Stayed Sep 10, 2025Lovely house, well appointed, small private garden & car parking on street outside. Pascale & Jean live next door & made us very welcome. Jean introduced us to his excellent wines at his Cave & gave us so much information about the processes. Lezignan makes an excellent centre for exploring the surrounding area, Carcassonne & Narbonne.

Stayed Aug 30, 2025Great host, very friendly and generous with a welcome pack and wine. We enjoyed visiting an buying from their cave. The local bar was very friendly, the local market was brilliant. The gité itself was the best equipped we have stayed in anywhere; a home from home. Only thing wrong was the lack of BBQ. We WILL stay again in the future.

Stayed Jun 7, 2025We stayed 8 nights in June. Pascale & Jean live next door, so the welcome meting was easy. We were delighted with a very generous welcome pack including bread, milk, water, wine, butter, yoghurts/purée, coffee, madeleines, pate & tapenade! Thanks again! Parking is on the street, not in a garage, but we never had a problem parking right outside our door. The house is fully equipped, with everything you need. Water pressure in the shower is good. The outdoor space is great, very private and not overlooked, and you get the sun until mid afternoon on the decking. (A fixed sun canopy has replaced the smaller parasol that appears on the vrbo photos.) Location is good, a couple of minutes walk to the nearest supermarket and the same to the nearest bars and restaurants. We also enjoyed the market on Wednesday morning. Jean kindly gave us an introduction to his winery and vineyards. This was informative and interesting and it was really nice of him to take time out of his day to explain his passion for his wines. And his wines are top quality as well!He also gave us a suggestion for where to eat when we visited Lagrasse. That was really good. Both Jean & Pascale are great hosts and we 100% recommend them and their property for other visitors!

Stayed May 19, 2023This was a nice comfortable gite and the welcome pack was wonderful. Much better than we’ve experienced elsewhere in France. The property was nice and spacious with a nice little covered decked area at the back. The only thing we weren’t mad about was the position of the toilet - tucked away in a corner at the top of the stairs. It was ok once we got used to it, but felt a bit precarious to start off with. I’m not sure Lézignan-Corbières itself was what we expected. It’s just a French town albeit in a really nice part of France. Last time we can to this area we stayed in Olonzac and I think we prefer somewhere more rural.

Stayed Sep 30, 2022Lovely house, very clean and plenty room. Very nice big bathroom. Good garden area with table and chairs. Pascale and Jean are brilliant hosts and thanks to Jean for the wine tasting - the wine is very good indeed and Jean’s informative and entertaining explanation of wine making was excellent. We hope to return one day soon.

Stayed Jun 12, 2022Large home, fully equipped, very clean, with very comfortable beds. Great base to explore the region. Our stay coincided with unseasonably hot weather and Pascale and Jean were very accomodating hosts and did everything to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We would not hesitate to recommend this house when visiting the Corbieres region. They are such a wonderful couple that we felt like we were staying at a friend’s house !

Stayed Dec 4, 2021This is a lovely house to stay in comfortable, warm and we'll equipped. The hosts are welcoming and helpful, quickly sorting some problems we had. The tour of their vineyard was in formative and fun. Lezignan has a great weekly market, a good range of shops, both local and national. It is a good base for visiting the area around by road or rail. We were sad to leave our home having decided this was amongst the best rental places we had ever stayed in.

Stayed Sep 1, 2021We were very pleased with our choice. It was spacious and comfortable. We stayed a month and it truly felt like home while providing a perfect jumping off point to explore the Mediterranean coast, the Minervois and Corbiere wine regions, Carcassonne, Narbonne - everywhere in the Languedoc. The private courtyard was perfect for enjoying the wine finds of the day and the house was in easy walking distance of many restaurants. It was only us two for most of the time but the second bedroom was great when our friends from London were able to visit us for a few days. Pascale and Jean were very nice and welcoming and tried very hard to compensate for our lack of French language skill. The bottle of wine from their own winery and eggs and tomatoes from their garden were very much appreciated. And the tour of one of their vineyards and their cave that Jean gave us was truly a highlight of the trip. With this home as your starting place, it would be hard to have a bad trip!
