Downtown Beach Cottage - Clean, 2 bed/2bath - Dog friendly-3 blks from beach.

I like a lot about our stay at this cute little house. I liked that it was pet friendly, I liked that one bedroom had an onsuite bathroom. I liked that it had a fenced yard. What I didn’t like is there is no AC, just one box fan. Also the sliding door to the balcony upstairs doesn’t work and my check out experience was more then unpleasant. We were there for a soccer tournament. We stayed Friday-Sunday and check out was at 11am. We had a game at 9:20am so I packed up all our stuff before we had to leave for the game that way if the game went long I wouldn’t still have stuff in the house. Our game finished at 10:20am so my kids and I walked back to the house just to use the bathroom and chill for a little until our next game. When we arrived back at the property at about 10:35am the owner was inside the house already cleaning. Beds had been stripped, all towels collected, entire downstairs vacuumed. Thinking he showed up very quickly after we left for soccer. Shocked by someone being there I asked “don’t we have the property until 11am” The owner responded with “yes, but I saw your car wasn’t here (although it was parked right in front on the street) and all your stuff was packed. Moving forward after that he just wasn’t very polite. Seemed to be bothered that we arrived back. Made a comment about not bringing sand in like it was an issue or something. I mean we have four kids and a pup at a beach house, of course there’ll be sand. Just not pleasant. Won’t be returning.

So close to town and the variety of food places great. Kids loved Finland, bumper cars and golf. Plenty of ice cream places. Neighborhood quiet and the beds comfortable. Could sit on the deck and enjoy the wildlife around us.

We liked everything about this place. Great value. Everything worked for us. Just one thing needing some attention. The faucet in the kitchen works in a funny way. It takes times to adjust to it. So making it works the normal way would be good. The bathroom downstairs is exceptional. Very roomy. The living room is very spacious. With the 4 of us we fit well in the kitchen eating area. It was nice seeing birds coming to the birdfeed in the morning right outside the kitchen sliding doors. A very quiet place. Again, we are happy with the house.

This house is in a great location, an easy walk to the Promenade and the beach, but also in a quiet neighborhood with little traffic. The host was easy to communicate with and helpful when we had questions. The house is clean and, except as noted below, well-maintained. The fenced yard is great for travelers with dogs.There are some limitations, however, that weren’t obvious to us from the listing. Both bedrooms are upstairs, and the stairway is steep and challenging for anyone with any mobility impairment. Our dog is elderly, and one look at the stairs made it obvious that he wouldn’t be able to go up or down without significant risk. Since he is used to sleeping in a room with at least 1 human, I decided to sleep downstairs. Fortunately there is a new sofa bed that was comfortable.Our daughter and her partner had no problems going up and down the stairs.The gas fireplace can’t be used, and several of the lighting fixtures weren’t working. This meant that there was no reading light downstairs.WiFi was inconsistent and seemed to have a weak signal. When I asked the host about this, he said it’s a problem anywhere in Seaside. That may be true, but I was able to get a stronger WiFi signal in a couple of locations I tried.

This was a great place to stay. Great location and dog friendly.

Adorable small cottage in perfect location for restaurants, grocery store, beach and still quiet location. Excellent check in instructions. Michael was so sweet offering to send my left clothes in the closet. Just beware of steep stairs. Everything was spotless and plentiful! Would love to stay again!

Walking distance to promenade and beach. Clean and cozy home. Dog friendly, host was gracious about doggy accident the day we were checking out (well communicated and worked out solution). Only grips.. (first world problems).. the coffee pot dribbled unless you poured reeeally reeeally slowly otherwise it made a mess (Black and Decker's fault, not the host). The mid-modern style chairs in the living room are very uncomfortable. Not sure about the couch, wife and daughter sat there.. the two other chairs were very uncomfortable.. definitely need some lazy boys... by the last day I was reading and scrolling in my car because it was more comfortable. 4.5/5 stars.. only because of the lack of comfortable chairs. Would definitely stay there again... just take naps in the car.

