Williamsport, Pennsylvania
A private retreat on the Loyalsock Creek located 10 minutes north of Montoursville, PA and less than 15 minutes from Williamsport, the home of Little League Baseball. Our retreat sits on the pristine waters of the Loyalsock Creek with access right behind the home to swimming, fishing and kayaking.
Our 5 bedroom vacation home is meticulously maintained and is completely furnished with all necessary linens/towels, dishes, utensils and cookware. Creekside Manor has a unique character with the abundance of richly appointed wood and mountain stone harvested from the surrounding forests many years ago. We like to refer to it as "rustic luxury"! It is truly a home away from home in a beautiful setting.
You'll have the entire house and surrounding grounds available to you during your stay. Our property is set up as a vacation rental so you won't have to worry about navigating through an owners personal items and searching for your own storage space or working around someone else's refrigerator contents. Our bedroom closets are empty as are dressers, drawers and bathroom cabinets.
There is a separate garage not connected to the house and this is not accessible to guests.
During the summer months of June to mid August, we have a one week minimum and our weeks run from Saturday to Saturday. So, check in on Saturday and depart on Saturday. During the Little League Baseball World Series period starting in mid August, we provide the opportunity to reserve any 10 consecutive nights desired. Our rates during that period are also adjusted to reflect the market pricing. Other times of the year we have a 3 night minimum (except for Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season when it's 4 night minimum) and any 3 available nights can be booked.
One bedroom and one bathroom on the ground floor.
Four bedrooms and one bathroom on second floor at the top of a 13 step stairwell.
We are located in an area that draws outdoor enthusiasts including those who like to fish, hunt, hike and camp. The Consolidated Sportsmen Club of Lycoming County is located in our same valley. Don't be alarmed if you hear shots coming from that area.
The area is served by a rural electric co-op and there are times that the power goes out. It may not happen for months at a time, but on the occasion that it does occur, it generally is out for no more than 1 to 2 hours.
We do not provide watertoys, canoes, or kayaks for liability reasons but welcome you to bring your own or rent them from a local provider.
We offer a beautiful flagstone patio with a gas fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs.
There's also a great campfire ring along the creek for your use. Campfire wood is provided.
Additionally we have an indoor fireplace that is available for guest use during the appropriate season. We provide the fireplace wood as well.
We spent Christmas at the creek house and had a wonderful time. Michael has a beautiful home and keeps everything you need to feel at home. This was our second visit and hope to have more.
Our two families spent Thanksgiving together at the Manor. Great set-up with two comfortable rooms to socialize in (too cold to use the sunroom), nice kitchen and table that expanded to accommodate the nine of us. Beautiful surroundings with river that supplied us with two trout! Very cozy.
We selected this property so that it could hold my family as we were there to cheer on my sister umpiring in a Little League World Series. The place was spacious, clean and beautifully located along the creek. We also enjoyed dining at Pier 87, since we were back-and-forth to the ballpark multiple times a day and every day. It was a great gathering place for my sister to even come when she wasn’t umpiring.
Owner was so wonderful to communicate with! House is lovely! Very cabin like. Probably the cleanest rental we have seen! I loved the decor and floor plan, simple and open. Living room is so cozy with the fireplace and the TV room was bright and beautiful. The sunroom was the perfect place to eat for our family of 11 with a lovely view of the woods and creek. The back yard had two sitting areas that gave the same view. The constant sound of running water was delightful and so nice for sleeping. It was cool enough in June to have the windows open. Very few mosquitos. Many happy family memories. The children swam in the creek every day, multiple times a day. We also enjoyed Williamsport, World's End State Park and the Lewisburg farmer's market on Wednesday, 8-3.
Creekside Manor was in an incredible location next to the Loyalsock Creek within close driving distance to the Loyalsock Trail and other beautiful activities.
The cabin was really nice and the SOCK was as good as always. My grand kids loved tubing and finding crayfish. We got a chance to visit friends and family. Overall a great family trip.
This property is so far beyond other rentals that I have stayed in. Beautiful woodwork throughout, stone fireplace, impeccably clean and right on the Loyalsock. I would love to go back and spend a couple of weeks there. Absolutely top shelf!
The house was perfect for our family. I would highly recommend this home.
Had great time will rent again next year.
The Manor was a great place to enjoy the holiday. My family enjoyed the opportunity to fish, and use the outside fire pit. Michael is a great host.
