Very nice, quiet courtyard. Front and back deck areas relaxing areas to sit and read. Walk able to all downtown and the river.

Our stay was absolutely Great. Everything close by. Our host thought of everything. Home away from home!

Very spacious and clean apartment, with easy parking, to enjoy a girls weekend with the Angels on the Bluff historical event. A perfect location to discover the shops and restaurants of Natchez.

I loved the space! Huge. Kitchen, dining room and living room. Also convenient for shopping. It is 1 street over from Main Street.

This property is uniquely beautiful and feels like home. The place was filled with interesting antiques and gorgeous decor. Little things like coffee varieties, snacks, games, and a bottle of wine were all waiting for us to arrive. It was perfect for two couples with the privacy of our own bathrooms and its own parking lot. It was close to a great coffee/breakfast shop and centrally located downtown to walk around all the little shops and restaurants. The owner was friendly and accommodating. We would stay again!

Enjoyed this classic southern property. Perfect for 2 couples as each had their own bathroom. It was very clean and comfortable and Richard was proactive in contacting and helping us.

This property was a well maintained property as the listing described. The hosts were very good to communicate with and were helpful with the few issues that we had during our stay. From my understanding, this unit is usually very peaceful. However, to no fault of the host, there was an extremely noisy bar across the road on our night of arrival. The police had to be called out. The host was as helpful as he could be at this time. We were assured by the host and by some return renters that this problem is not customary and very rare. Other than this bar, the location is optimal for shopping and dining. I feel that others would enjoy this unit, but you do need to wait to check in on a Monday to avoid the Sunday night bar party across the street. Having said these things, the host was one of the best that we have worked with and made staying at this unit pleasurable.

This condo is located in historic downtown Natchez. It is very well appointed and filled with art and antiques. The host was most helpful in terms of alerting us to a concert and the local mardi gras parade. Extremely comfortable and welcoming place to stay on Natchez.

Richard was a phenomenal host with keen attention to detail, ensuring everything his guests may need is at the ready. A spectacular property. Absolutely on my list to stay at again when back in beautiful Natchez.

Richard, Jill and Barbara are terrific hosts. The upstairs apartment is spacious and comfortable and convenient to all Natchez attractions. The courtyard is a pleasant spot for morning coffee or an evening cocktail.

Our host made sure we had everything to be comfortable while we were visiting. We had plenty of options to choose whether to stay in and enjoy the balconies or venture out on the town. I would highly recommend this location for a getaway. Shopping, eating, nature trails, beautiful homes and churches all within walking distance.

Everything was wonderful! The apartment is so warm and inviting and it had any amenity we could ask for. The private balcony was a big plus and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The hosts were friendly and helpful and the beds were extremely comfortable. I would recommend this property and intend to return.

“Above the Law” was the absolute upstairs private home away from home. 2 beautiful bedrooms/2 full bathrooms/living room/dining room/kitchen were all fully stocked with everything needed. Beautiful private front and rear balconies gave us peaceful time to enjoy sunrise (coffee & breakfast) and sunsets (dinner and drinks) in the city. A beautiful courtyard (shared with other guests) sets the mood as you enter the gate to the beautiful property. My companion and I enjoyed the privacy and the relaxation in the abundant amenities of this 2000 sq ft property and enjoyed the beauty of the art and antique collections throughout. The overall stay was good. The home is Awesome. The only thing is the Bar across the street…. It was very hard to sleep. I’m sure it was cause of the holiday weekend. But overall it was good.

Booked through VRBO, this place exceeded all my expectations and made for an unforgettable getaway. If you’re looking for a blend of historic charm, modern comfort, and Southern hospitality, this is the spot. My partner and I spent a full week here, exploring the area’s rich history and antebellum mansions, and we couldn’t have chosen a better home base. The charm of this place is off the charts. The Law Building itself is a piece of Natchez history, originally a former law office that has been beautifully repurposed into upscale accommodations. Above the Law is the upstairs apartment, and stepping inside feels like entering a time capsule with a contemporary twist. The high ceilings, exposed brick walls, and original architectural details give it that authentic old-world allure, while the tasteful renovations ensure it’s bright, airy, and inviting. It’s not just a rental; it’s a storybook setting that captures the essence of Natchez’s storied past. We felt transported to a bygone era, yet with all the conveniences of today. The overall vibe is one of elegant nostalgia.