The best thing this property has going for it is the location, a few blocks from the main drag in one direction, and the beach in the other. If you have ANY mobility issues AT ALL, this is not the rental for you! The long staircase is VERY steep and narrow! The property is also old. The doors to the upstairs bathroom did not even close. The heat is very old baseboard, which felt a lot like a fire hazard. we left them off when not there and at night. The cleanliness was debatable. The refrigerator was dirty, my husband felt the need to scrub it out before unpacking our cooler. The main floor areas were pretty clean, but in some areas around the perimeter, they have not been cleaned in some time. Overall it did not feel like a good value for the price.

Everything was wonderful! It was comfortable, clean, cozy and the absolute best location! We had so much fun and will definitely be back!!

We loved our stay at this adorable beach cottage. The location was so convenient - walking distance to everything, including the huge beach. Our family of 4 dog were super comfortable. We all enjoyed the jet tub. And even in a crazy rain/wind storm, we felt cozy in the house. Would definitely return!

This was such a clean and cozy home.The host was great to work with and communication back-and-forth was very good.We love to cook and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals.Just a short walk to the beach and downtown.We took our grandson and our two dogs, and there was definitely enough room for everybody.

House is very cute, Quiet and clean. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The only reason it did not get all 5 stars is for the comfort of the beds. For the price, I struggled with the older spring mattress. Otherwise was a great property, perfect location and good for dogs with a fenced yard. Owner was communicative and place was ready for us on arrival.

It was a nice house and the check in was easy. The owner gave me the details I needed about the house. There was a nice fenced in yard, great for dogs. The house is old so not everything worked perfectly but the house was well supplied with things you’d need. As far as pet friendly goes, I was a little put off by not letting the dogs on the furniture. That was a hassle since our dogs normally go on the furniture. But all in all it’s a nice place to stay.

Property is completely fenced so it's safe for dog's. Very clean and nice setting. Close to bith beach and town.

Everything was great …,except the weather….didn’t get to see our neighborhood until Fri. Once we did the neighborhood was quaint! Was close to Broadway…the Hub of everything.We enjoyed our stay and hope we left it in great condition.Thank you Michael!

Cute place that’s a block away from everything you want to see at Seaside

Loved the location and the home was cozy! We traveled with 4 people and 2 dogs and there was just enough space for everyone, but felt tight in the living room area since we had dog crates (we were following the house rules here). If you are traveling with light sleepers, expect creaks and clunks from doors and floors.

The beach house was perfect for walkability to everywhere in Seaside, including the beach. The home was comfortable, clean, and well organized.

Michael's place was well-located and we really appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and other amenities. Michael was super responsive and helpful. Would stay there again for sure.

Cute house. Stairs are rough if older, as we were. But it was mentioned in the description. Met the owner and he was very nice and great at messaging. Nice location to come back to after Cannon Beach and Astoria visits.

This is an older house with the owner working on updates. He communicated well about completing some work during our stay to make sure it didn't interfere with our enjoyment. Very convenient to walk to the downtown area and the beach.

Great beach getaway - close to it all but far enough away to be relaxing.

Owner charges 25 a day, per pet that isn’t disclosed until after you book your stay although he advertises the home is pet friendly. He also sits outside of the home and watches what goes on and who is staying there. Very creepy! We saw him each day sitting outside the unit spying on us. He also showed up an hour before check out, harassing us about the pet fees. The home gets 4/5 stars but the owner gets 0/5. It made us feel very uncomfortable!

Clean, cute & cozy house. About 3 blocks from the beach. The stairs going up to the 2nd floor were pretty steep, so I slept on the couch in the living room. My Granddaughter slept upstairs taking long showers every day. Would Definitely rent it again.

Cute older property. Great for 1-4. Awkward access to bedroom only through upstairs bathroom. Great location and decent size associated yard. Not sure why fireplace is unavailable but would really enhance a stay if it was working even if a stove or electric option was installed.

We spent a long weekend in Seaside and this house was perfect! 3 blocks from the beach and a few more from the downtown corridor where all the restaurants and shopping is located. This is a charming house, decorated with a really great eye! Location easy for walking to everything.

Enjoyed our stay

You should know that there is a narrow steep stairway to the up stairs rooms. No dvd player but plenty of steaming. Strong cleaning solution smell on arrival. Owner was very very kind. Everything else was great. i would stay there again. Older people with hip or knee problems might have trouble with stairs.
