Ghost Canyon Getaway Unit #3

Quiet, beautiful spot far away from crowds, yet accessible to sites. Enjoyed the fire pit on a cool night and the grill was handy. The extra two folding side tables inside were helpful. Comfortable bed and space. Started to feel like home.

Beautiful setting. Cabin was perfect. If you love nature, this is the perfect place for you. So glad we chose Ghost Canyon Cabin. We will definitely stay there again

It was a quiet get away, we were only there for a few hours as we were heading to the Buffalo Round Up but wish we had another day/night there.

My husband and I booked last minute, we are glad we did! Beautiful surroundings! Joanne greeted us when we arrived to be sure we were comfortable, nice touch! Thank you!

If you're looking for a rural property with lots of peace and quiet, this is the rental for you. The property offers a kitchenette, sofa, TV, air conditioning and a shared outdoor space. The outdoor space provides access to a grill and firepit.

The unit was very clean and well equipped. The property was beautiful and in a great location. We loved visits from the animals and peaceful nights by the fire pit under the stars.

The setting was beautiful, and it was convenient to Custer. Very clean. The pullout bed was not comfortable (probably to be expected) but the main bed was good. Great communication too. Thank you for a great stay!

The property is located in the country with horses coming to the fence to greet you. The cabin is decorated very nicely and fits very well with the country location. Everything we needed was provided in regards to kitchen items,dishes,towels, shampoo, conditioner,body wash... The location was ideal for our trip to Custer State Park and Keystone area.Everything was exceptional.

If you enjoy looking at open skies, evening stars and pastoral views of horses this is the place for you. The photos and descriptions by the owners were spot on, pretty much what we expected.

First of all, the property is just beautiful. Idyllic with horses and deer roaming in the fields. We enjoyed the yard where the kids ran around, explored, and played volleyball. The room was very clean and had everything we needed and then some. You can tell that the host has put a lot of thought into making it as convenient as possible. She even brought her horse over for the kids to see. My kids slept on the sofa bed and we were very comfortable. We accidentally locked our keys in the car and had to wait for roadside assistance to come open it—I was worried we were too far in the boonies and it was Sunday, but it went fine. The property is very close to Custer State Park and Mt. Rushmore and was a great home base for sight-seeing. We would definitely stay here again!

The property was equipped with all needs. Although we thought the house was perfect The several mile road was red dirt and because it rained my car had red clay in wheel wells and my car was a mess. Chunks of red dirt fell out each time I took to car wash. I believe description said gravel road; and this was not gravel. I imagine in dry summer months the road wouldn’t be an issue.

We had a great time and absolutely want to return. The location was great and we would recommend this stay to our friends and family.

So tranquil!! So relaxing. Watching the beautiful horsesright in your back yard.

If you like the crowds and tourists, this isn’t for you. If you enjoy quiet, wildlife, beautiful surroundings, and accessibility to the National Parks, then I highly suggest you look this place up. Everything was seamless and as advertised. I’d love to return someday.

We had a wonderful time staying! It wasn’t too far from the attractions and peaceful atmosphere! My husband and I didn’t want to leave cause it was so nice! We will definitely come back!

The scenery was amazing. Relatively close to everything we wanted to do. This particular cabin on the property (cute as it was) was a little small for a family of 4 (but doable) however, the cabin we did want was booked so this was the tradeoff for being away from all the busyness of tourism which is what we were looking for. Hermosa has a little grocery store so there is no need to go to Rapid City. The host was easy to work with. We wanted to add a day to our trip, messaged the host and boom, it was taken care of. Would highly recommend staying at Ghost Canyon Getaway!

This was the most relaxing place! Clean and had everything we needed. Matt is a great host! We will definitely stay here again. The view is beautiful and the atmosphere is relaxing. If you’re looking for a place off the beaten path, but still close to the sites, this is your place. Highly recommend!
