The Stibnite Cabin is a true step back in time. This two bedroom cabin is a five minute walk from downtown McCall surrounded by many other cute, rustic cabins from Stibnite, Idaho. Most of the cabins in the immediate neighborhood were pulled over Lick Creek Summit by horse drawn flatbed.
The Stibnite Cabin has been remodeled and updated but still maintains it's rustic charm and history. The cabin is tastefully decorated with décor indicative of McCall and the many local attractionsin the area. The living room features a comfy sofa and reading chair with ottoman. Grab a book, cozy up on the couch and learn about the history of the area (the owner has a collection of books in the living room.) The kitchen is fully stock for those that like to eat in, but don't forget My Father's Place is only a five minute walk away! If things get a bit dirty after a day of adventure in McCall don't worry there is a full sized washer and dryer in the mud room. There are even ski hangers in the mud room so you don't have to worry about leaving your skis on top of the car. In the summer grab the Corn Hole game in the closet and enjoy some time outside in the backyard. After dinner you can even roast marshmallows around the small firepit out back. When its time for bed there are plenty of sleeping options in the cabin.
The master bedroom features a queen sized log bed with fresh linens and cozy comforter. Charge your phone on one of the charging stations on either side of the bed. There is also a large closet for hanging clothes and storing suitcases. Down the hallway at the front of the cabin is the second bedroom. There you will find log bunk bed with a full bed on the bottom and twin bed on top. There is a small desk and full closet in the second bedroom. The bathroom sits down the hallway between the two bedrooms. The tiled tub/shower combo features a mountain themed frosted window that helps to let a bit of light into the bathroom. There is hair dryer in the vanity if you need one and there are extra towels in the linen closet in the hallway.
This comfortable and clean cabin is stocked with everything you will need to enjoy your vacation in McCall and don't forget it is a short five minute walk to downtown McCall and Payette Lake.

The property is listed as Pets Friendly and we brought our dog with us and were questions about the violation of the rental contract. Needs to make it clear in the contract to avoid miscommunication.

we could not have been happier. It looks rather modest from the outside but the inside is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay immensely and felt very refreshed. We WILL be back,.

We had a great stay in this cozy cabin. Actually cozy temperature-wise--I was surprised at how well-insulated it is--heater didn't come on much during the near-freezing nights, and the gas stove in the living room provided nice ambience as well as effective heating. Matt was easy to work with and very friendly. As others have said, the cabin contains everything you need, the location is very convenient and quiet, and the back yard is perfect for the canines in the family. Would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was in a great location and a convenient walk to all the action around the lake. Stibnight was clean and comfortable. I would recommend adding a mirror to one of the rooms. With only one bathroom, it was difficult getting ready to go out. It is dog friendly although the cabin rules say no pets. We were originally going to take our dogs but after reading the house rules we chose not to just incase we got there and were told no. Our daughter and her companion were supposed to join us but instead said they would stay with the dogs so we didn't need to worry. I did email the owner but I didn't get a response until the night before leaving for our trip. Other than that it was a nice trip.

A quaint cabin on a quiet street in McCall. It's location provides easy access to all the town center amenities. If one visited during busier times, then it could quicker be to keep the vehicle parked in the drive and walk to you destination. We don't vacation, or stay. here to watch TV. Still the Smart TV has been recently upgraded. Station connectivity was improved, as well as quality of picture. The house is cozy, clean comfortable and secure. A completely fenced backyard makes a good spot for your canine companion to get outside and sun themselves while taking in the mountain valley scents.

Great vacation! Close to town, quiet, well appointed and dog friendly…what a plus! It does get a bit warm in the summer. If you could upgrade the fans a bit, that would be all I could suggest. 😅

The cabin was just right for 2 people and our dog. Clean, nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The ski racks in the back room were great. Loved the location as it was a short walk to downtown or the lake and longer nice walk to the golf course which our dog loved for a winter snowy walk. The only negative was the “Smart TV” outsmarted us as we could not get it to work. Not a problem as we were there to unplug. Also the description and other reviews indicated a fully fenced yard but it was not.

This is our 3rd stay at the Stibnite and it feels like a home. A short walk to town and short drive to Park (the park is 1 mile north). The cabin has everything we need, not fancy, just comfortable and well maintained and stocked. We notice new touches everytime we visit. The host (Matt) lives right across the street and is quick to respond to any needs. The neighborhood is wonderful and you sense a wonderful community about it. Can't wait to return!
