Death Valley Gateway -Suite B

If you're planning a trip to Death Valley National Park, and don't want to pay the outrageous prices for staying in the park, check this place out. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is really nice. Hardwood floors throughout. 2 Separate bedrooms with comfy beds, full comfortable bathroom, a big kitchen stocked with bowls, plates, silverware, etc. A washer and dryer. A big couch in the living room with a nice tv setup.This is also the closest house to Death Valley National Park. Just keep in mind, there isn't much for entertainment in the town Beatty.

Very cute and clean retreat unit. There were many amenities for off the grid facility, and was easy to come and go. Yard felt very safe and clean, we didn’t bring our service dog in training, I am a professional dog trainer, but I would absolutely feel safe to take my dog(s)

We stayed as a family in Nathaniel's house. Nice quiet place. We recommend it to everyone

Special place to stay, beautiful & warm feeling in the home. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, great TV, really could not be more perfect, and a bidet! Next door is Chuck, such a great and informative caretaker.The hosts are wonderful and it really is the gateway to amazing Death Valley. Oh and there are burros roaming around!

This property was very well equipped - nice beds and pillows, coffee/tea and condiments were stocked in the kitchen, several board games and a mini-foosball table were there to use, and very clean.

I stayed at the property with my brother traveling from Vegas to Walnut Creek, CA after a convention. The property was easy to find, in excellent shape and had all the amenities of home with a wonderful next-door neighbor, Chuck to banter with about the area and things to do and see, where to eat and find stuff. It has a full kitchen, washer & dryer (which we used and worked great), and two separate bedrooms with comfy beds. One of the key things one does not think of but happened on this trip - we really appreciated the fact the facilities were outside the Death Valley Ntl. Park b/c the park had severe flash floods - it closed and everyone inside was trapped. We stayed in Beatty at Suite B and we were fine. We could not get into the park, but the park did not trap us inside. Something to consider and a real bonus. The park entrance is just down the road, so very convenient and close when you do and can go in. I plan another trip outside of monsoon season and would stay at this facility again. The owner was easy to get a hold of and ask questions - very nice and friendly. No complaints, only praises - It feels like home.

Was not expected such a nice cozy home with all essentials amenities and supplies provided and made us feel like home after traveling from different places for a good night stay. Will definitely go back if I have. Chance.

I loved this spot. It was probably the closest place you can stay outside of the park. Clean, quiet, and stocked with most of what you’ll need for a short trip if you are coming in from out of town. The smart bidet was an amazing touch also! I will definitely be back here for my next trip to Death Valley.

This place is awesome. Very comfy. Host was easily reachable by txt. Kids really enjoyed the the stay as well. They had a fun experience with some curious donkeys. We visited Death Valley twice. The house fully stocked of everything we would possibly need. We got some food from nearby family dollar. If we come back to Death Valley this is where we would stay again.

This place was very pleasant. The beds were very comfy, and our host was easy to communicate with.

This location is very close to one of the park entrances which is super convenient. Just beware that the town is pretty sparse (restaurants all serve burgers/pizza/hot dogs), so stop for groceries before you get to town if that’s your thing. Heads up that Apple Maps takes you to a different unit. This unit is on a diff road (behind) so we had to drive around the block to find it. We arrived in the dark and I wish there had been lighting outside - but otherwise check in was ok. The couch is big/comfy, beds were good. But a couple of things that were weird: we had no soap in the bathroom (only hand sanitizer) and the washer/dryer, and dishwasher had not been emptied before we arrived. The place looked visibly clean but finding someone else’s clothing and dishes was a bit disconcerting, made me unsure how well it was cleaned before our arrival.

We loved this place! Perfect location for exploring Death Valley National Park. Very clean, huge TV, comfy bed and nice kitchen. The washer and dryer is a big plus also. Highly recommend

What an amazing place to stay near death valley. We truly enjoyed our time there.

Pros: Clean. Kitchen well equipped. Easy check-in/out. Good communication. Good temperature control inside the house.Cons: Bed mattresses are making a lot of noise when you move and walls are a thin.

This was a cozy place to stay for my trip to Death Valley. Kitchen had everything you need, the TV is GINORMOUS and the bed was very comfortable. Communication with the owner was fantastic, too.

The location couldn’t have been better. On the edge of town at the Death Valley entrance side. The house was much better than expected and perfect for my sister and I to visit Death Valley NP. The place was very well supplied and would have been great for an extended stay but we only had a couple of days. There’s a huge TV, games, etc so an extended stay would have been very nice. Nathaniel, the owner, was super responsive and check-in was a breeze. The wild donkeys in the area just added to the enjoyment.

We had a great experience in Beatty. Location was great for Death Valley. It was about a 35-40 min drive to the main hub at Furnace Creek, 30 min to Stovepipe Wells. The property itself was very comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. Instructions were easy. Would definitely stay here again.

We needed something close to Death Valley and this place was clean, spacious and just what we needed.

This was a perfect stopover on our way out of Death Valley. The duplex had everything we could need for a comfortable stay with a nice kitchen and bath. Very little traffic at night, at least in January. Overall, I would recommend staying here and would stay here again myself.

The property is well stocked and provides the best alternative we could find to staying in-park. The drive to the park is relatively short and you end up central to most major attractions/trails. Would recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy, compact, sunlit property. The house was well stocked, the kitchen was a delight to use. The large TV and the foosball table were nice to use. The property is well located as a gateway to Death Valley NP. Would stay again if ever in the area.
