Excellent hosts and wonderful cottage! Great location and perfectly suited for our family of 4 and 2 dogs. Louise and her husband are always available for questions and are very accommodating. This is our 2nd time staying here and we will be back!

Louise is such a wonderful host and we always enjoy staying at this lovely property! The place is clean and cozy with great proximity to both the beach and downtown Dewey. We normally come down during the Seawitch festival, and Louise always has a treat bag ready for our son, as well as our dog! Highly recommended for anyone with a small family that is looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, but still close enough to the many activities that Dewey/Rehoboth has to offer.

Louise was a great host (very personable friendly, and great communication), property was exactly as described, amazing location and very cleanly. We walked everywhere with our small children, and was an extra plus that we could bring our small dog! Will def stay here again in the future! Thank you!

We love staying here and Dewey Beach has become our favorite place. The location and comfort is unmatched for us and our dog. Louise is an amazing host, we just spent our third time at her cottage and we can’t wait to be back again next year.

Loved it! Close to food,fun,and above all just steps away from the beach.This home has all the things needed to enjoy your stay even an outdoor area to sit at night and enjoy the sounds of Dewey at night.Louise has such a neat and organized home you do not want to leave.

Pros: Ocean side Location- (don’t have to cross over Hwy 1. Where cars drive way too fast and don’t observe the flashing crossing rules.)Parking in a driveway Outdoor shower Outside hose to wash off feet or I imagine a dog if your traveling with oneWhy 4 star review - Cons- Having to bring towels and sheets. Not having a keyless entry. Having to meet owners to get a key.

Cute cottage in Dewey Beach on the beach blook. Also close to amazing restaurants. One floor living, which is great for those who have difficulty with steps. Nicely decorated and host was was extremely helpful and accommodating. My stay was perfect.

What a wonderful experience! From the time we checked in until the time we left this property felt just like home. Louise was a phenomenal host: personable, attentive, kind, and generous (she made little bags of Halloween treats for our son and our dog!) The property is quaint and functional, just the perfect size for a small family with a dog. Being on the beach side is a definite plus, as it is only a few hundred feet until your toes are in the sand! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something in the heart of Dewey that is not too big and not to small, but still within walking distance of the beach and everything Dewey has to offer!

We had a wonderful time . The house was perfect for us and our pups. We had to have a late check in due to death in the family and Louise waited for us . Just wonderful experience ! We will definitely be back !!!

The location of this property can't be beat! Close to the beach and walking distance to anything in Dewey that you would want to do. Having your own parking spot is wonderful. The home is dated, but comfortable and charming. Bathroom is tight but the outdoor shower is a wonderful extra spot to shower. Even though the home sleeps 6, it would be best for a family with small children. It would feel cramped with 6 adults. The porch is a nice place to sit and people watch while having coffee or drinks. Our dog loved to watch the comings and goings and it was a very pet friendly home in a neighborhood with lots of other dogs. The hosts were very friendly and easy to reach with a question. The only thing we felt the home was lacking was a hose for rinsing off sandy feet and cleaning our sandy dog but we made do with the outdoor shower. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

This beach cottage was exactly what we were looking for--on a beach block in Dewey and dog-friendly. Steps to the beach and restaurants, etc. that Dewey has to offer. We loved the front porch and having the picnic tables in the back for morning coffee and dinner in the evening. It's very clean and spacious for us (just a couple and our dog).The kitchen was pretty well-stocked, giving us a great option to cook in sometimes. There's no dishwasher or washer/dryer, but having the clothes line was great to get that fresh smell of clothes dried in the sun! The outdoor shower was nice as well to get that sand off. Check-in is in person, which was a little tricky on our way there as we got delayed and hated to keep Louise and her husband waiting, but luckily they were very gracious about it. It might be more convenient for both guests and hosts to explore some other options for check-in. Overall, we loved our stay and hope to be back next year!

We had an amazing time! The location can't be beat. The home is cozy and clean. The owners are friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this home!

Con: I would prefer to have a lock box to get in the house rather than have the owners and their dog there to greet us and give us a list of the things we need to do while we stay and before we leave (trash nights, sweep the floors before we go, make sure dishes are clean and put away before we leave). The list was already hanging up for us to reference. After driving 3 hours all we wanted to do was unpack and settle in. They were very nice but for us we prefer the ease of a lock box. BIG CON: The AC wasn't working properly. It was 77-78 degrees for 2 days (high 90's outside). The first day I texted the owner and they never responded. I contacted VRBO and they tried calling the owner and they did not answer. 24 hours later I texted the owner again and they responded. We went out to dinner and they came to the house and when we got back it seemed to cool down. It sounded like some vents needed to be changed out and from then on AC was fine. Unfortunately, 2 of the 4 days we were there it did not work. It also seemed like the thermostat wasn't working properly or they were able to control it from home. We would turn it down, go to the beach, and then the thermostat read something different when we returned. Pros: beach block! Close to all restaurants, stores, etc., parking for 2-3 cars, outdoor shower was great! Neighbors in the back were really friendly.
