Elegant, Affordable, Private, Waterfront Home, just 4 miles north of town

By far, this property made our stay in Ketchikan. Nicole and Jim are the best hosts one could hope for. The property itself is in a gorgeous setting on the water. We loved our bunkhouse, and the outdoor kitchen made for one of my most treasured memories as my husband and grandson fished that day and grilled my dinner. My grandson set a beautiful table on the picnic table overlooking the water and we had a three hour gorgeous sunset to enjoy. We all loved spending time there and the hot tub was just perfect after a rainy, cold adventure. It was so nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of town yet close enough to get to it. Nicole helped us arrange an affordable car with a local vendor and was dedicated to making sure we had a great time with some local knowledge. Can’t say enough good things about this property. If you have a chance to stay there, do it!

This vacation rental is in a great location just far enough outside the bustle of Ketchikan to offer peace & quiet but not so far as to be inconvenient. Positives: The lodging is well appointed & our hosts left snacks, candy, coffee, seasonings, sodas and even few beers for us to enjoy. The property is located on the water & offers peekaboo views. Plenty of blankets and the heating is good. Shower is spacious. Beds are comfortable. Nice sheets & plenty of pillows. Direct TV was nice. Parking was plentiful. Bathing suits were provided if you forget yours. Negaives: there is one bathroom and the layout of the rental is such that others must pass thru the primary bedroom to get to the toilet. The water pump makes a noise after every flush & water dispenser is near the head of the primary bed & makes a periodic churning noise. The living room is absent window coverings & made for one embarrassing moment w/another guest. We had an unfortunate misunderstanding with the host: the VRBO listing said breakfast was included and since our ferry got in late, we didn’t stop to pick up groceries for breakfast thinking breakfast was included. When we mentioned this to the host, she was quite defensive and told us we were wrong & suggested we leave. We were not that put out by lack of breakfast but were merely informing her as a courtesy. She finally believed us once we showed her the screenshot of the listing where it said breakfast was included. She did not apologize, however. MAGA host.

The owner was amazing. If we didn’t know anything about Ketchican , we do now. Property was a piece of art work .