We arrived late at night and the host were so nice and helpful even at that time of night! We will be back!!

This was our 2nd stay here, and we enjoyed it just as much as the 1st. We had friends staying somewhere else and needless to say, this place is where everyone wanted to be.

It was a wonderful clean place to stay in the downtown area. They took wonderful care of you. You are walking distance to all the shops and restaurants.

Well-furnished and supplied; a very large space decorated uniquely; great location; wonderful outdoor courtyard. Would love to rent the space again if we return to Natchez. Great place for a short stay or an extended stay. The hosts are quite hospitable. (I would, however, recommend new mattresses for a more comfortable night's rest.)

This was the perfect location for walking to shops, chilling in the courtyard, or just relaxing in the gorgeous antique filled apartment. The apartment was spotless and the owner provided so many thoughtful touches. They thought of everything! We will definitely be back.

We had a fantastic stay at this charming apartment above the antique shop! The location couldn’t be better—just steps from everything downtown Natchez has to offer. We parked the car and walked everywhere with ease.The apartment itself is exactly as pictured—full of character, antiques, and thoughtful decor that really immerses you in the charm of the Old South. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed, and the space was clean, comfortable, and incredibly spacious. The beds were cozy and made for restful nights.We especially loved the outdoor areas—a big front porch with rocking chairs to enjoy the view, and a beautiful courtyard in the back with plenty of space to relax. There are a lot of steps up to the second floor, but once you're up there, it’s well worth it.The hosts were warm, helpful, and available if we needed anything. It’s clear they’ve thought of everything to make guests feel at home. This spot is a gem, and we’d absolutely stay here again!

My husband and I had a wonderful 3-month stay at the Above the Law apartment. The location in the downtown historic district was perfect for us to walk to shops, restaurants and, of course, the Mississippi River and the gorgeous bluff area. The apartment was beautifully furnished with art work, period furniture and interesting collections, and we also made good use of the street-side and courtyard balconies, especially in the mornings and evenings. Our hosts, Richard and Jill, were so kind and generous with information, suggestions and great stories about Natchez, its history and culture that we felt immediately at home. We had some great conversations with them and overall the people we met in Natchez were friendly, always willing to chat and offer help as we wandered - obvious tourists - around the the city. Our stay in Natchez was a real pleasure and we can definitely recommend a stay at the the Above the Law.

Property is very convenient and walkable to all of downtown Natchez. The interior of the apartment was exactly as pictured. Artwork and antiques everywhere. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and appliances. The only issue we encountered with the property was the lack of ice or a functioning icemaker in the refridgerator. Overall, if we were to revisit Natchez we would choose to stay at “Above the Law” again.

Condo was great! Had everything you could possibly need. Condo is Very spacious and very nicely decorated.

Over the Law is the perfect place to sample the Old South and Natchez. It is an antique-filled apartment above an antiques store. The wide porch offers space to relax and view the city. The kitchen was well stocked and inviting, and the furnishings were memorable.

Property was very nice, owners were delightful. Really enjoyed the stay.

Best friend getaway with my teenage son as a tagalong. Had a wonderful time! Apartment exactly as described. beautiful antiques, comfortable beds and very clean. Stayed her last year and had to come back. Highly recommend!

This is a cool, old apartment above a business. It is decorated in many period pieces. It was very clean and well appointed in the kitchen and the owner is very friendly and helpful. There was written information about the town and nearby areas in the house and the owner was available by telephone for anything we needed. The outside areas were also great--a large deck out front and a courtyard in the back with tables and chairs. Overall, an outstanding stay.

Great stay, beautiful property, older part of town. Lot of steps to second floor but all was good!

I can't say enough about this wonderful location and the hospitality of Richard and Jill. The apartment was beautiful with everything you could possibly need at your fingertips. The beds were very comfortable...made for a good night's sleep. There was great outdoor space, too, including a big balcony with lots of rocking chairs and a beautiful courtyard with several tables. There was also good parking space in a parking lot next door. The location was perfect, too, with easy walking distance to anywhere downtown. The big test for us always is 'would we stay there again' and the answer in this case is a resounding YES!
