Lake stays are meant to be long and relaxing--listen to the birds while you sit lakeside and sip your morning coffee. Work from home with our dedicated workspace and great WiFi. Enjoy our low weekday rates with generous seven or thirty day discounts. Experience all the best vacation memories with your friends--sleepovers with the cousins, early morning fishing, playing games and spending evenings by the fire—even the dogs will be happy! Lake vacations--aren't they the best!

There's plenty of room to park cars in the carport and your boat or trailer fits beside the house. The POA boat launch is just a two minute walk from the house and is next to their safe swimming area. Once launched, park your boat in the boat slip in our backyard. Sit under our umbrella and catch catfish in our cove or launch our kayaks (four of them) or our paddle board right there. We have lifejackets in a brown chest by the back porch.

We've got great WiFi and a huge TV for your enjoyment and you can use your favorite apps like Netflix and Disney. We’ve filled the house with games, toys, books, movies, lawn games, puzzles and everything we could squeeze in, making it the best place on the lake for family fun.

Group meals are especially nice at our huge dining table! Seating for 10 or more! For casual meals, there are tables in the sunroom and on the porch. We have a high chair for your baby, plus baby gates, a pack-n-play and changing table equipment for your wee ones.

You'll find our kitchen fully equipped with all the appliances you'll need plus the gas grill on the porch. Bring your telescope for nighttime stargazing from our upper deck or make S’mores by the fire. You'll want to book at least a week to experience all the fun!

There's great restaurants just a mile north of our home. “Fig’s Backyard, $$ and Fig's Steak House $$$$ (figssteakhouse.com). South of us are “Gab’s Sandwich Shop,” and there’s take out pizza and other fast food at The Dragon Mart and Wingman Pizza at the Valero station. Another favorite restaurant is “The Whistlestop Restaurant and Bar” $$ (Whistlestop.net) in Trinidad. It’s worth the trip!

Visit area attractions like Whatz-Up Fun Park (whatzup.net), Tip Top Lanes Bowling (facebook.com/TipTopLanes) and Cedar Creek Brewery (www.cedarcreekbrewery.com) in Seven Points.

Check out local wineries, Triple N Ranch Winery (triplenranchwinery.com) just south in Trinidad and Sugar Ridge Winery, (www.sugarridgewinery.com) near the quaint city of Ennis.

Take time to shop and dine in The Best Little Market Street in Texas in Mabank. (mabankmarketstreet.com/search). Enjoy a day trip to adorable Ennis, the Blue Bonnet Capital of Texas (bluebonnettrail.org). Experience the World's Largest Flea Market in Canton (firstmondaycanton.com). Daily necessities and casual shopping are just across the lake in Gun Barrel City. Or if it’s sophisticated shopping you’re looking for, it’s just an hour away in Dallas.

Check out the area's motor cross tracks, Underground MX Park,(ugmxpark.com) and The Pit MX Track in Tool.

Buy a ticket for the car races nearby at Cedar Creek Dragway (cedarcreekdragway.com), Big O Speedway (bigospeedway.com) or Texas Motorplex (texasmotorplex.com). Or take in a professional baseball or football game in DFW.

Bring your bicycle or motorcycle to enjoy our scenic and quiet lake country roads or explore the area on horseback at one of the many stables in the area.

If you're hosting a retreat or a reunion and need additional housing, consider combining another nearby vacation home for a lovely vacation for a larger group, making your event even sweeter!

The house was great! The beds are comfortable. Only issue we had is our bass boats and trucks would not fit in the carport driveway. But we found a place to park all 3 of them.

We were all very impressed with how well the house was stocked. We all felt we would definitely rebook this property if we were wanting to stay in this area again. Joan was extremely easy to get in touch with and was very helpful with any issues we had.

The cozy cove was great for our little family get away. The beds were comfortable, better than any other rental I’ve stayed in. It was tidy and clean which is very important to us. Our children are age three and five. My eldest tripped on the stairs a couple times but he lived and learned and didn’t trip anymore. Baby gates are provided if you wanted to block them off. The double queen room is a loft area so I’d recommend a sound machine or the early birds sleeping in the loft area. The house kept cool and the refrigerator is plenty cold. I would recommend going in the late spring or early summer. We went in October and the water levels were pretty low therefore the cove was more of a swamp. The silver lining however were the ducks that were nearby. My boys enjoyed feeding them crackers. We enjoy fishing and since we weren’t able to fish out back we walked down to the neighborhood docks nearby. Not much was biting but the kids enjoyed it and that’s all we cared about. There was a burn ban in place when we went so no outdoor fire pit but there is an indoor option. There was a voice notification sounded in the house anytime the doors were opened which was slightly annoying when kids are sleeping and I wanted to enjoy a cup of coffee on the back porch. On the other hand it was nice to be notified if my kiddos went out. The owners were efficient and informative communicators. I think we would go back if we could go another time of year but work schedule will not allow.
