Elegant beachfront escape with private boardwalk, free WiFi, & furnished balcony

Yes it was very welcoming and ready for us when we arrived. It was everything that we expected and had a memorable time as a family. Only issue was with the elevator but the repairman showed us what to do when it quit on us. Just needs some usual maintenance upkeep.

Booked this for our families while in town for a funeral. The house wasn't cleaned before we arrived and we had to wait an additional 3 hours for it to be cleaned & laundered (after driving for 11.5 hours). They didn't have enough sheets for all the beds and despite saying they'd come back with the correct sheets; no one returned so we slept on blankets. None of the bikes were useable; tires were dry-rotted and unable to take air, chains were off and the rims and fenders were too bent to be ridden. The garbage disposal was broken and maintenance had to be called to repair it. Sheets were finally delivered the afternoon of the second day. The beverage fridge from the kitchen was not installed and was sitting in the garage. Paint is peeling in multiple indoor and outdoor locations & fixtures rusted (mostly wall corners, window sills and railings). Although relieved that the roaches were just water bugs, pest control could surely help. The text/phone help had very delayed responses, sometimes not until the next day although all staff was friendly, not apologetic enough to compensate for the shortcomings.Positives: elevator, location & beach access, starter kitHopefully the new mgmt co can get the kinks worked out and the maintenance improved. We will look elsewhere next time.

Comfortable beds, beach front, and good communication. We wish the thermostat would go lower than 70, but we were there in October, so it wasn't too bad. We enjoyed our stay.

Heron’s Hideaway is a beautiful home. Vacasa rental agency is horrible to work with. I started calling and texting to the help/repair line at 5pm and did not get a call back until 2pm the next day. Then once they did send people to fix the issues, there was ZERO follow up to see how things were going. Poor customer service. The elevator in the home is not reliable, if you have guests who HAVE to have it, this is not the home for you. Our elderly guests had to go home and missed our family vacation in fear of getting stuck in the elevator. Other than having to deal with Vacasa (or lack there of is better way of saying it), this is a wonderful home. Comfortable beds, and beautifully decorated.

Heron’s Hideaway was the perfect place for my family for spring break.

7 of us stayed in this home for a long weekend. It has a beautiful view and was so comfortable for all of us. We would definitely return!

Great location, common space, and would be ideal for large groups! We enjoyed the easy beach access and the beautiful views. The kitchen is lovely. If you absolutely need an elevator for your stay - this one seems to have a history of not always operating. Check in was challenging, but we made it in with a garage code.

Herons Hideaway is lovely. The views and location are fantastic. It was furnished comfortably and decorated nicely. The decks were all three a good size with really nice Polywood chairs! It was clean and they had “starter packs” of soap, paper towels, dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent. One of the things they didn’t REQUIRE, as many do, is to empty the trash, start the dishwasher, and start a load of laundry. (We did, but it was nice not to HAVE to). The beds were comfortable; the towels and sheets that were supplied were nice and clean. Overall, would recommend. We had three Octogenarians with us, so the elevator was a must.
