Downtown Leavenworth 'Bergen Haus'

What a charming house in a charming neighborhood! We had a decent sized group and it felt like there was plenty of space and great communal areas. The furniture was comfy, the neighbors were lovely (they cleared snow from our front walk for us), and we were able to walk everywhere. Things to know: it’s an old house and comes with some normal old house things (not much noise insulation, creaky floors that aren’t perfectly level, worn interior door latches that don’t always catch the first time, a front door that takes a little effort). But the aging parts are cosmetic and even charming - the appliances and kitchen are modern and I have never met an easier checkout!

What a charming place! Spacious, comfortable, and super close to all the Leavenworth attractions - we would stay here again for sure!

Very nice property for a large family with plenty of space. Old world charm and easy access to walking to town, river and shopping. Close to main roads and outdoor activities. Bike rental next door and grocery store across street.

The house was fantastic! The Acs in the rooms worked great, there was plenty of room for everyone and the location and parking was perfect!

We have stayed in the house every year for a girls trip and this year was a little rough. The heat would not work. Saturday we got 2 heaters to use which helped. The bathroom downstairs didnt look like it was cleaned. There was pee on the back of the toilet and the tub was clogged so when showering you are wading in water, yuck.

Location was perfect for walking to everything in Leavenworth. Our group of nine who were staying there to ski at Stevens Pass had plenty of room to spread out. Would recommend!

The location was amazing and the house was charming. There was a lot of dust which was challenging for allergies and the electric plugs were very loose which made plugging in electronics hard. The lights were also very dim with many burned out. We enjoyed the house and with some minor improvements it would be perfect.

Large, spacious and comfortable family home in an excellent location. Easy walk to town square, restaurants, waterfront park. Close to other attractions (Reindeer Farm, Snowmobiling, Sleigh Rides, etc.).

Wonderful historic home and the best location for walking to town. Plenty of room for everyone.

This house was clean and comfortable for a large family. It is located right in town and easy walking distance from the shopping area, river, and Reindeer Farm.

The location of the house was perfect for getting into town. The living space was great for our group as there was plenty of space to eat and sit in the living room. The bedrooms were also spacious and were able to accommodate everyone comfortably.

Putting the day garbage is collected on the fridge with rest of notes would be helpful. The bathroom drain downstairs is very slow. Maybe plugged up. It accommodated us very comfortably. We walked to downtown 2 to 3 times a day. Loved it and loved our stay.

This was a mixed experience.The location was great. Right on the front street and a short walk to everything. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms was as listed. Everything was clean.However, the bedrooms were very very small. The beds were not comfortable at all. The floor was so creaky everywhere that it often distributed the folks sleeping downstairs. The freezer section had a bunch of broken shelves so we couldn’t properly freeze our baby’s milk. The bathrooms didn’t have locks on them. The front entrance was unusable for going out because a key wasn’t provided for it. The heater in living room kept turning off in the night, making the living space super cold in the night.For almost 2k, I expected more.

This a great place we all enjoyed it and the old craftsman home. There is one thing to improve. The WiFi is too weak to operate the tv on apps. Too. Many stops and freezes in the middle of prime products I think a WiFi booster should be considered. Still I rate this a 5 star.

The Bergen Haus was great for our family! We loved that it was walkable to downtown and had plenty of bedrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed and was very organized. The family room and dining room had plenty of space and we enjoyed the large dining room table.Keep in mind though it is listed as air conditioned only 2 of the bedrooms had window units and the downstairs windows are painted shut. There were fans in each bedroom but rooms did get warm. It is an old house so know that with that charm comes squeaky floors and doors that don't quite close. Mixed reviews from our group on the comfort of the beds. Overall we recommend and would stay again!!

We had the most amazing time at this rental!!! Our friends absolutely loved the house, the kitchen was great and the spaces inside and outside to play games was perfect for us!! Our only non issue was that the bathrooms don’t have a lock on them, but otherwise it was all perfect!!

The location was perfect, close to everything making it easy to walk wherever we wanted to go. The house was clean and comfortable. The big dining room table was our focal point for meals and games.

