Dog-Friendly Gulf-Front Home w/ Private Pool/Dock, Fast WiFi, and Washer/Dryer

Arrived late evening and the door code would not open door, messaged host and hours long to reply. Attempted new code within 5 min of notifications and still would not open. Immediately replied w no response. Spent the night in our car. Mid next day before I received a reply two more codes before access. Dining ware required washing before use ( not just one or a missed item). All household items very basic/ cheap. Mattresses poor quality. Many bug bites inside the house washed all linen On day two. First VRBO I felt the property was own or managed for rental use only, not an owner occupying place (my presumption) also first poor review I have ever left

The house was beautifully appointed. Unfortunately, there was construction rehabbing the house next door going on every single day that we were there from 8-5 and sometimes later. Saws, hammers, wood being hauled, yelling, trucks coming and going. We were uncomfortable using the pool and back area until after they had left at night. We contacted VACASA and they offered us a free lunch. They had no other properties available and would not give us a refund. Traveling from Minnesota for peace and relaxation was a total failure. In the past, when renting from another organization, when there was construction going on like this, the owners contacted us ahead of time and gave us the option to cancel. We will never rent from VACASA again.

Overall we had a nice time. Pool and dock were nice(we rented a boat). The house was as listed and fit our family of 5 perfectly. Complaints would be that the bed in the main bedroom was quite uncomfortable (lumpy) and that we didnt have enough toilet paper! Only 1 spare roll in addition to the one partial out. Not enough for a week with 5 people and it was thanksgiving day that we ran out ao we had to go pay $3 for a single roll at the gas station. toiletbpapwr! Only 1 spare r

Centrally located so we could visit all the points of interest. Nice home and pool/dock area. I would stay again.

The view and atmosphere was amazing i have no regrets even after a couple headaches I still loved it there

Love that you had a water view in the front and in the back. Also was nice to be able to dock the boat right there. Location is close to everything. Definitely would stay there again.

We stayed last year and the house was perfect. We rented again and was disappointed as it seems like there is a lack of care for the property by the property maintenance crew. We had ants in the bedrooms and the air conditioner did not work properly in the master bedroom. No follow up calls from local Vacasa rep on the ant issue. Had to deal with it all week!

This property is a VRBO listing but ran by VACASA rental company so therefore it lacks the personal touches ran by an owner that is close by or that you can contact personally. The kitchen has very minimal pots and pans/ utensils to cook. If you are cooking be sure to bring everything you need! All previous rentals we have had in the Keys and elsewhere in the US have had multiple spices, cooking spray, coffee, ect. This property doesn't provide anything but the BARE minimum! This is a split unit property but the neighbors seemed nice and were quiet. There are only 4 large bath towels so be prepared to do a load of laundry while your there. The pool is a small plunge pool but it is nice and clean. The dock area was good. Location is good by land and boat. The mattress in the master bedroom is less than comfortable! You literally can feel the springs in it. We had a good vacation in Marathon but with a little TLC and some personal thought, this property could be jam up. Hopefully our suggestions will be taken seriously and they can be better for the next guest.
