Dog-friendly home on the bay w/private hot tub & pool, central AC, WiFi, W/D

It’s a beautiful house! It fit our family perfectly. The cleanness of the house was very poor. The 3rd floor living area was clean, the rest of the house lacked clean floors and bathrooms. Overall it was a great trip with friendly staff at the management office who made sure we had what we needed.

This house provided everything that we needed for our family gathering. It has plenty of seating (indoors and out), plenty of kitchen supplies & appliances, and wonderful location! We had very few issues to report but when going to the Vacasa office, each was promptly addressed. Every encounter with staff was respectful, attentive and knowledgeable. The 24/7 availability is deceptive since there is no way to know when the text would be looked at by a human. We had a fabulous week together with incredible memories that were enhanced by the ease & comfort of being at Ocean Heart.

Great house for family gatherings.

Pros: The owner allowed us to check in a few hours early which was great because We had 16 people there to celebrate our family Christmas. The layout of the house was very functional and I loved that every bedroom had its own bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. There was a lot of seating in the kitchen for all of us to eat together. The bathrooms were clean. The hot tub was enjoyable. Cons: Although the bathroom facilities were clean, the floors throughout the house including the bathrooms were not clean. The ceiling fans had about 1/4 inch of dust on them which flew around the room when the fans were turned on. We found quite a bit of dishes in the cabinets that were very dirty. There’s quite a bit of maintenance repairs that need to be done on this house. The floor boards under one of the bathtubs was very creaky when you stood in the tub. There were a lot of little things such as toilet paper holders falling off, kick plate under the kitchen sink falling off, rusted vent grates, rusted grill grates, etc. The biggest problem was the clogged kitchen sink. We did not call the property manager about this because luckily my husband is a certified plumber and was able to rectify the problem. He did however have to take apart and put back together the pipes under the sink to rectify the problem. I think with a deep deep cleaning and some maintenance repairs that this house could easily be a 5 star property.

Actual amount of space was very good for our group of 18. That's one of the only positives about this tired and somewhat broken down property. There were wood boards between the sofas' cushions and springs, the hvac return was filthy--Vacasa sent some to clean it and the dirt was unbelievable; filter looked like it had not been changed in over a year. Dishwasher had not been emptied by the cleaning staff before we got there--good thing because it had not been run and by the looks of the mold on knives and plates it had been in place for a long time.

We had a great time at this place for our fall celebration! The house size and location were absolutely perfect! Admittedly the place could use a good deep clean to really get an A+. But if you have an easy going group who wants amazing views and easy access to the ocean and the bay then it’s absolutely perfect. We are that group so we had a stellar time and would love to come back.

Ocean Heart was the perfect house for my adult only gathering. The home is perfect for entertaining; however, it needed a deep cleaning. All of the shower curtains had mold on them and I was assured by Kathy with Vacasa that new curtains/liners would be installed that day, but they never arrived and I received no other communication. The washer was filled with so much sand that it required two rinse cycles just to be able to wash clothing. I would also recommend an extermination outside for the spiders. The house is so gorgeous and we had a great time. It’s a shame that it wasn’t as clean as it should have been. A real cleaning and a little TLC is all this house needs to be perfect.

The views from third floor were wonderful.

Great beach house. The host was very sweet and made sure everything was just as we expected it to be.
