Dog-friendly, Oceanview Classic Maine Beach Cottage near Short Sands

Warm and welcoming home. Great house with lots of room for many friends and family, beautiful view of the water, and really nice neighborhood. Top notch!

We had a wonderful last minute getaway. The weather threw a bit of a wrench in our plans and we couldn’t get there the first night. But Deirdre was very accommodating and gave us a late check out the last day. House was well appointed with an amazing view. Plenty of room to spread out and a great front porch with views of the ocean and the sounds of waves crashing.

Perfect house for our family reunion! Bedrooms, kitchen, WiFi was good.

Comfortable and cute. We loved the big porch in particular. It’s a bit of a walk to the beach but definitely manageable. We would definitely visit again.

Lovely property that feels very much like home right away. Met all our expectations and is our 2nd time staying there. We’re already booked for next year. Absolutely ideal place to invite family and friends to visit, or stay a night or two. Spent most of our time on the porch laughing and enjoying the view.

Our children are adults now but they have not lost their love of the beach. This location is amazing. The porch allows for any time bonding, games and just hanging out. The 0.6 walk to short sands or the Nubble is a bonus. We are appreciative of all of the thoughtful extras that the host has available, such as a fully equipt kitchen, extra beach chairs and toys, bed sheets and towels for bath and beach. Really easy check in and check out. You won't be disappointed.

The host replied to all my messages quickly. The house has great location, can see the ocean from the porch. Went with family and one dog, had a great time! House is equipped with all you need - towels, beach chairs, utensils etc. Has three showers and plenty of beds for a bigger group. Definitely recommend!

My family had an amazing family getaway at this property. There was truly nothing lacking. We had 7 adults, one infant, and our pups. It was spacious, well kept, fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The enclosed porch was a real selling feature for us keeping the dogs contained and safe yet outside, not to mention the outstanding ocean view. Sitting by the fire enjoying the view and peaceful setting was a wonderful way to end the night. Deidra, the host, was phenomenal! She was gracious, informative, and accommodating with every request and responded so promptly. I highly recommend this property with no reservations.