We had a lovely time at this charming property, conveniently located, with plenty of space, enjoying meals and playing games together. Questions to the host before our stay were answered quickly. We appreciated that air con units were turned on before our arrival because it happened to be pretty hot in Leavenworth during our stay and only 2 bedrooms have air conditioning. The people who had rooms without air con upstairs unfortunately ended up sleeping on the couch and floor downstairs because it was too hot with only fans. With sharing this information though, we would recommend this property for a trip to Leavenworth.

This house was perfect for my family. Great location for whatever activity we wanted to do. House was clean and ready for us. We made some great memories during our stay.

We had an amazing amazing time! This house was so beautiful and comfortable. The location could not be beat. The hosts were more than accommodating and extremely responsive. I could not have asked for anything more! It was above and beyond expectations!

Great place for our family to stay as we gathered to celebrate the marriage of our son. Loved the location. Bedrooms were comfortable. Gathering areas were roomy, warm and comfortable.

Things we liked about the property. The house was beautiful, clean and very close to town. We could easily walk back and forth. The backyard was quaint and cozy. There were enough rooms for everyone to have their own bedroom. What we didn't like. We live in an old farmhouse and understand there would not be central air. We however thought we would be able to open windows to cool the house down. We could not open any windows because they were painted shut. The bedrooms upstairs had ceiling fans but were on low speed and we could not change that. The 2 downstairs bedrooms did not have ceiling fans. We unfortunately hit a very warm weekend (in the upper 80's/low90's), and the house was quite hot. I sent a message to owner to see if there were any fans in the house. I never got an answer which was frustrating. We searched all the closets and found enough for each bedroom. This house is not a great choice for summer weather but would be perfect for fall or winter.

This was such a lovely home with such nice detail, thoughtful additions such as puzzles, kids games, plenty of plates and cups to use and lovely rooms. Just a heads up to the owners that several of the outlets in the kitchen are not working, the lights in the living room in the ceiling fans were not reachable and the overhead lighting in that area as a result was really dim. Otherwise, the stay was great!

This cute, quaint house is in the perfect location for exploring downtown. Everything is within walking distance.

Love this house. We do a girls weekend every year & stay. Prime location to shops, bars & food. The communication is always excellent, a few of us ladies come from different areas & the manager always works with us on our checkin time.

Our family’s stay at this lovely home was comfortable, fun and relaxing. The location is amazing. And the host was friendly, responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend!

We have 5 couples and this house was perfect with each room having a queen bed. It is an easy walk to town, just the perfect location. This was our second time staying here. We plan to book again! Thank you!

There was ample room for our family of 10, including adult children and 3 grandchildren and the location was ideal. It was so nice to be able to walk to town! It also was easy to walk to Dan's Market for groceries or around the corner to access the river trail. The kitchen was well equipped and we easily fit around the dining table. Everyone enjoyed cross-country skiing at Icicle River Trails, too. The host responded very quickly when we had questions. We were very pleased with our decision to stay in this comfortable and convenient home.

Wonderful place to spend a family weekend. Allowed us to all hang out together watching movies, playing games and preparing meals to save money. Love Leavenworth but obviously can be expensive! Walking distance to everything this Bavarian Village has to offer without being in a hotel in the middle of it all!

This was our second annual Christmas family weekend in Leavenworth. The house is located within walking distance to downtown and all the Christmas festivities. Beware the crowds downtown are getting so big that it's overwhelming this beautiful town and shops on weekends.

It was perfect for our group of five women. The front porch was great for sitting in the afternoon.. The location is right in Leavenworth. Everything was great.

We loved it. Would definitely book again. Spacious, perfect location, clean.

Overall its a great place to stay. Cons: we ran out of propane in the middle of bbq’ing dinner with no spares. Only two rooms had ac and the house can get very hot in summer.

We’ve stayed here many times now. We bring our parents, our two daughters and their husbands and our 5 year old granddaughter. The house has plenty of room for everyone, and nobody feels cramped. The front porch is wonderful to sit on in the evening. Location is perfect. Only a couple blocks from downtown. My only complaint is that somehow we seem to always be there when the temperature is over 100 degrees and air conditioning would sure be nice, but we make do. It’s not going to stop us from staying at this beautiful house! Highly recommend.
