Aztec, New Mexico
Quiet home with spectacular views. Only 30 mins to downtown Durango, CO and 10 mins to Aztec. Perfect place to explore the best the four corners region has to offer. Explore Mesa Verde and the Aztec Ruins. Navajo Dam is a short drive away, as is fishing in the famous San Juan River. Relax in the hot tub after a day skiing Purgatory or hiking/biking in the high desert landscape. Bring the family and friends for a relaxing get away and see why they call New Mexico the Land of Enchantment.
Just perfect, 3 bedroom, 2 bath single story home. Warm and inviting main living room/parlor with pellet stove. The house also has a great room with a pool table and plenty of room to relax. Three spacious bedrooms which can comfortably sleep up to 8 people. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening drink in the gazebo which is just a few steps away from the back deck and enjoy the amazing views. Relax in the hot tub or take a stroll around the 3 acres and experience the beauty of the high desert.
The place was very spacious and comfortable, and the extra room by the garage was a bit for my 7 year old son to play in. The property was beautiful as well as we were continually greeted by a mom and baby deer, they kept coming around. Joseph was very responsive and took care of our needs. I highly recommend staying here.
This was a great place for just the two of us to stay. the house can easaly accommodate more. Everything was clean. Including the hot tub.
Great place to stay! Very clean. Beautiful views I stayed here with some friends but it is also kid friendly!
Typically I am bit let down by the actual property after committing to its online profile, but this spot exceeded expectations--view, amenities, host, comfort, you name it. Thank you!
Our family enjoyed our stay at this vrbo very much. It was clean and very accommodating. The game room and hot tub were big draws for all of us. But more than those things the views we were able to see from the back deck and gazebo were amazing. Such a great place to relax.
Our family needed a place to stay for the local high school graduation. This was perfect for us all to fit and great location to all the things we had to do and places we had to go.
The pool table and hot tub were a plus. The place was clean and comfortable. We had trouble with the electrical outlets in the bathrooms and kitchen sink had trouble draining when we ran the dishwasher. We got a response back quickly with our concerns. The view was great and it was private. Appreciated the gated driveway.
My friends and I really enjoyed staying here. During the day, we drove over to and fished the San Juan River. In the evenings, we hung out playing pool and relaxing in the hot tub. The house worked out perfectly. It is also a short drive up to Durango, which we visited one afternoon. We would highly recommend if planning to stay in this area.
Grandfather, son, grandson and son-in-law stayed at this nice property. This residence was perfect for our stay and right next to our hunting zone. Everything was as described in the listing except the views were better. A very comfortable and well equipped home with a great hot tub. Mr. Cleveland kept us informed, there were no surprises. My grandson got his first buck. Steve Knief
This property felt like home, and it was so roomy! Kids didn't get into each other's way, plus 2 bathrooms were a huge bonus. We spent every evening playing pool (and we don't even play pool) it was full of great laughs and the house is very well stocked! The property owner was super easy to get ahold, and sooo very kind (even though it was 100% our fault) even late at night. Love this place and if we ever head back that direction, we'd definitely stay there again!
Everything was so perfect. The location, cleanliness, space. Everything!
This is our second stay here. The house was clean and well stocked. The location is excellent for Navajo Lake and Durango activities. Communication with the owner was excellent. We enjoyed the views from the deck in the evening too. Great stay!
What a great place! It had everything we needed. My husband was in love with the recliners, me, my niece and her kids were in love with hot tub. The views from the back deck and the gazebo were incredible! And the neighbors across the valley were kind enough to set off fireworks on both the 3rd and the 4th! We went to the Aztec Ruins in town. Fun! And we drove up to Durango to do the train trip. Awsome! What a great place!
Very nice property, clean and comfortable. Interesting neighborhood, close to many attractions. But... the hot tub was not working, and the tv in the main room did not work. When we spoke to the owner he just said sorry.
The house was super clean and communication with owner was good. The house and property were perfect for our party of 7. We enjoyed the views from the multiple seating areas outside on the property. The pool table and games kept us all entertained. We came to area to visit Mesa Verda but it was unfortunately closed for road construction, however we were able to keep ourselves busy visiting ruins in Aztec, rafting in Durango, hiking to Potato Lake and visiting Ouray. Overall a great trip and was extremely pleased with the house and the area!
Older home but very clean and nice. Immediately overwhelmed by the smell of air fresheners and was afraid the house was stinky….but once we unplugged them all and aired the place out it wasn’t bad at all. Reached out to the owner for new towels and linens because they were quite old. He said they would be replaced immediately so hopefully that was done. Also reached out because we couldn’t access the TV in the Living Room. He sent a google search result which I could have done myself and it wasn’t helpful anyway. Luckily my Husband is a savvy fellow and he figured it out. The hot tub and the views…AMAZING!
This is a great property overall. Clean, well appointed, horseshoes, outdoor fire pit when drought not a factor, hot tub, rec room with pool table. All that is fabulous. But I deduct 2 stars for one reason only. In every other room there were plug in air scent devices. The smell was just overwhelming. We removed them (replaced upon leaving) but the smell persisted in spite of isolation in one room with door closed and window wide open with a strong wind outside. We were to drive into Aztec for dinner with friends and had only been in the house several hours. But as we drove, we realized the oil based scent devices had permeated our clothes so we rode with all vehicle windows fully down to try and get the smell out of our clothes. If the owner really thinks this heavy scent is needed, I would suggest placing one single device in a central room and leaving it at that. personally, I would just forget trying to scent the house. It really detracted from the experience of an otherwise great place.
