Dog-friendly House w/Water View, Free WiFi, AC, Private Hot Tub

This is easily one of the nicest and most comfortable VRBO properties that we’ve ever rented (10). The owners have obviously gone above and beyond in their care of the property as well as making sure that our stay was unforgettable. We had a great week and definitely plan on coming back.

Spyglass Hill was clean and well-appointed. The screened porch/deck was excellent for bird watching, reading, and dining. The decor was lovely, furniture was comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable.

We have had the honor of vacationing in this lovely home at least 14 times over the years! The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need. The furniture is clean and comfortable. We have booked for next year!

Spyglass Hill was the perfect getaway for us: the home itself was immaculate when we arrived and is beautifully decorated - it is warm and welcoming! It does not feel like a vacation rental, it feels like a well cared-for bed and breakfast, complete with cozy corners and stunning views. Geographically, we were perfectly situated - and we made the most of our week! We visited the Frisco beaches, took surf lessons, fished in Hatteras Village, spent a day in Ocracoke, visited many island restaurants ... we did it all! The Sound-side beach near the house was a fan favorite among our kids (even the older ones!): we found TONS of hermit crabs there and the kids loved playing out in the water. We took a picnic down there one night and the kids played while we ate and enjoyed the sunset! (Just don't forget bug spray!!). The kitchen at the house was fully equipped, which made cooking and eating at home a truly enjoyable experience. But our favorite moments from the week, hands-down (and we voted, so this was collective!) were the ones we spent on the beautiful screened-in back porch, playing games together, enjoying morning coffee or evening cocktails, watching the wildlife and the incredible sunsets (and especially enjoying the latter from the hot tub!!). What a truly special and magical place. We hope to return soon!!

Everything about this place was perfect! Amenities, location, cleanliness, personal touches, check in/check out, all perfect. Would recommend this spot if you’re willing to drive just a few minutes to the beach and any shops- it’s worth it for the quiet paradise this house offers on the sound! Gorgeous views- the photos will not do it justice. Book it!

We loved the location. Enjoying morning coffee overlooking the sound was perfect. There was lots of room for my wife and I and our 2 teenage boys. It was so comfortable and felt like home. We enjoyed every min here and plan on coming back again.

The property was perfect and has everything we needed for a weeks stay. The home was clean and everything was provided for. 5:00pm is a late check in and I would recommend changing it to around 3:00pm.

Location ambiance amenities well kept dog friendly. Definitely coming back!!

This is a great home, would rent again and highly recommend. The house is beautifully decorated with an excellent view right on the bay.
