Our family loved staying in this house. It was clean and it has a comfortable layout for multiple families. It’s a good 20 minute drive from downtown Leavenworth, but we were aware of this while booking and even chose to “stay in” one of the nights verse venture into town given how comfortable this cabin was. All in one weekend we were able to experience a a fun night in, then an easy day drive into tow and also visited the reindeer farm (also 20mins away) to make it a fun, festive Christmas time weekend! We ended up getting hit with a snow storm during our stay and we had concerns of our departure and getting vehicles out of the snow. The staff responded to our need for support immediately and were kind enough to assist us with some snow removal. We would definitely book this location again!
My family enjoyed our stay in this beautiful log home. A wonderful getaway. Pros: The house was clean and decorated in a fun western style. The interior is constructed with massive log posts and beams - impressive. Warm and cozy gas fireplace, 2 comfy beds, lots of clean towels and extra blankets. Kitchen had everything you need. The house was dog friendly which we loved. Plain is a great location for quieter hikes and close to Lake Wenatchee. Cons: large dining area was not well lit so we crammed around the smaller kitchen table for meals. The single and loft beds were uncomfortable. The firewood project in the back looked messy. There is new construction happening in the neighborhood in view from the home.
We loved the cabin, very cozy, and we love Leavenworth! We could not figure out how to work the fireplace, it would not turn on. Very comfortable beds, and a very well stocked kitchen. We had a bit trouble finding the wifi password, as it was not posted anywhere like in other homes we stayed in. There were no any instructions or house rules around, only on the website. The checkin process was nerve-wrecking, as I never received an e-mail with instructions, and when I called Vacasa, it took 1 hour and 48 minutes of hold time before someone finally picked up!! not to mention that I had to call 3 times, because first two times after about 40 minutes the phone call would fail due to poor connection in the mountains, so I spent 3 hours on the phone to get through to someone. I thought we would never get into that house. I am still not sure why they could not just email me the instructions (they said they had to verify my identity, but had no trouble charging my credit card without verifying my identity?) It is a wonderful cabin, just brace yourself if you have to call Vacasa.
As soon as you enter the driveway, the beauty of this place will leave you in awe. Entering the house reveals an open entertainment area with a beautiful and well stocked kitchen. Master bedroom is very comfy and roomy. The dining table room made for some great game nights and catching up with family. 10/10 we will be staying here again.
Home was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We had some internet issues. Management was responsive in trying to assist us. Would just recommend softer pillows and some type of welcome binder typically seen in other home rentals. I saw a binder with property specs, but didn’t see anything with information on what home amenities could be used or what we needed to do for checkout. (For example, there is a hot tub + towels, but we weren’t sure if we could use it. (We didn’t). Also not sure if we needed to strip beds or take out trash upon leaving, etc.)
Great place to stay.
We loved this place. It was big enough for our family. It had a beautiful view of the mountains. We had a great time.
We love this house. We've stayed here two years in a row for a nordic ski weekend. The house is located 5 minutes from the trailhead in Plain, and just a few more minutes to the Beaver Creek trail head parking lot up Chiwawa Loop Rd. In the house: the kitchen is very functional, the beds are comfortable, and it has just about everything you need. We love getting the wood stove cranking and using the unconditioned side room for board games after dinner. It would be great if that room had some more lighting options. The dining table in the great room is a little small, so if you are more than 4 people, you do need to use the larger table in the side room that does require cranking the wood stove, so it take some planning/timing. Would be great if the dining table in the great room could seat 6. Two other things to note for the winter: while the driveway does get plowed, we've found that there is still a few inches of compacted snow and I'm not sure you could manage with a 2 wheel drive car. So in the winter, probably a good idea to have AWD. Even in our Subaru Forester with snow tires in X-Mode it felt pretty slippery! The primary bedroom on the first floor is surprisingly cooler than the other parts of the house, so it is a good idea to keep that door open to facilitate the circulation of warmer air, otherwise you're going to get into a cold bed. Last thing, for the hosts: The kitchen could use a few more wine glasses and soup spoons. We were just 3 adults, and were able to manage, but a party of 6 or 8 would have trouble. Regardless, I'm sure we'll be back again for another adventure on the Plain Valley Nordic Trails!
Awesome home with all the comforts you need. Sadly the power went out in the town on our last day so we couldn't do things like shower and clean up but that's not the cabins fault.
Location was great, far from town which we liked because there was lots of snow. We were somewhat disappointed that the house did not have a Christmas tree or decorations for the holidays.
This was the perfect winter getaway home for our group of 7 adults, 1 child, 1 toddler, and 2 dogs. We loved everything about this home: from the two fireplaces, the 8-seater dining table in the sunroom (not pictured), the huge deck, the loft, the cozy beds, and the well-stocked kitchen that allowed us to make bread from scratch and boeuf bourguignon. There was a little over three feet of snow during our stay but management kept the roads shoveled and clear. We booked this for our Leavenworth visit but we enjoyed the home so much we spent more time at the home than in the town! One suggestion is to make sure the photos of the home are complete and updated. I almost didn't book the home because I thought there wasn't enough seating--thankfully the reviews said there is enough seating for a big group so I had at least that to trust. Management could abate these concerns ahead of time if only there were pictures of the sunroom. If ever we'd go back to Leavenworth, we are surely booking this home again.
Absolutely beautiful cabin in a fabulous area. We arrived the day of their first big snow storm. We couldn’t get in the driveway. They were quick to come plow. I highly recommend this place.
