Jim’s property is the perfect place to stay in Lake City. We were only 3 people but this would be a great spot for a family gathering. I grew up in a historical part of CT so this home took me back to my childhood surroundings. We rode motorcycles there and Jim offered to bring over 3 pieces of wood for our kickstands to park in the wet gravel. He really went above and beyond and was a great host! Plenty of coffee and things to cook with if that’s important to you!

This place is great place for large family groups and it is in the middle of Lake City; everything within walking distance. Our host , Jim, was very helpful and had a lot of good tips about town and local activities. Highly recommend this property.

This house is in the perfect location to walk to town or walk to the river. The yard is great for kids. There are plenty of beds to accommodate a large group. We will definitely be returning!

We’ve been coming to Lake City for over 30 yrs. This trip was a “reunion” trip and an introduction to some of our family. This was the first time we spent a couple nights in town before moving to cabins out on the way to Cinnamon Pass. It was a great way for the family coming from different parts of the US to meet up.There were 11 of us and the house was perfect. Plenty of parking even for the toy trailer, backyard was great for the kids and our puppy.The owners were amazing and so helpful. We definitely recommend staying here if you have a group of family or friends!

Second time staying here. Gorgeous home with lots of space! Love it!

This is a nice Victorian home in the heart of Lake City. The location was excellent for our trip - close to everything. We brought machines to ride the Alpine Loop and there was plenty of parking for trailers. The backyard was a great place to relax, BBQ, sit by the fire and enjoy the weather. Kitchen was large with the 2 tables - plenty of space for dining and playing games. The primary suite upstairs was very nice. Two of the upstairs showers were equipped with body jets - nice. Two of the king beds were downstairs and shared a bathroom with no shower which wasn't ideal, but that is a little expected with the age and style of the home. Plenty of bedrooms to accommodate a lot bigger party than we had. Jim was great and gave us a nice walk-thru so we were familiar with the way things worked.

Gowdy Manor was perfect for our group (4 couples). Wonderful location and great old time style Manor with interesting history. Thanks for hosting us!

Great location and perfect access to Alpine Loop. Held our large family well. Kitchen well-stocked. Bed was comfy. Most importantly, lots of parking!

Absolutely loved the owners! Jim and Dana were some of the nicest people in the State. They let us tour the place a couple months before our scheduled stay. Boy, do they keep it stocked! You got everything you need here. Plenty of towels and toilet paper were the biggest things for me. Would definitely recommend staying here if you're a big group in Lake City.
