Dog Friendly. Tiki Bar. High speed internet. Boat dock: canoe, paddle boat

The cottage was so incredibly beautiful. The Tiki bar was something else. We also enjoyed the grill. The best part was that it was pet friendly. My French bulldog has been super spoiled since I retired. She gets very upset when I leave the house. Just look up some “Cashew French Bulldog” videos to get an idea of the behavior. We had a fabulous time. Thanks to Byron and Barbara. Many thanks 😊.

My husband and I had a great time at The Marsh Cottage! Byron was terrific about communication of accessing the cottage and directions to get there. Lake Lure is a beautiful area that is really coming back from the awful devastation of Hurricane Helene. We were visiting to watch our collegiate rower on his Spring Break training trip to Lake Lure. Unfortunately they had truck issues out of their departure in Northern New York so they got cancelled! We decided to still make the trip and it was so worth it! The area is gorgeous! We even got to meet Byron's mom who lives nearby and she showed us the other properties if we come with more folks another time! The Cabin is well appointed and has the fun Tiki Ski Bar area that we enjoyed sitting down at. We didn't bring the dog (had planned to) but it would have been a great setting for her, as well. We are sharing these properties with our friends for sure--an easy drive up from the Atlanta area!

Very clean and cute. The bar was a really fun place to hang. Barbara and sky were very friendly. Had everything we needed. Would come back and stay again.

We loved the place. Perfect for my family, husband, dog and myself. The house and location is lovely. Can’t wait to go back when the lake is completely restored.

Very much appreciated all the help and recommendations given by property owner. Enjoyed a quiet weekend in the mountain, home was centrally located for apple picking , eating out and our hikes at chimney rock.

You will NOT be disappointed! This home not only is super charming but has a history of how it came to be. They made sure we had everything we needed. Great communication from Byron! The queen bunk beds are very comfortable and the kids loves them! We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, paddle boating and jumping off of the back of the pontoon that was provided. We met some neighbors and they were very friendly. The ski bar is great! You can stay shaded while everyone is at the dock. Personally my favorite part was the hospitality that Barb showed us. I really enjoyed her company seeing as I was the only female in our group. This has been my favorite family trip so far! With my upmost gratitude to Byron and Barb; we thank you and can't wait to return.

We had an absolute blast here this weekend!! The property is so beautiful and the views are absolutely breathtaking. The road you're on is super quiet, maybe 6 cars total went by all weekend! There are ao many places you can sit and enoy the lake view. Thank you so much Byron and family for creating such a lovely getaway! The pictures dont even do this place justice! They supplied everything we needed for the weekend which was super convenient. We will definitely use Lakedog Properties again in the future!
