Stayed Apr 2, 2025We liked it all. The little 1885 house was precious, furnished with appropriate period antiques. The back yard area was wonderful. It was such a pleasure to sit out on the large back porch and drink coffee in the morning. The house is the perfect location being within walking distance from several historic sites in Natchez, including being right across the street from historic 1820 Rosalie. Everything we needed for a pleasant stay was provided.

Stayed Oct 19, 2020The property was in an excellent location. It is also pet friendly and there is a great space across the street to walk your dog. Also Isabella House as a big fenced in back yard. We would certainly return there.

Stayed May 24, 2019Loved the back porch! Very dog friendly! Cute decor. Some of the kitchen floor tiles need replacing and the noise from the street traffic was annoying, there is a noise machine you can use to help reduce some of the noise. Convenient location, however, and could walk to a lot of the sights. Easy parking.

Stayed May 22, 2026I travel to Natchez annually to visit family for the Memorial Day Celebration. This was the first time that I chose to rent a home from VRBO. The home itself was beautiful. I really loved the back porch. The only thing that I could do without is how loud everything is on the street. It didn't matter what I used to try to drown out the screeching vehicles; nothing worked. I had the room closer to the street. My mother-in-law and son had the other room. They said that they didn't hear anything. Overall, the host was wonderful and very accommodating. If I could move it a block away from the street. I would stay again.

Stayed May 14, 2026Thank you so much for hosting us at the beautiful Isabella House! It’s super adorable, and we really appreciated the perfect blend of modern amenities with the charming historical accents. It made our stay comfortable and memorable. For anyone visiting for the first time, here are a few things we highly recommend:• Visit the Visitor Center and watch the short video about the town — it gives a wonderful quick synopsis.• Hire a local tour guide for a drive-around. Ours shared so many interesting stories and history that helped us decide what to do next.• Take a guided tour of the cemetery — the place is huge and you can easily get lost without one.A couple of honest notes about the house that might help future guests:The road noise can be quite loud all night long. The house also has some charming old-character “aches and pains” — you’ll hear some popping as the temperature changes, and there may be a little critter (squirrel, raccoon, or cat) on the roof or in the walls. The tub/shower has a fun-house effect because the tub is curved, so it feels unbalanced. Turning with your eyes closed to rinse can make you quite dizzy, and there’s nothing nearby to grab. Once you’re aware of it, you get used to it quickly. On the positive side, having my morning coffee on the back porch was incredibly relaxing and one of my favorite parts of the stay.We had a wonderful time overall and would love to return someday. Thank you again for everything!

Stayed Sep 30, 2025The perfect place to stay in Natchez! Great location. I was in town for a convention. This adorable place was within walking distance to the convention center , great restaurants, across from the river walk and the Rosalie house. Be sure to check out the Canal St. Market next door and the striding Post across the street. The courtyard at Isabella house was such a relaxing place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening and coffee in the morning. You will not be disappointed.

Stayed Aug 21, 2025While the house is sweet and the house itself very clean, the porch had patio furniture very mildewed. The house is right off Canal street, it is not quiet and peaceful, there is a lot of traffic noise from the road. While the house is advertised as a two bedroom, that’s a stretch. One of the beds is a fold down in the living room. It’s really only a one bedroom. Also be aware while it does have 2 Roku TV’s, owners don’t allow you to sign into your own Netflix, Prime, channels. We have stayed at many VRBO properties and this is the first time this has happened.

Stayed Jul 2, 2025This cottage is charming and comfortable. It is plenty big enough for our little (3) family. We love that it is in town and within walking distance to many of the places that caught our interest. The tv was easy to figure out--big plus. The beds are super comfy. Overall, it was a great experience and we are all impressed with the accommodations.

Stayed Jun 8, 2025We loved our stay! It was perfect for our wants and needs and we enjoyed it so much. We loved the historical and personal touches the house had and the outdoor space is great! However, this house would not work for someone who may have mobility issues. The tub is not easy to get in and out of and it is your only option. The host was very nice and communicative and allowed to us have a sort of last minute late check out. Lots of essentials were provided, such as soaps, shampoo & conditioner, and even little things like bug spray outside. All in all, it was a great experience!

Stayed Mar 3, 2025We particularly enjoyed the big fenced in back yard and relaxing porch because we were traveling with our dog. He was endlessly occupied watching all the birds, squirrels and neighbor cat. That gave us lots of time to enjoy the beginnings of Spring. It is an easy walk to downtown and very close access to the River. The little market next door had lovely provisions. We are grateful for all that Jackie and Luc provided.

Stayed Dec 30, 2024Jackie is great to work with! And if I could pick the house up and put it down out in the country side, it would basically be my dream cottage! The only hiccups involved the older but very cute cooking stove that has faded knobs that made it tricky to use at first, and one of the burners only seemed to run on hi? The street noise is a definite factor at night but I was forewarned. And they provide earplugs and sound machines. It’s nice that it’s so walkable from the cottage as well. And the claw foot tub is super dreamy!

Stayed Nov 14, 2024Our first ever trip to the Bluff City was a wonderful experience, in large part due to our excellent accommodation in this lovely 19th century cottage. We spent a three-day weekend and everything exceeded our expectations! The rooms were luxuriously appointed and cozy. The noise from Canal Street was definitely noticeable but not intrusive, and the back porch and courtyard were comfortable and inviting (it helped that we lucked into ideal weather conditions - low 70s during the day and low 50s at night with low humidity). We heartily recommend the Isabella House for anyone looking for a comfortable place with a touch of the Old South, but with modern conveniences and a great location.

Stayed Oct 18, 2024We really enjoyed our stay at Isabella House for the balloon races. Nice place with everything that we needed. Really comfortable. It was larger than I expected. Loved the nice back yard and porch. I would say to bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. There is some road noise because you are in the middle of all the action. But that is exactly what we were looking for. We parked the truck and walked everywhere all weekend. Everywhere we wanted to go was within a mile of the house. Really nice for busier weekends in Natchez when parking can be limited. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely stay here again.
