Pros:Beautiful home with a great layout, stunning views, and plenty of space for a large family.Cons:The home is at the top of a mountain with very narrow, winding roads. Driving up requires skill; not recommended for large SUVs.The lockbox was broken, and we had to force it open at midnight in freezing weather with young children. We were later told the lockbox has been broken for almost a year.Management was unresponsive. We reported a broken dryer for four days with no action and were told it has also been broken for nearly a year.Cleanliness was lacking, with cobwebs, dust, and even a large spider found in the bathtub.Summary:Nice house, but poor management and unresolved long-term issues significantly impacted our stay.

Please do not follow GPS, as it will direct you to the most challenging road in Big Canoe. Too many turns and steep incline will stress anyone driving to Eagles View in a hightop van. When you check-in at the guard gate, please ask them the best route to take.

The view was breathtaking. However, the house is in dire need of maintenance and TLC. The double ovens in the kitchen don’t work. The furniture is aging and becoming threadbare (the wooden chairs on the deck are not useable unless a covering is placed over them). One of the balusters on the back deck is broken with a plastic bag tied to mark it. The sheets in the master bedroom had holes. The washer knob was broken so it could not be reset. The ice maker did not work due to all the frost in the freezer. The switch plate downstairs on for the overhead lights becomes dangerously overheated. The thermostat upstairs is difficult to set and is not true to the temperature it displays. The final morning of our stay there was no hot water for showers. For such a beautiful home it’s sad to see it so neglected.

I traveled with a group of moms for a weekend getaway. The property is stunning. The view is by far the best I’ve ever stayed at in GA. The layout of the bedrooms was perfect and the fact that each bedroom had their own bathroom was very accommodating. The kitchen was spacious and had all appliances needed. We did get notified 2 days prior to arrival the the oven was out of order so that was not ideal but we made it work! A few things that could have been better was if the double French doors locked and stayed in place….. the front door only locks if you hold handle up and that came after 20 minutes of trying to figure it out and a phone call at 11pm to the agency. Small inconveniences that can easily be fixed if someone put in the time. Overall great property and I would stay again if the nuisances got fixed.

The property was phenomenal. Wonderful location with amazing views. No complaints at all. This is the 4th home we have stayed in on Big Canoe and was our favorite by far.

We loved this house! The view was amazing. You can see Atlanta on a clear day. The downstairs area with pool table and family room was very nice and cozy. Kitchen had everything you would need. It is high up mountain which doesn't bother us but roads are steep. We love Big Canoe and saw so many deer!
