This is a rare and unique creek house located on the creek in Murrells Inlet. It has been in our family for more than 100 years, and has been renovated and updated inside for comfort and modern conveniences The house comes with a private dock built in 2017, and a floating dock if you wish to bring your boat. We are 1/4 mile south of the public boat ramp in Murrells Inlet. Plenty of parking on our lot for boat trailers. Electric power and fresh water hoses on dock. Dock is new since 20

Stayed Jun 15, 2025Was great place on the marsh. Fished off dock and caught flounder and other fish. Within walking distance to marsh walk. Loved setting on back porch looking out over the marsh. The owner (Leon) came out to meet us. Very friendly and was very happy to show us around and asked if we were satisfied and if we had any issues, which we didn’t. Nice older home with plenty of room. The family group were all happy with our stay there. If you are looking for a peaceful stay at an affordable price, then you should look into this one.

Stayed Apr 30, 2025Several friends and I stayed at Marshmere during a May fishing trip. The location is excellent, as the boat landing is very close to the house for launching kayaks or power boats. We caught flounder from the dock at the house, and caught Spanish Mackerel and blues from Springmaid pier, which is a 20 minute drive away (plus there are closer piers). We walked to dinner on the Marsh Walk, which is also close by.The house is old, but has a lot of character, and it was clean. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch looking at the marsh (what a view!) in the evenings after dinner.Mr. Rice, the owner, was easy to get in touch with and checked in with us a few times during our stay to make sure everything was going OK.We all agreed that we would like to book another trip to Marshmere next year.

Stayed Apr 19, 2025A wonderful summer cabin with large rooms, a waterfront facing porch with rockers and hammock...who could ask for more? The owners couldn't have been nicer. The property was close to restaurants and attractions, yet so quiet and peaceful. We definitely will return!
