House was super homey. The view out the back was awesome. The two back beds could go for a foam mattress pad or an upgrade, but would stay again.

It was a great quiet place to stay, everything was seamless and we enjoyed the time by the water. There are kayaks, paddles and life jackets if you want to venture out onto the water, a crab pot and lots of sign of marine life around. Positive reviews all around.

Great weekend spent at Dolphin Cove! Absolutely loved the view! A little chilly and wished we had brought or were provided extra blankets for the beds, but overall a good weekend.

Pet-friendly. Nice screened-in porch. Sunsets are amazing on the dock. Felt secluded but close to everything. One bathroom wasn’t an issue for us but if you have a large family it could pose a problem. Highly recommend this place.

Came for 4 nights for my 40th birthday. Absolutely amazing! Super clean and comfortable home. AWESOME dock for fishing or just relaxing (i caught flounder, sea trout, juvenile cobia, rays, and several other species. Cast net bait right from the dock). Even the neighbors we encountered were super nice!

Dolphin Cove is a lovely property. We really enjoyed our stay. However, there are several pros and cons about the property, I’ll start with the pros:The location could not be more perfect. The whole family loved the dock. The kids are teens so we felt comfortable letting them fish off the dock alone during the day. They caught tons of Crocker fish and my son even got a baby shark (which we threw back of course). The adults enjoyed sitting on the dock with our morning coffee and evening drinks. The live oak in the backyard is truly beautiful and provides nice shade in the back. We didn’t even have a bug or mosquito issue as one might anticipate. The home is very clean and the views from the house are amazing. Proximity to Lowe’s grocery was also a perk. Cons: We visited during the hottest week of the year and the house is older and probably poorly insulated. The AC really struggled to keep up. We left at 70 the whole time, but during the heat of the day the house would get up in the 80s and take all night to get back to 70. The property manager was very helpful, and quick to send fans. On our third day he sent a window unit which really helped a lot! The kitchen was very poorly stocked, the worst I’ve ever seen at this price point. I had a watermelon but there wasn’t a knife sharp enough to cut it. We got crab legs, but then realized there wasn’t a crab pot. Can opener was broken. Also, there was no propane in the grill.

Our 45th anniversary was spent at Dolphin Cove. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the home and neighborhood. The home was spotless and provided everything needed for us. The beds were very comfortable. The screened porch was a plus as well as the deck. The dock was wonderful (not recommended for young children) without constant adult supervision. Great for fishing, sunning and watching the constant flow of various boats on the ICW. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat I highly recommend Dolphin Cove.

Adorable cottage with beautiful views of the sound side. We had a lovely short stay. Only take away was the neighbor’s VERY noisy landscaping and home repair crew. Host was responsive and hopefully has resolved some minor needs at the home.

Me and my family have stayed here before and the house is still in great condition and is the perfect place for a family that loves privacy and the outdoors the only thing that was missing was the remote control for the tv downstairs! Lol but the owners text me back in minutes and we got things worked out! Fishing is awesome caught fish every day

This trip marked our third family trip to OIB. Normally we rent within walking distance to the beach, but this location (on the intracoastal Waterway) gave us a different perspective of Ocean Isle. This rental has a pier/dock perfect for fishing. We drove to Ocean Isle Beach (about 5 minutes away) everyday and then we spent time together on the dock fishing almost every evening. Check in and check out were easy. The manager of the rental was prompt to reply to any questions we might have had.
