Fall asleep to the soothing rhythms of the Sandy River at this four-bedroom Brightwood retreat, a dog-friendly home with a tree-lined deck and firepit, lovely river views, and outstanding access to a shared seasonal pool and skiing and hiking on the slopes of Mt. Hood.
This family home is located in a woodland neighborhood between Mt. Hood Highway and the Sandy River, just two miles west of Mt. Hood Village. Enjoy summer excursions to the top of Tom, Dick, and Harry Mountain on the Mirror Lake Trail 13 miles east, and return each winter to ski and snowboard at Mt. Hood Skibowl (15 miles east), Timberline Lodge and Ski Area (21 miles east), and Mt. Hood Meadows (25 miles east).
The living space was designed to bring the outdoors in, with a wall of natural stone and windows and glass doors that frame the surrounding woods. Build an afternoon fire in the wood-burning fireplace; kick back with a good book, a board game, or the free WiFi; and gather with your loved ones on the sofa to watch movies on cable, Netflix, or the Blu-ray/DVD player.
Wake up each morning to walk your dog around the neighborhood, returning home for pancakes at the breakfast bar or dining room table (please note that dogs must be leashed at all times, must be less than 50 lbs., and are subject to a nightly fee). Leave the plates stacked in the dishwasher, bring the newspaper outside to the deck, and sear a few burgers on the charcoal grill when lunchtime rolls around. Spend your evenings making s'mores around the firepit, gazing at the stars above, and dealing hands of poker back inside in the game room.

Many things were not good. Basically the only thing that was clean was the brand new bbq.
Decent property, not far off the main highway but still quiet. The sliding door in the living room needs to be fixed so it can close all the way.
Everything was good. Close to anything you might need.
We very much enjoyed the location of the property with a nice trail right by the river. The hot tub was great to relax in. It was a great little spot for our group for the weekend. Overall it wasn’t very clean when we arrived, a lot of dead bugs and spots missed but overall it was a nice place.
Place was clean, hot tub worked amazing and space was perfect sized! 10/10 will be back again!!
We loved the location and hot tub! House was nice, only think that would make it a little better, getting another cutting board, painting the trim white (downstairs), looks dirty and unkept. Also, tried to use the griddle for pancakes, couldn’t find cord. Otherwise, we had a nice stay. Nice bing by the river, so beautiful! Thank you
We stayed in July. The deck was delightful! All 3 generations enjoyed the treehouse feel of the deck. We brought a table cloth from home--which added pizzaz. The bedding was clean and fresh-feeling.
We had a great time staying right on the river! Beautiful neighborhood with easy access to Mt Hood.
Overall a wonderful experience. The house was great and central to many activities. There were a few items to not that could be addressed. The BBQ is in really bad shape and could use an update and there were moldy dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived. The back yard could use some landscape work since the shrubs have grown into the fire pit area. Apart from those minor issues it was a wonderful experience.
Plenty of spaces for a family of 5. Warm fireplace, clean hot tub and decent kitchen items.
Clean and comfortable place to stay. Went here when we had to cancel other plans last minute. Some of the reviews made me nervous, but we were delighted when we arrived! The hot tub was well maintained and much appreciated.
Beautiful outdoor patio and quick walk down to to the river.
