Stayed Jun 7, 2025We have stayed at Dennys Caribou Lodge the last four summers, this year there was a serious problem. The lower floor smelled so badly of mold/mildew no one could stay there. The humidifier needs to be emptied every six hours. There were many dead bugs in the lower floor. We had to live in the upper floors and that meant someone had to sleep on the couch. I suspect there was a serious leak and all the moldy carpet needs to be removed. Such a shame. It is a beautiful property and we have always enjoyed our stays in the past.

Stayed May 22, 2025Dishes, cookware, silverware, etc., extremely nice, so very clean. Showers great, hot water and great water pressure. Dishwasher top notch. Items within the home was first class, clean and so well stock. Lots of games & great toy room. Layout of house was great for 3 couples/kids for privacy. Appreciated that there were gates inside and on the porches. Had the best communication with this rental! I never wondered about anything nor did I have to go searching to find any answers for anything I needed. This was a great rental and made for a great time that was so enjoyable.

Stayed Jul 22, 2023The house was beautiful everything to make for a vacation in the mountains. We were with our grandson and his family. There was a play area upstairs. We enjoyed our stay and would book again. There was a lot to do in the area and we enjoy the area and will be back.

Stayed Mar 2, 2023House was just right for our family of 9! It is pet friendly (was dog hair on Master bed downstairs), but we asked for pet friendly , so comes with it , I’m sure! Oven needs to be checked between renters for residue on bottom of oven as it smoked up the whole house when we were baking a casserole . We LOVED the house ! Well equipped w kitchen utensils and plenty of seating for meals ! Made our wedding weekend relaxing place to return to!

Stayed Jul 14, 2022The house is very nice and we enjoyed our stay there. However, I was not pleased with the difficulty of getting through to the host when the dryer would not work. Being that we were there for several days and tried to wash and dry towels (used at pool, beach, kayaking, tubing) was frustrating. Also, I wish I could rate the Big Canoe area itself because it would get a zero. The people working the gates are rude and even when checking in at the pool. Guests who are paying alot of money to stay there are treated like “second class citizens”. Maybe it was just the people I spoke to but they were not friendly and wanted to make sure I knew I was a guest and not a homeowner. I wish I wouldve gotten names but one I do remember is Pat. She could use customer service training.
