It is a country environ as expected. The roads are winding and we did not stay out late as the ride back can be challenging in the dark. Of course, we were better at it as the week progressed. We were near enough to get everywhere we wanted to go easily but definitely felt remote and the quiet was excellent and the night sky astounding. Loved watching the deer at the feeder. It was comfortable and just lovely.

Beautiful place, peaceful and quiet. Saw lots of wildlife both there and on the drive back to the cabin. Only suggestions would be the main floor living room could have more seating. We don’t have enough room for all of us to sit. Better pots and pans. Fry pans especially. More kitchen towels. Over all had a great stay and enjoyed it very much!

This cabin was wonderful! It was perfect for every need we had. We loved the beds, there were plenty of hooks in the bathroom (this is typically lacking in most rentals), the property, grounds and location were beautiful, and contact with the property owners was effortless! Also note that it was immaculate! Would definitely stay again if in the area.

We absolutely loved the location and beautiful drive to the cabin. We received check-in information ahead of time, so we had no problems getting into the cabin upon arrival. The cabin was very clean, and our group of 5 had plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen had everything that we needed, and we used the grill each evening. We also saw plenty of turkeys and deer each morning and evening. I highly recommend this location to everyone!

We stayed here for the week. It was quiet and had beautiful scenery. The kitchen items met our needs. Their only thing I would suggest is not to have flannel sheets in the middle of the summer. The house was very clean. It was a great place to come back to everyday after exploring.

Our family visits the Blackhills at least every other year from Wisconsin. Normally we stay in hotels in Custer. This year we decided to try something new and looked at various VRBO options. My 15 year old son ultimately chose your property because, as he put it, This one looks like South Dakota. Amazing choice. You have a beautiful property. The relaxation factor is immeasurable. Everything was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We had everything we needed for a perfect Blackhills vacation. Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful hub fir all of our Blackhills adventures!

We have made 8 trips since 1989 to the Black Hills and alwayscamped. This time we enjoyed the beautiful location, scenery, wildlife from our home in the hills. Everything was within close driving distance. Enjoyed a horse trail ride close by in the hills. We also enjoyed many sites, history, fishing, hiking. Our hosts were very helpful to answer our questions in a timely matter. We will be back.

We stayed for 3 nights, the Cabin is everything as described and worthy of a 10/10. The location is great, 20 min the Rapid City, 20min to Keystone. 1.5hr to Badlands…1.5hr to Deadwood. Peaceful, quiet and just want we were looking for. The only thing I would ask more of would be blankets.

Our family of five stayed here for a week while we toured the Black Hills and surrounding areas. This cabin had everything we needed and more! Plenty of space to sleep, relax, and all things needed to cook meals. We enjoyed watching the turkeys and deer come for the corn feeding in the mornings and the location of this home made it easy to do day trips to many different places. We had no issues during our stay and would definitely come back!
