to enjoy the area has to offer.The amenities are outstanding and thoughtfully provided, with every detail considered to ensure a comfortable and seamless stay. Overall, this was a top notch experience, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend this place to others. A perfect getaway in every sense!

You will feel welcome and comfortable in this beautiful home away from home.The house is lovely and clean. The location is perfect, especially if you enjoy walking to town. The host's special touches are obvious everywhere you look. The backyard is the perfect place to sip your morning coffee and/or enjoy a cozy evening fire. We are so happy we chose the Sunshine Cottage and I am sure you will be too.

We had trouble accessing the property. We finally connected with the host and were able to get in. Once she knew we were having trouble, she was very responsive. Other than that the house was super cute and very nice inside. I would stay here again!

The furnace is not functioning properly. The house was cold on each of the first two mornings, no matter how we tried to adjust and turn on/ off the unit. It did seem to come on later in the day, and then also on the third morning. But even then it was clear that something was not quite right with the furnace. Everything else was OK, but the furnace situation was a big detraction.

Such a cute and well-appointed home! We absolutely enjoined our stay and appreciate the thoughtfulness behind how the host has stocked and organized this house.

We loved this cottage. It truly felt like home. It had everything we needed, and more. Very clean, very comfortable, wonderful bed, and, fun, cute furnishings. I would definitely recommend this cottage. I hope to return one day.

Stop looking around ! This property has a five star rating for good reason. If it is in your price range and in the area you are looking for you won't find anything better. This is the best VRBO property we have stayed at in the 10 years we have been booking with them. Great host. Prompt response. Great area nice and quiet. Very well supplied. You can tell this property is well maintained, updated, and cared for. Had everything we needed and more. Nice big fenced backyard to enjoy. Stayed for 7 nights here. This was such a lovely cottage! Every detail was thought of! Loved being able to spend time in the backyard and enjoy the fire pit at night! Walkable to so many restaurants! Can’t wait to return next summer!

The cottage is adorable. We spent a lot of time in the morning and evening out back. It was so peaceful and I had to take pictures of the gardens for ideas in my space at home. Highly recommend this cottage.

Loved this charming home! Would highly recommend. The location is great, 4 short blocks to the historic downtown. The owner was very responsive. House was very clean and the owner has included several thoughtful touches throughout. Also has a great outdoor space where we had a few cornhole matches. Would definitely stay here again.

A fantastically clean with many thoughtful touches. It was in a very convenient location. A lovely space that included a generous back garden that includes seating, atmospheric lighting and a cornhole set. Inside there is an assortment of books, games, and candy, and kitchen utensils. Overall, we wished we could stay more than two nights.

This was a 2 couples trip where we were making a stop I Grand Junction to go to the national park and surrounding areas. We truly enjoyed our stay! The place had what we needed and the updates to the house really makes it a comfortable place. We loved how close it was to downtown. We also found it easy to venture to the surrounding areas. Our host was great to respond and made us feel welcomed. Finally, in the evenings we enjoyed sitting out back and visiting. For us everything was spot on and we would stay here again.

A lovely, well decorated house in a great location. We only stayed 3 nights and I wish we had stayed longer. The quality of everything in the house was above expected. Although we were only 2 people, it would also be good for 2 couples as the master has an ensuite BR and the other bedroom and bathroom are completely separate. It is in an area of older homes but is very modern on the inside.

This is an awesome place and one that we definitely have on our radar for a future visit. Clean, well appointed, nice kitchen and cute dining area. Loved the sitting area in the back yard - nicely landscaped and decorated. Great location with easy access to town and Colorado National Monument. All in all, a very nice stay. The ONLY reason for the communication ding was that I would have liked to have a phone number where I could have reached out directly. If we would have had a problem with access to the house, we would have had no way to get in touch with the owner short of finding a cafe with internet access where we could have used a laptop for VRBO access. Other than that very small item, the place was perfect!

Sunshine Cottage was just perfect for our two couples, as a getaway for our visit to Grand Junction and Colorado National Monument! The house has great decorating touches and is well stocked and nicely furnished, with an easy -to -use kitchen and a great backyard area with a pergola and fire pit. We used both on the evenings we spent there, as we sipped our wine (Jana leaves some for guests) after enjoying fabulous hikes through the area. Jana was a wonderfully communicative and responsive hostess, too. I highly recommend Sunshine Cottage for your next vacation in the area!

We had a great stay - The home was clean and the little extras made the stay comfortable as well as feel like home! We would book again if ever back in the area!

We visited Grand Junction to snowboard nearby. We were immediately impressed by the property. It’s very clean and well laid out. We enjoyed a quick walk to downtown every evening, the location is great. We would definitely stay again, Jana was a great host.

This place was incredible! From the perfect location to downtown and the university. It was so clean and beautifully decorated through out! The kitchen was perfect to do some home cooking for our college student, and we even did s’mores in the fire pit in the back yard! Beds were cozy and comfortable! The owners were so sweet and always we always got quick responses! This is a gem of house to stay at in Grand Junction!

Charming, spacious, clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, kitchen fully equipped with everything you need, comfy beds and a great backyard to have your wine and enjoy the scenery. I would stay here again!

Our stay here was fabulous! The house was so quaint, cozy and had everything we needed. It was very close to downtown and accessibility to everything. We didn’t need to contact Jana because everything was provided before arrival and we had no issues. The neighbor was also very kind and friendly. We will definitely look to stay here again if we venture back to this area!!

This rental had everything we needed and more. The place was clean, beds were very comfortable and the backyard was so nice with a pergola and a fire pit, that we used one night. The rental is located in a nice neighborhood and centrally located to town. We highly recommend this rental.

What a neat house! The 2 rooms amd 2 bathrooms offered enough space for me and my husband and our mom who traveled with us. It was nice and cool inside the house, comfortable with really nice beds and towels. There were plenty of dishes for our crew of 3 making breakfast. This is a comfortable home base!
