Stayed Mar 11, 2024I loved the historical condition of the house. I visited with 5 other ladies for my 60th.I loved the fact that there were so many small eating places so close to where this is. Hidden Gems ...Barracuda Taco Stands fish Tacos were amazing as was the food and Service at the Dry Dock Cafe.

Stayed Jul 2, 2021We loved this place! Our family of 5 fit comfortably with room to spare. It was so cute and decorated so nicely. The fridge and cabinets were fully stocked with food. The stay is in Algiers Point, the 2nd oldest neighborhood in New Orleans. It’s across the river from the French Quarter but only like a 10 minute walk to the ferry and a 10 minute ferry ride over. My wife and I took a morning walk on a recreational trail overlooking the mighty Mississippi. It was really a wonderful stay and we would book again.

Stayed Jan 1, 2026Host was nice, but location and the surrounding looked very bad, everything inside very out dated , bad odor, no doors for any privacy only on bathroom . Slept in my clothes on top of bed with my shoes on. Left next morning very early. Not my kind of stay . Will not return…

Stayed Dec 18, 2025The facility was not as described. It was dirty, dog hairs on the beds, some of the beds were not made up. The back door was standing wide open with a trash bag full of trash right in the middle of the door. The incense that was burning smelled terrible. 'two of our family members had an immediate allergic reaction to something in the house. It was decorated in a non-family friendly style. The owner was friendly enough but unwilling to make any accommodations or remedies. It was so bad, we were not able to stay there. We were lead to believe it was within walking distance of downtown area and it was not. Just not good.

Stayed Nov 23, 2025The host was wonderfully receptive to all our needs. He went above and beyond to provide not only the perfect space but a fully stocked kitchen. We spent time talking with him, learning about the neighborhood, and the history of New Orleans. He was very insightful concerning sites that would be of interest to us. I cannot say enough, good things about this property, the neighborhood, and the host. We will definitely stay here again should we find ourselves in this part of the country in the future! Love the ducks in the backyard who seemed unaffected by my Great Dane! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Stayed Jun 5, 2025This is an amazing creole house. We wanted the New Orleans vibe and this definitely delivered. The owner was super nice and accommodating and leaves food and drinks in the fridge for us and went above and beyond. If you want the New Orleans feel this is the place. It’s 10 minute walk away from the ferry, we didn’t get to do that because the kids didn’t want to walk but it’s super convenient. The house has so much charm. I loved it and the kids got to see New Orleans. We will be back and stay here again!

Stayed May 23, 2025The man who owns this property is wonderful! The home is filled with the culture of Louisiana. It’s not the “ritz” the home could definitely use a deep clean. For the price we paid, and the 9 people easily accommodated I couldn’t possibly complain. The hotel stay would have been triple. The ambiance of the home was like having my family in a huge slumber party. We stayed up late playing games, and woke up to enjoy coffee on the front porch swing. If you are looking for the Marriott move along, if culture, history and southern charm is what you want, this is your spot! Love this place

Stayed Mar 22, 2025We will absolutely be returning! While the house isn’t located in the heart of the action (French Quarter), it’s conveniently close to the ferry for easy access. The host was incredibly kind, even accommodating our late checkout. The space offered plenty of sleeping areas, though not much privacy—which worked perfectly for us. Plus, the fridge was well-stocked with drinks and food, making our stay even more enjoyable. Looking forward to another quick getaway here!

Stayed Jan 17, 2025We loved this place but it wouldn't be for everyone. It's quaint and quirky, in a charming neighborhood, close to the river and the ferry, which is a fantastic bargain, get the Jazzy Pass which also includes unlimited rides on the streetcars and buses across the river. It has a cute front porch with a hanging swing and little pillows which we utilized in the evenings on the very quiet street. Rarely did a car go by.The shotgun style house is just that, so you'll need to be good friends since you're all sleeping essentially in one area. You walk into a living room with beds, into a second living room with beds, into a third living room with beds, into the kitchen and then separate bathroom. Decor is NOLA vibe, definitely not minimalistic and oddly interesting. It's a historic building and that essentially means it's old. There are ducks in the back yard which can be loud but we thought they were pretty cool. The owner, who lives on the other side of the duplex house, is a sweet older guy that thinks of the rental as a B&B, and readily supplies all kinds of things in the fridge and cupboards, like eggs, waffles, juices, coffee, breads, cheese and not the cheap kinds either . We cooked fabulous breakfasts both mornings and enjoyed the adult libations he also left us. As the title says, I'd go back in a heartbeat and although the others with me were not quite as enthusiastic about the place as I, they'd go back too!

Stayed Oct 25, 2024The host was not responsive at all. While the outside looked cute and quaint, the inside was another story. First of all, the locks through the house are not safe. They are wobbly and falling off. We had a chair up against the back door and had the coffee table pressed against the front door. One bed was completely unmade and two looked like someone had been sleeping in them. The neighbors were also rude about a PUBLIC parking spot and made us feel unsafe. The whole experience made us feel so unsafe that we didn’t even stay a night. As soon as we walked in and felt out the place, we did not feel safe to sleep there so we frantically searched the town for ANYWHERE else to stay because anywhere would be better than this place. I have never had an experience like this - especially with so many amazing previous reviews.
