Follow meandering trails across the bluffs and through hedgerows, look for butterflies on the Monarch Glen Trail, or spend a day out on the greens of the Sea Ranch Golf Links (four miles north).

Whale watching season runs from December through April -- grab the binoculars and watch for gray whale spouts from your window. Spring (April-June) brings a wildflower show across the coastal meadows -- lupine, poppies, and iris paint the landscape. Summer (June-September) brings the warmest days and longest light. Morning fog is common along the coast -- it usually burns off by midday.

Cell service can be spotty along the coast. The home has WiFi for staying connected.

We had a nice stay over Thanksgiving. This was an overflow house, and was mostly for sleeping/breakfast since our days were outside and dinners at the other house. It adequately fit our needs and was generally clean, except most corners had spider webs as well as screens.

We loved the place and the location. We especially liked the open layout, the deck, and the hot tub with views of the water and the stars at night. Hope to return!

My family and I spent thanksgiving here this year and had a lovely time. The large windows and open floor plan create a serene, bright environment to relax and enjoy all the beautiful nature that surrounds the home. A couple things to note: Although the photos on the listing show the fireplace stocked with wood, there was none when we arrived an we were informed by the property manager that wood is not actually provided so plan accordingly if you would like to have a fire. Also, the cookware in the kitchen, although plentiful, felt a bit old and some pieces seemed to be in need of replacement. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a sweet getaway at the coast with easy access to trails and town.

Beautiful home in a beautiful place, mostly well-taken care of. Just a few things that could have made it better: 1. Cleaning could be a little more thorough--we opened some cabinets with meal-time items in them to find cobwebs, dust, dead bugs. 2. Fridge has Sea Ranch Housing Association rules posted on it--one of them asks blinds/curtains to be drawn at night if indoor house lights are on to protect the dark sky/stargazing opportunities for neighbors. However, 90% of the windows on this house don't have any blinds/curtains at all--making compliance with this rule basically impossible. 3. A house is currently being constructed immediately next door (Aug 2024) so good luck sleeping in on the weekdays at this place.

Lovely serene setting with a spectacular view. Lots of space with easy access to the outdoors for long walks. The kitchen is quite functional but could use a new oven (current one doesn’t get hot enough) and toaster. The only other drawback is the neighbors are currently doing a major renovation on their house so the weekday noise can be quite loud and start early; hopefully this will become moot soon.

A really fun home in the classic Sea Ranch tradition. We had a wonderful stay there and would definitely come back and stay there again. The large window seat was a great place to start the day and watch the deer, rabbits and quail start their day.

We have stayed at several properties in Sea Ranch and this home captured the ethos of the place wonderfully. However, it was clear that areas had not been cleaned for weeks or months. We tried to let the management team know and they keep saying that bugs are common in rural settings. The bugs are not the problem, it is the spiderwebs, dead bugs and dust indicating that the home has not been cleaned that are the problem. With a small amount of cleaning the owners wonderful home would be perfect.

We had such a lovely and cozy time there that we didn’t even want to leave for anything. The walks to the bluffs and around the neighborhood were beautiful. My favorite part was resting on the window seats and reading my book. Such a treat!
