Welcome to the Wolf’s Den on Foster Farms. Why stay in a typical hotel room when you can have comfortable little “Den” 2 walking minutes from a rivers edge Located in Aztec NM just minutes from Aztec Ruins. Amazing quality waters for fishing or kayaking on the Animas River 900 ft away. Quiet farm setting centrally located to many tourist attractions and National Monuments in Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado. Navajo Lake; 21 miles, Durango; 35 miles, Chaco Canyon 73 miles, Mesa Verde National Monument; 37 miles, The Bisti Badlands; 38 miles, Purgatory Ski Resort; 55 miles.
Wolf’s Den is one bedroom with a queen bed and a twin size trundle bed so it’s perfect for a couple, anniversaries, honeymoons, or a small family.
Available amenities upon request are inflatable kayaks that can be utilized on the river, nearby Farmington Lake, Ironhorse Lake in Durango, or Navajo Lake.
Wolf’s Den is located on a working farm where we have sheep, horses, mules, donkeys, and chickens. River front access is perfect for any fishing, or spending the day lounging or swimming in our favorite river “watering hole”.
Staying in any RV is different than staying in a home, hotel, condo, or cabin so please check the amenities, accommodations, and additional information first before booking to see if an RV or “Glamping” is a good fit for you.
Note: RVs don’t use regular toilet paper and require extra water on flushes. Hot water tanks are small but a 15 min shower is doable. Refrigerators are small but can hold enough for a family of four for a weekend. Propanes is used for cooking and baking but there is a microwave.
We stayed here while on a fishing trip to the San Juan. It’s super cozy, well stocked, & the coffee/tea set up was such a bonus! Great communication with the host.
