Beautiful place. Clean and comfortable

It was a pleasure staying at the Driftwood Cottage. Everything was designed and ready for us, clean, modern and beautiful environment. The cottage includes everything you can think about- from any size of towel and basic groceries for cooking to a great living room area. The location is amazing, quiet and a combines a great experience of nature and local environment. Thank you so much for having us.

Would recommend a mirror in the bedroom. Lovely cottage in a quiet area. Well equipped in the kitchen. Owners provided amenities and linen. We enjoyed our stay here.

Kitchen and laundry setup were so easy!

Very quiet and comfortable - nice place to unwind after a busy day at Acadia! Only issue was that it was very dark (no outdoor light) when we checked in and the stairs to walk up to front door had no railing (which was a little tricky for my wife and her bad knee).

By far the best VRBO I have experienced. Amenities are above and beyond what one would expect. For our girls trip we looked for a unique place that would allow us to experience the island. We found the ideal peaceful place with plenty of room for our stay. The owners thought of everything you just might happen to need to make your stay the best it can be.

It was a wonderful property for us and our twodogs. Yard is very pet friendly, and house is extremely comfortable and well equipped. Very quiet neighborhood but close to all activities. We loved it!

Perfect spot to experience Arcadia NP and surrounding area. House is located down a very quiet road so very peaceful with great deck to chill out. Kitchen is very well appointed. Hosts perfect communicators.

We had an excellent stay at Driftwood Cottage. It was very clean and comfortable and had all of the things we needed. It is located on a quiet road and we really enjoyed coming back to the peace of the cottage every day after being with the throngs of other visitors to Acadia. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This was the perfect, private home for our weekend getaway to Southwest Harbor! The front yard is huge and our kids loved the swing set out front. The fire pit was so nice to hang around too. The home is within walking distance to the Bass Harbor Lighthouse and a quick 5-10 minute drive into town. There’s so much to do and see in the area, I just wish we had more time to spend there!

We had such a nice week at the cottage! Loved the location on the quiet side of the island, especially being able to walk down to the Bass Harbor Lighthouse to watch the sun set. Our boys loved playing in the huge yard. And the cottage was clean & gave us plenty of space to hang out between our outings exploring Acadia.

House was perfect. Quiet area with walking distance of lighthouse. Beds and house were comfy and clean. Living room was bright and deck was perfect for morning coffee. Would stay again

This property exceeded my expectations. It was clean and spacious and the hosts provide so many thoughtful amenities, from a dog crate to art supplies for the kids. I can't say enough about how great this place is. The location is quiet but easy to get to and the home is decorated nicely and immaculately clean. What a find!

Wonderful stay in a quiet area

We loved our stay at the cottage! The home is very clean and well-stocked. The kids loved the yard and firepit, and we loved doing the three local trails. After being tired and dirty from hiking, it was great to wash up, do laundry, and enjoy the strong wifi and big tv. We appreciated the guest book and its recommendations as well.

This was probably one of the best stocked vocational rentals we have ever stayed in. Everything you need is provided. The place was so clean and was the perfect size for a family of 4 with two teenage boys. The location was amazing. It is just a half mile walk from the house to the bass harbor lighthouse and 25 minutes from the Acadia visitors center and the start of the park loop road.

This was a fabulous property. It was very comfortable, clean and with everything you could possibly need. The setting was beautiful and peaceful and well located for Acadia, beaches and hikes. It was nice also to just relax there. I can’t recommend this property enough. Thank you to the hosts who thought of everything!

My friends and I recently stayed here for a friends trip. The house was even better in person, very clean, extremely well stocked, and in a great location. Walking distance to the Bass Harbor lighthouse. Highly reccomend staying here for your next vacation!!!! One of the best rentals I have ever stayed at.

We returned to driftwood cottage after falling in love with the property two years ago, and this time we had one more child and one more dog than our last visit! Once again, this incredible property did not disappoint. Our kids loved the bunk beds, the swing set, and the children’s books, and my wife and I appreciated the laundry machines, the spacious deck, and the quiet setting. Our hosts were, as always, prompt and helpful when we needed assistance. They even shared some clutch suggestions for entertaining our family on a rainy day. We can’t wait to come back!

Property was amazing, great place to relax after exploring the area. Perfect for families with young kids. We would definitely stay again.

So much more than I expected. This is a beautiful private quiet lot with deer visiting (or I guess we were the visitors). The lighthouse is a 10 minute walk to the cliffs with breathtaking views and the faint sounds of the bells in the background. We sat outside very early in the morning with coffee and I haven’t seen so many stars since I was a child. The house is immaculate and well appointed with everything necessary for your stay. We loved our stay!

Highly recommend! We loved staying at Driftwood Cottage. So many extras included in this VRBO. Communicating with the owners was easy and quick. No complaints. We hope to definitely stay again! Thank you!

We were very pleased with our stay. My husband and I and two Shelties had more than enough room to spread out in this lovely home. Everything was pristine and top notch. Conveniently located for hiking in Seawall area and very close to Bass Harbor Light. We loved the food nearby at Charlotte’s Lobster pound near Seawall. We hope to come back with more family members next time. We can imagine this house would perfect for a visit with.grandchildren.

We were lucky enough to spend 5 wonderful nights here as part of an east coast road trip from Wisconsin. As someone who travels often with our dogs, we rely heavily on rental platforms like this. We also host. When I say this property was one of my favorites out of hundreds, take that to heart. It was so clean, organized, stocked and comfortable. They thought of every detail - down to a very exciting box of dog toys mine loved. Comfy towels, bedding, blankets etc. This house has everything you need. Wonderful, quiet yard. Safe for pups and kids- little traffic as its a dead end gravel road. Quick walk to the lighthouse and easy drives to Acadia, Bar Harbour, Schoodic. Host was helpful, kind and didn't leave a laundry list of instructions which was refreshing. It was simply comfortable. Thank you!!

The Driftwood Cottage was stocked well with almost everything that you would need for a comfortable getaway. We just stayed for one night, and enjoyed the quiet side of Acadia! The description for the property could use some updating though. It said that you could take a short trail through the woods to the Bass Harbor lighthouse. This is no longer allowed through the national park property across the street from the cottage.

We were thrilled with our stay here! Everything was perfect! There were even deer in the front yard in the morning. Fantastic place to spend your time.

This house is perfectly located near some beautiful hikes in Acadia! The hosts were SUPER responsive and we felt right at home. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook some delicious meals. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

We had the best time exploring Acadia and being able to stay at this amazing home! It literally had everything you could possibly need. It was so clean, comfortable and peaceful. Being greeted every morning by the cute little deer was an extra bonus. It was great being walking distance to the Bass Harbor Lighthouse and a 4 minute drive to the Wonderland Trail. And close enough to end most evenings in Southwest Harbor. Looking forward to returning in the future!
