El Pino is Spanish for The Pine, chosen for the property's towering pine trees and that locals commonly refer the town as the pine. The home's rustic décor features a Mexican/Southwestern theme with a focus on casual comfort, inside and out. El Pino is located in a family-friendly residential neighborhood on a quiet street at the base of Alpine's famous A mountain, a 10-minute walk to downtown Alpine.
Sleep soundly on high-quality mattresses in generous sized rooms. 300 mb/s broadband WiFi and a large smart TV provided. Well stocked kitchen and pantry. Central cooling & heating provided a high quality HVAC system. Outside are shaded seating areas, covered 4-person hot tub, wood-burning fireplace & a Weber propane BBQ grill. Enjoy skyline views, sunsets and wildlife (deer, javelina, fox, etc.) from the front and back porches and at night gather around an outdoor fireplace for storytelling and stargazing. Powered by 100% renewable energy.

IMPORTANT: El Pino is located in a quiet neighborhood of retirees so it is NOT a party house. Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 10 PM to 9 AM. Noncompliance will result in removal from the property. Please book elsewhere if this is a concern.

Everything about El Pino is perfection. Location in a neighborhood up against the hill offering perfect sunrise and sunset views. Everything as described and more. 3 great bedrooms, two bathrooms with Everything needed (and more), great kitchen with a view. The front porch had rocking chairs and a swing. The back porch had chairs and a sunset view. Also available was a picnic table, bbq and chiminea and firewood. We could go on and on. El Pino is perfection.

Home was clean, organized and comfortable. We loved the front porch! AC worked great! Beds were comfortable. Nice carport in the rear. Thanks for the coffee! We enjoyed the 3 mule deer hanging out in the yard! Location was good and neighborhood was quiet. A little bit surprised by some of the unkept homes we drove by down the street. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, easy check-in, very impressive decor, all amenities working, neighborhood nice and no noise!! It was all as described and really even better!! Hosts provided detailed information and contact.I have to say...the hosts, in my opinion have a very desirable Vrbo. You can tell that they want to be able to keep it very well maintained not only by them, but by the guests!! I give them five(5) STARS!!!We enjoyed our purposeful trip to Alpine and I hope to be able to book with El Pino again!

The house is decorated to perfection with a Mexican/Desert theme all throughout. Along with the perfect decor, is the perfect cleanliness. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils for cooking, eating, and plates and pots and pans for all your meals. The bedding and sheets were excellent quality. We appreciated the creamer, coffee pods, and condiments that were found in the fridge and pantry, along with other non perishable foods. The kids enjoyed playing the games found in the entertainment center. My husband and I enjoyed sipping coffee in the mornings on the porch or back patio. It was so peaceful all day long. The only reason I’m not giving this property a 10/10 is because the furniture was very uncomfortable. It rained during our stay and we wanted to stay in and watch a movie, but the couch and chairs do not allow for prolonged sitting and watching. The kitchen table is the same. Also, this may be my own personal preference, but the king size bed was too firm for my liking. My hips and back are still a bit sore since I’m a side sleeper. Other than that, we loved the house. It was the perfect fit for our family and our little Big Bend adventure!

My family and I were in Alpine for a long weekend. My daughter was graduating college and we came to watch. The house was a perfect location. Saw lots of deer behind the house. The fire pit in the back was so nice in the evenings. We loved the decor of the house. Very Alpine-ish. They even had a Christmas tree put up. Everything was so clean and organized. Would definitely recommend their place to anyone wanted to spend time in Alpine. The host was super nice and very responsive. Thank you again.

There are no surprises with this property. The pictures and description are on target, and the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. We stayed 3 nights while exploring Ft Davis, Marfa, Terlingua and the Chisos Mountains, and I would stay at this property again if I ever return. .
