Diamond in the Dunes - Huge Beachfront Vacation Home with Large Pool Area & Ocean Views

The house was good - great set up of rooms and bathrooms for a large family of adult kids. For the price there were little annoyances - drip coffee maker didnt work, balcony door was dragging and very difficult to open, you needed to bring your own beach towels. All tolerable but the worst was we’d paid extra to have the pool and spa heated. When we arrived the pool was still being cleaned and it was only marginally done. I asked if the heat had been turned on and he was super rude and said “no, I need to get an email to turn it on.” I asked if he would call or check his email because I’d paid months ago to have it heated. He said “no I needed to call the agency about it.” Which I did and while I was waiting for a response he left! And didn’t heat the pool! The pool didn’t get turned on until the following day and then took a day to heat up to be useable. The spa is connected to the pool and wasn’t hot enough to use either. So for 3 days we couldn’t use any of them and these were the 3 days we had all kids. One of the reason we chose this house was for the pool and spa and we didn’t get it’s use. So don’t rent this house if you want a heated pool and spa the entire time. You’ll pay for a week but not get its use and the pool person was SO rude and agency not helpful. They told me that the spa doesn’t get that hot because it’s connected to the pool and not a “hot tub” but that’s ridiculous as I have both in LA at our house and the spa can be heated to 102.

Gorgeous home. Elevator malfunctioned and property staff promptly came to fix it. The backyard turf area has about a 2 ft drop and isn’t level for use. Neighbors are locals, not friendly whatsoever and called police about noise even though noise ordinance isn’t in effect until 10PM.

Our friends and family loved our stay in Destin in this beautiful home. Loved that it had 3 washer/dryer sets, sand shower near the boardwalk to rinse out sandy feet and a beautiful pool to relax in. Had a few minor issues, but the property manager saw to them quickly. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent property with all amenties included (suite bedrooms, fabulous bunk room, private pool, elevator, easy private beach access, beautiful living quarters, quality appliances/housewares, etc.). We would stay here again for any family Destin vacations.

Stunning property with private pool and exclusive entrance onto semi private beach. Very responsive management team that sends you a link to everything you need to know about the home and your stay. It is expensive but worth every penny. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

This home was the perfect fit for our family of 18. I was a little stressed out with all the reviews about the pool alarm and the codes for all the doors and gates but it was a breeze. Also, thank goodness for the elevator! Everyone had it figured out in no time without issue. We didn’t get to use the bikes much (tires were flat). Great house though!

My family had a fabulous time! The access to the beach was wonderful. The beds, linens and accommodations were 5 star. Our only complaint was the ice machine was located on the bottom floor, not in the kitchen.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The property management team communicated well throughout our stay to ensure that everything was going well. Anytime there was an issue, they were very responsive in addressing them. The home itself was just as the pictures described and the home was well equipped with our vacation needs. The elevator was a bit tricky, but we were able to use it throughout the duration of our stay. Depending on the type of vehicles that you are traveling in, parking can be a bit tricky because the driveway is in an angle, but we were able to fit two 15 passenger vans in the driveway. Overall, we had a great stay and are looking forward to returning as soon as possible.

Beautiful home with easy beach access. Perfect for a corporate retreat. The number of Access codes were a bit challenging to navigate at first but then fine. Garage too small to fit 2 minivans. Elevator helpful yet reliability is concerning. Huge kitchen and eating space. Bedroom suites were above expectations!

Really nice place. Elevator is untrustworthy. Finishing touches were weak. No towel bars or hooks. Curtain rods fell on the floor, stairwell spindles fell to the first floor creating a safety concern, gas smell in the basement. It just seems like the all the finish work was incomplete.
